    That was a pleasant surprise when you flew right over Dulles! I worked at that airport for about two-and-a-half years

    This is a great flight! BUT! Do not miss my special video from yesterday where we flew from DFW to ORD on the final American Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-80 flight! Link: ruclips.net/video/StvSuUuis24/видео.html For those of you who are new to the channel, and there have been a lot over the last 24 hours. It's worth mentioning that I'm currently in the process of publishing all of the footage I filmed in 1080 60fps before I switched to 4K. So, if you're wondering why some of my videos are published in 4K and some are in 1080 60fps that is why. Eventually everything will be uploaded in 4K, but we're in the transitional stage right now. Thanks everyone! Enjoy!

    20:30 pretty cool to see the fog and very low stratus clouds creeping into view way down below.

    Do you travel alot for buisness? Or are all these videos you just flying for the fun of it XD. If so, I greatly enjoy it! Keep it up!!!!

    • @sla31
      @sla31  3 года назад +1

      Well, that's a pointed question haha. Because I do everything on this channel on my free time, with my own money. I don't travel for work, I don't fly for free (work for the airlines), etc. That said, this channel has basically turned into a second full time job, that I lose money at. So, do I do it for pleasure or business. Well, I do enjoy it, and I have fun doing it, but it is kind of "business" now. Given what this channel has turned into. If that answers your question haha.

    The pushback left him in the wrong direction :) That's fun!

    • @sla31
      @sla31  5 лет назад +1

      At the hubs, it's the airline ramp controllers that decide which direction, and where a plane is dropped. So, they must've done that for a reason. Maybe to let another plane in or out. Thanks for watching my friend!

    I didn’t know American used flaps 40 on landing. Makes sense with the short field at DCA

    • @sla31
      @sla31  5 лет назад

      Yeah, and I've seen them use this flap configuration at DFW and other places too. Thanks for watching my friend!

    This plan looks too small from in side

    Departed on 9R, a really short runway midfield.

      @sla31  5 лет назад

      Thanks for that. Although, I can save you the time for the future. I list all the important times, including takeoff and landing times, in the video description for every full flight video. Thanks for watching my friend!

    What was the significance of this; you failed to say. Is this the same as a Max 8 737?

    • @MileHigh_Aviation
      @MileHigh_Aviation 5 лет назад

      BR549 no it is not, there are many different features and the body/ winglets are different as well

    • @sla31
      @sla31  5 лет назад +2

      Are you asking what the significance of this flight is? Or this plane? I'm not quite sure. Either way there isn't anything particularly signifiant about either. This was just a typical flight from ORD-DCA. As much as I would like all of my videos to be as important as my final MD-80 flight video, most of the time they are just typical flights for aviation enthusiasts to enjoy. This one does have some great views though! Thanks for watching!

      My friend. You might be surprised who cares about you. Who appreciates what you do. 33 years as a flight attendant is no small accomplishment... Think of the thousands upon thousands of people you helped get safely to weddings, graduations, funerals, vacations, interview, etc. the list could go on for days. There is probably no end to the amount of people who were thankful that you showed up to help get them to an important event in there life. You may not have known this but you came to my channel, and commented on my video.... My channel, where I committed from the very beginning, to care about every single viewer. To read and reply to every single comment, no matter how long it takes. So, since you commented, I care. My friend, I guarantee there are people who care about you. If you want to talk to someone then go to my channel homepage, click the about tab, and you can get my email address there. Message me anytime... or comment on any of my videos. I truly do read and reply to every single one. Don’t lose hope my friend. For someone, the world would lose meaning without you in it. Stay strong my friend!
