Absolutely loving these lessons adam. When we press the thumbs to midbrow in the end position of the elephant are we pressing or activating nadi points at the mid brow?? 🙏
Good to hear from you and thank-you for your words of encouragement. Yes this is correct. Here we bring attention to the Marma located at this point. Also the mudra created through the arms affects the flow of the vayus.
@kalariLAB: Is there any reason why the cat and the elephant are done only on one side. Can it also be done on the other side by simply mirroring the actions?
Hi Gayathri - Thanks for your question - The elephant is a symmetrical posture - did you mean the cat and something else? The cat is done on this side only, as positioning the body in this way activates the feminine nadi. Hope that helps :) Adam
Namaskaram Adam, quick question for you. For the new squat down move in the Lohars, you mentioned we need to lift the heel when we go down and come up. Wouldn’t it be better to keep the heel planted on the ground when squatting down and up? Please advise if both variations are fine or the heel “must” come off the ground when squatting down. Thanks again.
Kevin! Good morning - thanks for your question - good one! SO yes, if you keep the heels down it is going to more like a classic indian-squat. Lifting the heels however allows you to use the explosive power of the achilles tendon as part of the superficial back line (myofascia); this allows you to spring back and this, is the power you will use to destabilise your opponent. Hope that helps! Adam

Im slightly confused. Do we only ever swing and turn with the right leg and never the left? and even in the elephant, going only towards the right while raising the hands up + the sitting posture as well - only the right leg is to be sat on?
