Get yourselves to the great Dorset Steam fair, get to the top of the hill surrounded by steam engines. God bless Fred don't make ERM like they used to.. Nice song sung with love bless🙏🗣️get to the STEAM FAIRS an remember our boy. 😢💯🙏🗣️🆘🇬🇧💪✌️🤩😍
i liked your song, remember seeing him 1st time on tv (he was on holiday, but was working at the same time😀) what an iconic character, that was (for me) the start of reality tv in the late 70's.great memories😣.
@@matildariverwalden1581 I understand that when Fred was little his dad Frank and Mum Betsy brought him a live steam model model of a stationary engine despite them not having much money. I might have got my information a bit wrong here. Fred loved steaming the model engine up until one day not knowing how powerful steam pressure is he closed off the boiler's safety valve in order to get more power out of the engine. eventually the engine blew up and caused some damage to the roof of their dining room. I understand Fred was punished for making the steam toy engine blow up.
@@matildariverwalden1581 I understand that Fred knew a friendly engine driver who who would let him have a ride on his steam engine when he went down to the engine sheds in Bolton. I understand that he had metal working skills from a early age and they came in handy when someone stole the keys for the school class rooms. I understand he helped out by making new ones. I don't know if my facts are true or not
