Bruh, ever since I saw the grey prototype of this guy, he already looked LEAGUES better than both SHF versions. I love collecting from SHF but Fat Thor unfortunately, while his final battle version is better than the one they released first, I don't understand how they could not get his head and hair done RIGHT. Meanwhile with a simple prototype, Mafex IMMEDIATELY won me over and super happy to see the figure lived up to the hype. Superior to his other versions in headsculpt, face designs, hair and beard accuracy, accessories and even the body looks just right! SHF makes him look fat but also sorta stumpy while the Mafex version pulled off the fat look but also keeping Thor's Godly height amongst his mortal companions.
originally i didn't pre-order him thinking the SHF version is good enough, but i ended up getting him through HLJ for regular msrp. now i have a dilemma, i have all Cap, MK85, and Endgame Thor with Takara Tony, Mannipple parts. AND i'm just waiting for amiami to send me payment request for MK85 and i'll have all three in Mafex as well. The new mafex ones are simply amazing, but with the aftermarket parts, the SHF are as well. having a hard time deciding what three to keep in main display. the SHF IW Thor is already back in the box replaced by mafex.
I'm very happy with the ML version--however I wish ML and Figuarts would follow suit with Mafex making Stormbreaker significantly larger because it should be!

He looks great thoroughly detailed throughout the head sculpts, Mafex arguably does accessories better. However, he isn't fat enough (never thought I'd complain about that) compared to how he should be.

Its a good figure, but the body proportion is a bit off for a Fat Guy.... its like a muscular dude just got a super heavy meal and gets bloated..

having this in hand, you can adjust the lower abdomen to either make him look fat or slimmer. the same idea as the mafex peter B parker.
