Adding a counter to a Morizumi spoke machine

My Morizumi spoke machine is ten years old, but I have no idea exactly how many spokes I have threaded with it.
All I know is it is many tens of thousands, and it will soon be due for it's third set of dies.
I finally did what I should have done years ago and mounted a counter on it to keep track.
