Don't want to lool at my desktop, I'd just like a linux that works reliably right after installing, simple to fix if I do some stupid stuff, don't have to reinstall all apps into it after reinstalling, don't have to open all the time to do something. Closest thing was Lubuntu 24.10 (have to try Steam yet) My latest issues were installers breaking after failed app install (snap, flat, apt), tons of audio issues with pipewire and pulsaudio (worst ones with BT), app managers not reliably installing (for example I had steam 3 times installed at differnt folders), and not recognizing already installed SW. BTW I'd love to switch to linux, spent 2 months not long ago searching for distro, if someone has a recommendation.
I use Linux for using my favourite programs in a stable environment. Not for a fancy desktop.
