I absolutely love how how accessible the bookmarks and the tags are. Makes the app wayyy easier to navigate and also forces me to be organised. As we're creating a second brain, organisation is VERY important. I'd love to use this app to record lectures while writing notes for medschool (NUS YLL). The recording feature works wonders, making me recall information from the deepest parts of my brain. Edit: Creating layers is a very innovative feature as well, and can be used for active recalling.
The 2 features that I like best compared to some other note taking apps are having layers and tags. Having layers makes your notes more flexible and tags improves organising your notes. Excellent app 😊
I just switched over to noteful after watching one of your previous videos. I've tried so many, and the switch was worth it!! It has everything I need for work and grad school. Thank you!!
Best part about noteful is its ability to create layers. You can trace over complex diagrams on a different layer, delete the original figure on the layer underneath and and voila- you have your own version of that diagram. No other note taking app on iPadOS does this, and only one I know of on android is Lecture notes. Plus, you can use dotted and dashed lines in noteful-Goodnotes does not even offer this.
I really love the fact that it's so easy to adjust a line after you create it. It makes messing up and fixing it way easier! I also think it's great that I can create boxes with color in them without actually having to scribble the color into it like another note taking app I've used. I think out of everything, though, the audio recording feature is the coolest.
Thanks for the tutorial. The most important feature of this program is the ability to save notes from other programs and personalization. I took notes in Farsi (from right to left) and I had no problem typing. Another important feature is editing pages. For someone whose notes are updated, a topic may be added, switching pages is really important. It is easy to use even for someone who has just started taking digital notes
I love your accurate and detailed explanations about the different features of note-taking apps. The videos which compare these note-taking apps are also beneficial for one who wants to buy one. I love the user interface of Noteful. Also, the flexibility of this app helps me make my own layout of the different tools, which is great.
I love layers and exporting straight to Evernote - which CAN search handwriting inside the PDF and is cross platform. And I’ve been using Evernote for about 10 years or so and it’s where all my info is. And I love the quality of your voice on these videos Ropsie, the pace, the softness, the clarity with which you go through the apps makes it a pleasure. It calms me down so I can focus. I watch them when I take a break in between stressful tasks! Thanks!
One of my favorite things about noteful, it's the intuitive settings bar, and the facility to move it, and another nice thing is that you can cross all the clouds to save your sheets on Drive or ICloud.
I like the minimalist interface and the ability to change paper color without needing to import a new PDF/Template (Looking at you GoodNotes!). These videos are super helpful and provide the type of detailed information that many digital note takers need to know.
Thank you for this in-depth showcase of Noteful’s features. The recent update of Notability has me looking for new options and this video was very helpful! I’m definitely going to give Noteful a try. Thank you.
While I like having many features, I end up not using most of them. Noteful has got the fundamentals just right and it looks really good, which is what I care about the most
Noteful is realy good. The only thing I miss is better typing experience. Bullet points etc. But I love structure of notes, zoom tool and oh my god outlines!!! And handwriting is very neat.
I enjoy the versatility of the tagging system. It allows for precise categorization of notes and connecting ideas from different documents. This way if I have a note from my 1 semester about renal failure, I can connect it with notes from another semester when we go over dosage adjustments for certain drugs in renal failure or about dialysis
Other than the amazing features others have mentioned, I love how the how minimal the interface can be. The ability to hide the status bar and move the top bar to the bottom really improve the experience and increase my focus. Thank you for the tips and the give away 😇
Hey, i have been using this free version of noteful and i love the minimalist interface, also for some reason my handwriting looks much better in noteful + the audio recording really helps......and the best part is that you get almost all the features for much cheaper 👍
I have already purchased Noteful and at the rate you guys are improving soon you will become No.1 in digital note taking sector , if i got selected for giveaway i will give noteful app to my sister who has recently purchased a new i pad and using my apple id to do her work 😅
My favorite feature is the price! Oh, okay. So a real feature. I love the idea of layers. I love being able to fill shapes (are you listening Noteshelf?)
I just started using Noteful. As I get old the zoom is great. I also like the layering. I am getting closer to finishing my PhD and annotating articles and documents is how noteful will be helpful for me.
Like that you can have notebooks with different page templates in lots of colors. This would be helpful having different books set up etc for different branches of my family tree research notebooks. I’m going to have to look into Noteful. Thx love your videos.
Love the Video! Keep up the good Work And I love the Voice recording feature ,this way I can have an notability like app for less money But for me the layers feature takes the win in the best features
Hi I like the feature of adding items to your notes because as a student I really feels how helpful it is for me and also organisation is also good thank you for such a great informative video 🙂
Layers are a game changer in note taking apps so well done to the team. I'm finding mving from one oage to another a bit of a hassle and adding pages too. I just want to seipe down and add a page or go to the next page but it seems like ot doesn't allow that.
Thank you for the very detailed review - it helped me choose Noteful over some others, as I transition away from Goodnotes and Notability. I have very few complaints about Noteful, and I really like how it blends the best features of GN and Notability. But, as you mentioned, palm rejection is not as good as the other apps. It’s not a deal-breaker for me, but it is a little annoying at times. It has been a while since you posted this video, have you found any way to improve the palm rejection? Thanks!
The zoom tool helps with palm rejection and also putting the page into full width to fit the page. Those two seem to help reduce that palm rejection issue.
We have a free course for Noteful. This episode covers outlines: #20 Noteful: Table of Contents | Beginner's course ruclips.net/video/CvcADmflltA/видео.html
Like many features; do not find GoodNotes handwriting search to be a make or break as my handwriting is not ideal and not readily convertible in any event
I like the simplicity Noteful offers. The highlighter tool is good because it goes behind the notes. Tags are a great alternative to have for note-taking. As a theoretical physicist who does research and note-taking for a living, this is a great app which I would like to add to my collection.
Are the built-in dot paper templates symmetrical? In a sense of edges or how to explain. I just want to bullet-journal digitally with the possibility of changing the background colour but I need symmetrical dots for drawing borders. Which I know Goodnotes doesn’t have.
I am a hardcore OneNote user, but it does not allow me to annotate pdfs in a way that preserves the pdf as a pdf. To be clear, I can print a pdf to OneNote and annotate freely. I can also set the pdf as background so that the annotations do not get displaced. The problem, and it is a huge one for me, is that you cannot then print out or access the annotated document as a pdf in a decent form. That is because OneNote pays no attention to pagination, but is built for infinite length. An advantage with free form notes, this characteristic is a real detriment for pdf annotation (at least for me.) That is where Noteful comes in. It is a fabulous tool for me to annotate my pdfs. One of the most powerful features it has for me is its tag feature. It is extremely flexible and can have nested tags. So, I am an trial attorney. As I read a document, I can set up a tag for each defendant and then "sub-tags" under each tag for issues that are particular to each defendant. It is fabulous. I now annotate my pdfs on Noteful and then, if I just want to have them in OneNote, I print the annotated edition to OneNote. However, the powerful tag feature in Noteful actually makes me stay in that program so that I can sort my documents and annotations by those tags when I prepare for trials or depositions. Thanks for introducing me to this fantastic program. It is far from perfect. Other programs are excellent and features get added continuously that makes the choice of what tool to use an ever-changing one. (I think Drawboard is also fabulous and it has the advantage over Noteful of being a Windows and an iOS app. Nebo, the other app that works across platforms, is not as usable for me, although it is very good.) At this point, however, Noteful is absolutely my favorite. . I purchased the app and subscribe to this channel.
Welcome to le family! Noteful is amazing, we swear by it. But I love how you know which apps you need for different aspects of your workflow. Curious to know if you’ve found layers useful in Noteful.
Oh, and also, is there a pencil tool? I’m a bullet-journaler and love doodling. Which app would you recommend better for that? Notability or Noteful? Thank you. 😊
great app, I love the Layer feature so useful , and I like the whole clean design 🤍. I would love to see them adding the ability to edit a pdf without having to import the file to the app , like Documents app by Readdle "b/c I use icloud Drive for all of my files , it's better to edit the pdf in app without importing it to the app , faster in syncing and easier in use"

I love Noteful for making sermon outlines. I really like how highlighter goes behind notes. Would love to buy the full version.
Have you tried Onenote? I could not make my sermon and teaching outlines without the insert space feature of Onenote.
