The fight that started at 7:00 just shows in what a spot bard is right now. The barb was definitly geared so even without all the nerfs a bard would have struggled but you played that almost perfectly and it still wasnt enough to kill the guy. Playing a whole orchestra for minutes just to make a tiny difference in a fight drives me crazy. That they just keep nerfing bard is also something i really cant understand. But you defnitly made the best of it and produced a great video.
Yeah I think it goes both ways though, bard is weak in some aspects of solo play but it does have a ton of agency over the fights you want to take/the fights you dont want to take since they have a lot of movespeed + ranged capabilities. But if you ever get caught in a corner or in a hallway with closed doors or run into someone faster than you then you are probably out of luck so I definitely dont disagree! 😄
Opening with lament is usually the best play first, makes it way easier to land debuffs or shrill after that, also allows you to space just that much more cause as long as your at like 105% ms you can out kite most classes, apart from like max ms rouge/slayer, while they are under your debuff
You can also skip 2 notes on harm shield and shrill, gotta have all perfect notes and you can skip 2 or if you miss a perfect note for a good note you can skip one note 9:04 would have one that with that one extra shrill good fight
@@peytonono4922 Also yeah that fight was soooo close, there were definitely a few things I couldve done differently but just ended up getting impatient, using the crossbow once more, one extra shrill, I even couldve just all inned him and hit one more rapier swing instead of trying to bait out his felling axe swing but I ended up getting my revenge anyways so it wasnt too bad!
Great video! Might want to consider putting some kind of visual indicator when you're fast forwarding, maybe a fast forward logo in the corner or something

You can skip 2 notes for shrill and harmonic shield as long as you hit the yellow parts of the notes if it flashes white you missed one and can’t skip 2 notes
This is good to know, I just went back and looked at the video and I see the yellow/white flashes youre talking about so this is new to me and I bet there are a ton of people that dont know about this haha! 😂
it's becaue he missed too many notes if your last not is not a perfect and you already messed up twice it's not playing because you made too many mistakes
@@ChadowT98 I think Chadow is probably right here but it is still a bit annoying/unclear because whenever it happens this way there is no indicator that you messed up any of the notes in the middle, you just kind of have to assume that one of them wasnt exactly perfect.
Although I will say that sometimes Im just standing still not in a fight or anything staring at the song bar to make sure I dont miss any notes while trying to do a double charismatic harmonic shield and it will still fail which definitely confuses me sometimes.
Good video and good skill mate, the mistake of the barbarian is not playing achilles strikes in solo and with heavy armor, if he play the achilles strike there u are 100% ded
Appreciate it Boss! 👍 If youre talking about the really geared barbarian Im pretty sure he was using it the first time I fought him you can see he has it active at like 7:45 but then he throws a francisca axe which I dodged so it got wasted, he couldve probs used it when he very first hit for half my hp though and yeah I mightve been cooked. Although, I think youre right about the 2nd time I fought him it actually looks like hes using Reckless attack or whatever its called that makes his hands glow like orange which can be seen at 19:18 instead of achilles strike unless he dropped savage roar for it, but the 2nd time I fought him he didnt even get to hit me so idk if achilles wouldve been the difference maker haha! He was definitely too heavy for solos though thats for sure, turned himself into a walking loot pinata for my build!
Warlock is quite good rn, he didn’t play it awful you just had the best possible opening to the fight with that crossbow shot and he didn’t drop a single hydra or spell you once after lmao
I definitely agree, they are certainly one of the stronger solo classes but they do take a bit of skill/knowledge on how to gear properly otherwise they can end up feeling very weak compared to other classes that can stat check/hold w and melee, as for the warlock in the video I agree after that opener he was kind of cooked and I dont think he had much opportuninty to cast any spells since hydra has a pretty long cast time and I was on his heels the whole time haha
Potentially but I honestly think there are a lot of people who probably dont even know what shrill is or what it sounds like when its being played since its such an underused song
Prior to the patch that nerfed all of the stats on gear, I just did some math and its coming out to somewhere in the region of like 40-50 damage if I play the song perfectly. Granted Im not positive if Physical power bonus or persuasiveness scales the damage or not and if it does it was probably doing a little more.
I cant tell if youre trying to say my budget kit was more or less expensive in your opinion but I looked up and lined out the prices of both of the kits before I gave those estimates so it was pretty accurate at the time of recording, but if youre looking at the market now it definitely wont be the same because of the patch they dropped that got rid of +2 all attributes all together and lowered the quality of the random modifier rolls you can get on gear.
