A consistent thing with most shows is the search after the detector alarms is conducted as if the is absolutely only one piece of gold. Maybe that is just the way the shows are edited?
If you were not unarmed you would not have “creepers” like that pushing things.. no need to use or even display it just the idea you might be armed would stop that kind of behavior.
