- Quickly remove an axle nut that keeps spinning. This happens when the car is not on the ground & is raised up on a floor jack. 6) If you think you need a new CV Axle nut, a new CV joint usually comes with a new cv axle, however you can also purchase them separately if necessary.

I thought we cant do this with car in the air it can make it move i need to do it too i took off other sides axle out and i cant get new axle in on drivers side it dosent pop out easy so idk what to do
Back in the day I would crack it loose with the tire on the ground. The weight of the car would hold it.
Yes that is still the best way to do it. This helps more so for people who already jacked the car up or are doing this at a junkyard where the vehicle is already raised up.
This is a good way to crack your rotor. I tried to out the lug nuts in and wedge a 3ft breaker bar, it was so mch force it stripped the threads right off the lug nuts and bent it.
