I’ve been looking to buy another electric pressure washer after my harbor freight Portland blew apart during hurricane Ida. Either way it was either this, the craftsman, or the ryobi and after seeing different videos on the the other 2 I’m sold on this one and the quick connects. Love the video bro. Plenty of info with style lol. Thanks
Former Lowes employee. Just so you know if you go in store and an item in store has a higher price than online it is most likely just the tag has not been changed. If the product has the same item # as the one online, just show your store associate that listing and the matching product numbers and they will honor the online price. Edit - you did actually say that....i just had to listen to it a twice to hear it
Keep in mind, the 15 amp / 120v motor size is selected to keep from tripping the average household breaker (which is typically 20 amps) on the start surge current or if you have some household items on the same circuit.
I purchased this very unit from LOWES and I love it. I’ve used it on the exterior of my house, my deck and fencing, and my automobile. It runs must quieter than my previous gas operated. Michael B.
I bought one today - 8/15/20 at Lowes for $199.00, and i also bought an 11 inch surface cleaner and everything is still in the box. thanks for the video of setting everything up. It will make my life easier on the setup.
Thank you so much for this video! Our small, 1650 psi electric pressure washer from Walmart finally died after 18 years. It served it's purpose well (kept our front porch and back patio clean) but we were ready for an upgrade. My dad has a gargantuan, gasoline model out on his farm if we ever needed that much power, but for us, another easy-to-care-for electric one was really all we wanted. I started my research but didn't know which to choose - there are SO many on the market - all coming with their own set of positive and negative reviews. You did an awesome job covering all the important points about a pressure washer: build, fittings, materials, etc. I decided to go with this model based on your real-life review. It was delivered just today. Yes! The hose IS much, much better than many out there and I love that the on-board storage hooks are large enough to accommodate what they are storing! This homeowner is VERY grateful for videos just like this! Thank you!!
Just thanks very much for the excellent video. I bought this pressure washer and then bought a shorter gun to use with a soap cannon (awkward having a pint of water hanging out at the end of the long stock wand). I am very happy with both. The quick-connects are an excellent accessory. Although I am somewhat mechanically inclined, I would have never figured out which quick-connect parts go where without re-viewing your video. Much appreciated.
Hi Aaron Lowes heads this now for 179. I see this review is 2 years old. R u still a fan of it? Should I consider a different model? Don't want to spend more than 225. Thanks
video was helpful for unboxing, set up thx. tip: demo this on a ligher surface that needs cleaning, that can show the product's removal of the debris, that part was useless. comparing tips as other videos have on a dirty surface would show effectiveness.
My Karcher is 3-year Parts & Labor on motors, pumps, handles, frame, structural components, electrical components, & switches. 90-days on Accessories. I will say this Greenworks GPW-2000 is amazing and if something happens to my Karcher K1700, I’m going to buy this one.
I want to thank you for the in-depth review. In my opinion, it is one of the best reviews and explanations I have seen. Greenworks should hire you to review all of their new models. It would be a big benefit to them, plus it would fill your garage with a great many new tools to your inventory. I am a retired international marketing guy and I do know from where I speak. Thanks again, I ordered it today!
Great video! It helped me decide to purchase this model. You review was spot on! Great power washer for home use. And yes, the hose and power cord is a pain in the butt
Don't know if I missed it but you didn't use the soap dispenser but you did use the foam cannon. If you use the soap dispenser you don't need the foam cannon The kind of do the same thing.
Thanks for a great review. I'm looking fir a unit that I can use on my patio blocks and pool coping. Is this strong enough to get mold and other stains off concrete?
@@aaronstestlab thanks for answering my questions and the review of them pressure washers. I ordered the foam cannon and quick connected thru the links you provided.
Thank you for the excellent and concise review. Can you please post the link to the quick disconnect on Amazon? I can't find it on this thread. Thank you.
Sun Joe SPX 3200- was less than $150 shipped and its more compact/portable. It also has 2030PSI vs GW’s $179 unit with less PSI. I did buy GW’s Surface Cleaner to be used with my SJ PW and it works better than the one SJ makes. Lol.
We probably got a lemon. sounds like everyone else has success with their units. We have been going back and forth with the manufacturer over th washer cutting off after about 10 minutes of use. They are asking for videos of our problem but as yet have not moved in to replace our washer after doing everything they suggested. Hope things work better for you all.
Hello, sorry, could you help me, please, I'm from Mexico. I have the same pressure washer, but I had a problem with it when turning it on. The machine stopped performing the automatic stop and now continues working. I tried to find out if it was a fault in the valve, but the spring came out. tripped and now I don't know what the correct order is to assemble the pressure valve. Could you please help me with a photograph of what it looks like on your machine? greetings from Mexico
Hi I think we left the switch on . So before I turned the water line, the pump started. Now I am not getting water at all. What could be the issue? I searched couple of videos it shows unloader valve. I am not able find one on this model.
Thank you for a very useful instruction video. I especially appreciate that you get to the point, and use a real camera (not your cell phone). The links are a great help.
how many quick connects do i need if i want to make sure that all hoses, gun, garden hose, etc all have a quick connect on? and what size are they as i thought they were 1/4 inch
Quick question say for instance I don't want to use the water hose from the house and I want to use a water tank and water pump mounted on my truck is this recommended for this type of pressure washer is it okay to go that route? If so do you have a recommendation for the water pump
How were your fingers not hurt by the pressure?? I have a pressure washer with the exact same specs although it’s much quieter, it’s a Royobi 2000PSI at 1.2GPM and I accidentally cut myself when my hand was to close. I was using a 40 degree nozzle.
The placement of the water inlet & outlet are indeed not user friendly. But apparently this only complaint does not compromise its being the best band for the buck. Like the look & performance of the beefy 2700 but this 2006 is enough for my need. Why you use another foaming gun instead of the one on the unit?
Good video and good idea about Lowe's price matching themselves, But my 3000p psi unit was the same price online as in the store, darn it. My new 14-Amp Greenworks 3000 psi pressure washer has a 2-prong power cord, is there any reason why I can't plug it into a 3-prong 12 Amp extension cord that is 10 ft long?.
looks cool but seems to have a needlessly big footprint, does the front soap container need to be way out that far, guess they were going for stability.
The weak spot on this washer is where the garden hose hooks up to the pump (water in). You do not want to move this around with the garden hose hooked up or you will be replacing the orifice. Other than that I find it to be a good machine. Make sure your garden hose is big enough to supply enough water. The inside diameter of your supply hose should be bigger than the orifice. 5/8"
Anyone know if this model (gpw2006) is the same as the gpw2003, which is on Amazon? Was gpw2006 just a model # used for units sold through lowes for basically the same unit?
The way I clean vinyl siding is with a solution of bleach and water. I use 50% weather and bleach and douse the siding down. The green algea starts melting instantly. I then wait 30 minutes and since with just standard water hose. But please get the pressure washer anyway. Your automobile will thank you for it. I have had my vehicle since 1996. At 421,000 miles, she still gleams like new! This is in part to do with my pressure washer.
I bought this washer today. I'm completely satisfied. Feels solid, performs great, standard fittings, hose doesn't easily kink, PWMA certified and it isn't very loud. The only minor complaint I have is where the top handle clips into the bottom part of the handle. That joint is a little shaky. It was 250 for me. I bought it from lowes. I also bought quick disconnects and a 50 foot hose.
I know exactly what you mean with regards to the handle attachment, but thought it was so minor that it wasn't even worth a mention in the video. Hopefully you bought the quick disconnects on Amazon. I noticed they were about 3x the price at Lowes. Same story with extra/replacement tips.
I bought mine at the local lowes in Bartlett Tennessee. I've used it about 4 times, and last nite I pulled it out, and I think it did something to the unit gfi. When I tried to start it back up, nothing... i have a green power light and water pressure, but no pump. I changed recepts, gfi tests and resets but still nothing. Any ideas?
This is fantastic video information. I just stumbled upon and I subscribed immediately. Please I want to buy two electric pressure washer for my carwash business for commercial use. Which capacity of the psi will you recommend. I'll appreciate your quick response. Thanks.
In your defense, I did the EXACT same thing with my hand in the 15/25 degree nozzles, and with the turbo nozzle...same results as well. That turbo nozzle stung just a weeee bit lol! I too tried it twice LMAO!!! I'm using the Kawasaki Ninja 2000 from Menards. I use a 3500psi Hotsy on the semi's, one doesn't dare put your fingers in front of that, you'll lose some digits. It's got serious snort. I think they delivered the 5k psi unit I was dealing on, as it keeps destroying my 3k psi hoses. Anyhoo, I use a foamer with the Hotsy on the trucks. I did try the lil soap dispenser and black nozzle on the car today for the first time. It works pretty good and as designed. It actually foamed up really well. That foam gun though, as you stated, that's a good time :) Fun video to watch!
I have one of these several years old. Now it cuts on and off with the 25 degree tip, but works fine with the 40 degree tip. Does anyone know what could be wrong?
Excellent review thank you very much I think you just made my decision for me after reviewing several similar electric pressure washers I'm headed to Lowe's :-) Thanks again
There are really high quality plastics out there, I wish he did not mention it as often in this review for most likely the unit itself will go bad long before the plastics break, even if you were to leave it outside to deteriorate.
I would think it comes down to how often you plan on using it. I'm sure the 1700psi unit would work fine for washing cars. But having to hand carry it and all it's accessories around would get annoying. Furthermore, I really like braided hose on the 2000psi unit. Not sure what the cheaper one comes with.
@@aaronstestlab so I bought the 1700 yesterday and returned it to Lowe's (where I work) and got the 2000. Agree on hand carrying it and it being annoying with accessories too. Also the hose is miles better in the 2000.
This is quite a good little pressure washer. I've had mine for a week. So far I've washed 3 vehicles, 1 a lifted ram, stripped off our deck for staining, pressure washed a sidewalk that had years of crud built up and pressure washed our storage building. All items cleaned very well and not one issue with the washer. If you have plenty hose to supply it and an extra long extension cord you can't go wrong with this little machine.
Hey Aaron, I picked up the GPW2006 yesterday and took advantage of the ebay coupon (thanks Charlie!) I'm also looking at the shorty gun/foam cannon you use. It's rated for 2.0GPM and above. Have you had any problems using with the lower GPM of the Greenworks pressure washer? Thanks!
I have not had any problems. However, the caveat to that statement is that I've never used a foam cannon on a higher-powered gas unit to compare. In other works, it might work perfect or it might work just ok and I don't know any better, lol.
Michael if your using the foam cannon to wash your car change the orifice in the foam cannon to a 1.1 and put the water in the bottle before the soap and you should get shaving cream foam!
This is an awesome video! I followed the recommendations and I am glad that I invested in a Greenworks 2000PSI pressure washer. I own a 9,605 square feet property...I was able to save time and water when cleaning.
Great review! My concern would be where the inlet hose connects. It looks like it's sticking out enough where it could possibly get bent by accident or by it getting pulled on.

So based on your experience would you recommend it for all around uses such as mobile detailing, sidewalks and driveways, as well as for houses?
@@dwightd9939 I would as it worked quite well around my house.
@@corporal2011 cool thanks
Hey Aaron,
I picked up the GPW2006 yesterday and took advantage of the ebay coupon (thanks Charlie!) I'm also looking at the shorty gun/foam cannon you use. It's rated for 2.0GPM
and above.
@@akaredcrossbow Thank you!
This is an awesome video! I followed the recommendations and I am glad that I invested in a Greenworks 2000PSI pressure washer. I own a 9,605 square feet property...I was able to save time and water when cleaning.
Awesome. Glad it helped.
Great review! My concern would be where the inlet hose connects. It looks like it's sticking out enough where it could possibly get bent by accident or by it getting pulled on.
That was a concern of mine as well. But so far, so good.
Why wouldn't you pull instead of push the unit?
What about using it on car?
