Matthew Terry’s smug facial expressions in court while hearing his ex testify how he brutally attacked her… has truly enraged me. He is one evil pos
Binge watching your channel , this is better than anything on NETFLIX. Very well made and very addictive , the narration and editing is so well done .
Imagine how homie in the bar feels knowing that his innocent lil passing dance would be the cause of her murder.
I thought about that as well, but it was totally innocent and he couldn't have possibly known what would happen. People do stuff like that all of the time.
I really think that monster would have murdered Kay that night even without that incident. I watched the trial in that case, and he'd been angry with her and fighting with her even before that. He was insanely possessive and violent. His first girlfriend was lucky to have survived. His lawyers made me sick arguing that there was another perpetrator. The female attorney seemed like she actually believed he was innocent. He spent the entire trial whispering in her ear with his mouth covered like someone might read his lips. When his ex girlfriend testified, he looked like he wished he would have succeeded in killing her. I'm glad he's locked up for life, but Kay had two young sons who now have to grow up without a mother. 😢
I was thinking the exact same thing!
@@zxy78267I think some female attorneys are attracted to bad boys, and have a habit of believing their creepy clients
It's not his fault. It was so innocent, like a normal person, he probably didn't even remember it
My daughter was murdered from someone just like this .. after they got home from a bar. He too was a jealous psychopath jealous controlling drunk. Sad that these people exist. He gets out in 2033 the same month of her death. She was 25. I miss her everyday.
NEVER make a relationship “ work “ for your child if the relationship is broken it’s broken and your child deserves better !!
I don’t understand your comment.
Do you mean…if a child’s parents are unhappy together.
What is it?…that the child deserves?
For the mom to have a boyfriend that makes her happy? Or…
For the dad to have a woman that makes him happy?
@@Detroitraised for the child not to have childish and moronic parents that make their child miserable for no reason buy staying together when they could grow up and move on
Great advice, it’s so true.

@@AussieCrimeCases exactly I completely agree as a child of divorce myself I can honestly say I was happy when my parents finally called it quits I love them both but they were fire and gasoline
"I love you, why are you doing this?" always gets me... 😔
Michelle is a freaking HERO btw.
R.I.P. Kay 🕊️
How some of these defense attorneys, with their despicable methods, can sleep at night is a mystery to me.
Until YOU need one, of course.
I mean, it's their job. Their job is to make sure their client doesn't get convicted or gets a lighter sentence.
It would defeat the purpose of what they do if they just help send them to prison.
A defence lawyer's job isn't to make sure you don't go to jail, it's to make sure the correct legal process is followed and provide alternative theories / introduce reasonable doubt. There's a line between ensuring your client is treated correctly and highlighting alternative theories to the evidence, and coming up with pure malicious lies about victims to try and make your client look "innocent". Some of them are grim and clearly have no morals.
The bird beak knife in my kitchen is sharper and scarier than any other knife I own. That smug lawyer acting like it's just a little itty-bitty blade is infuriating. I'll juggle my steak knives before I'll even pick up that bird beak knife.
You can even do damage with an IKEA pencil if you are a freaking psycho. Those little itty bitty pencils that give you in the entrance. I've never heard a lawyer say
"little itty bitty" in a courtroom.
I mean realistically its probably the sharpest cause you dont use it
1:05:55 1:05:55
Right??!!!! Even a new tiny paring knife, without a dangerous hook on it, is razor sharp!!
If a lady can show how bad he treated her, and she had so much evidence, please don’t trust that person. You can’t change him, you won’t be different than the ladies before you. Be strong and think. Just be very careful.
Watch how he treats his mother and sisters. With few exceptions he will treat you similarly to how he treas them.
literally. I'm not victim-blaming but it's weird she just brushed off him literally STABBING another woman. and it's even wilder he only went to prison for 3 years.....
Chicks are dumb af is why. Or maybe they are smart but just like being abused, can't really say but I'm leaning towards dumb af.
I just recently started dating again after being married for 25 years and I swear every single chick I have been with has either been emotionally or physically abused, or both, and then they get right back with another abusive dude and want to cry to me about it. It's the very definition of insane, but whatever, folks are free to suffer their own imposed destinies.
I never want another wife anyways, and you can just fk any chick you want with a nice suit, vehicle and enough money to act financially stable for a night. If you own a decent home they will be ready to move in with their kids within a week. No jokes, real life, that's why I think they're kinda dumb or maybe just not very discerning. They don't even need to really know you and they will be ready to clean up a crime scene in no time. Looks don't matter much and education doesn't matter at all. My late wife was gorgeous AND smart, a past cheerleader with a masters degree, and I am a total slob and a dolt. My wife often said I looked 'homeless'. That's why you see these actual creepshow looking mf'ers being serial abusers and even serial killers of women, no discernment.
I can’t believe the 1st case outcome was based on that man’s character and not the amount of injuries caused by his violence. What a sham the justice system is in this case.
@@carolball5764I agree 💯. His attack on her was extremely violent, and he clearly intended to kill her. The sentence he served was a joke. At his trial, his female attorney did the cross on his first girlfriend and brought up how long they'd been bar-hopping that afternoon and accused the girlfriend of picking up her baby and driving home drunk with him. Excuse me, but that had nothing to do with her psycho client trying to stab her to death. His attorney was really strange, and she seemed to have an unhealthy attachment to him. I think she really believed some unknown perpetrator came in there and attacked them.
The fact that anyone could believe a grown man who savagely beat, bit and stabbed a woman he was in a relationship with only served 3yrs in prison is ridiculous & disgusting enough. But the fact that so many people could see the wounds on Michelle’s face and body and still have the gall to stand up for this animal is despicable.
Absolutely! And they could have saved the next victim!
Including Kay smh 🤦🏽♀️ how do you stand up for a man doing suck horrible things to another woman and not only that , but you date him after he gets out of jail . Ugh , she definitely chose to ignore many red flags
I agree i would never defend anyone abusing someone no way even if it was my own son i couldnt i would disowen them after reporting to police
it was very weird the black lady cop said she had zero marks on her but the photos tell a different story
@@Priceless789 exactly
If they had listened to Michelle the first time he attacked , Kay would still be alive . I can’t believe so many people came to his defense. When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time. Sad case, smh.
Kay went to court to be a character reference for him! She knew all about it, helped him and went on to have a relationship with him 🙄
"When I voted for the Jaguars Who Bite People Party, I didn't expect them to bite me!"
Did you watch this case until the end? Did you see that Kay testified in Matthew's defense in court? Even Michelle showing her the injuries he caused when he stabbed her. Kay didn't care about Michelle. Kay helped Matthew to get a minor sentence. Honestly, I don't feel bad for Kay.
Kay testified at his trial for attacking Michelle and Michelle testified at his trial for attacking (and killing) Kay. That is very sad. I never want to blame the victim but Kay had all the information she needed and I really wish she would’ve realized that if he could attack the mother of his child that way that he would certainly do it to her too.
@@mmy5992I feel bad for her because she’s deceased. She made an error in judgement that cost her life. It’s sad because I assume if she really thought he was capable of that she never would have helped him in the first place or chosen to reunite with him. I realize she had all the info to make a better decision and her choosing not to proves that it was a mistake. She was testifying for him as a friend and that’s what most friends would do. She obviously shouldn’t have but again it was a very bad error in judgment. We don’t know the story he told her. Whatever it was and judging by the fact that she already knew him and dated him previously probably helped convince her that he was worth it. Very sad.
Love the detective in the Lisa Straub story. He slowed everything down by writing it down. He wasn’t going to be lied to or made a fool of.
The way Matthew was looking at Michelle during her testimony is just infuriating
You could see he was saying I wish I offed her too!😮 evil man
He was enjoying hearing her relive it and wasn’t at all ashamed of his cowardly, pathetic actions. He is proud of himself. What a waste of skin.
Yes indeed. @@nikkikidd8428
He's so smug.
@nikkikidd8428 Amen. He was feeding off of her fear and savoring every moment of her retelling what he did to her.

@@Trendyviews. omfg yes I am. it's unreal what they are doing to that man.. I can't believe it, all the lies they told just to get a warrant to search and arrest the wrong guy they new damn well he was not the murderer it's scary what law enforcement agencies are capable of
A good dad doesn’t mean a good husband, or a not abusive husband.
Sounds like typical Disneyland dad
What a brave, beautiful woman that witness was! Much respect from me 💗
Jayden’s impact statement was so heartbreaking. 💔🥺 Even the lawyer broke down. That is so sad and I hope she finds the healing that she needs.
Agreed. That evil pos got away with murder. It’s soo clear
Naw it was stupid like that emoji you used
He was definitely brainwashed by the grandparents or family of their father's side. If that woman was a vicious killer she wouldn't have stabbed him only once.
And that guy it was like he was grooming her. What kind of step dad would take for a wife his step daughter? He met her mother when Danielle was 14. He probably like her since that time.
Oh boy, now I’ve got my evening planned after getting back with the kids from trick or treating! Thank you!
Oh yeah nothing better than a marathon! Thanks BE crew, you've only gotten better since The Fear Files days!
Ma'am can you tell us what shoelaces the victim has on? Are they tied? Can you tell if the victim is wearing product in their hair? Is it gel or mousse? Does their middle name rhyme with ramalamadingdong? Do you know if they like snickerdoodles? Approx how long are their fingernails? Does she have stripes on her shirt? Are they vertical or horizontal? Can she sing ew ee ew ah ah ting tang walla walla bing bang?
I swear was thinking the same thing listening to this interrogation on the Lisa Straub story. I'm thinking "I couldn't possibly remember how many times the phone rang before he answered?"

What kind of goofy questions are these? Not funny. 😢
@@kitty2u I'm not here to please you Karen. Your triggers are your responsibility
These are so well edited. Thank you so much for your time & work. ❤️
The first story isn’t about justice, it’s about having a good, manipulative lawyer.
With the assistance of deluded friends..I thought hear-say wasn’t allowed? Fact and evidence flew out the window in this case it seems, along with justice..
There is no such thing as justice. Anyone rarely gets satisfaction about their idea of what justice entailes. As for lawyers and justice that doesn't even exist. If it's you you're upset or ecstatic when you win or lose your case in court..if you sit on the other side of the table you're going to be upset or relatively happy with the outcome. And no matter what they have done it's a lawyer's job to achieve the best possible outcome for their client that has been the case for approximately 1.5 million years now. Yes, that's how far they go back in history.
(Guess when they found that site the client wasn't too happy about their outcome either. That's a joke 😂 they found legal materials regarding a legal matter, and that is the truth)
Another thing you have to keep in mind is that every story is told from the speakers point of view, and that always influences the program, video whatever your listening or reading about and therefore you become biased leaning on the side of those that tell the story. People tend to forget that.
@natashyamensing7168 my buddy is an attorney and said if no one leaves the courtroom completely happy, the lawyers have done their jobs!
@@Ainaes-FelineExactly. Our perception is our reality.
Please interview ALL of Matthew's Friends who stood by him and believed he wasn't EVIL.
He isn’t evil. He’s a sicko that never should breathe free air again.
What purpose is achieved by interviewing all those people? The victim didn’t think he was “evil” either. (Whatever “evil” means.)
The victim was clearly warned by the first victim. Unless you want to make the victim responsible as well, that isn’t a very smart plan. And you need to interview the entire first jury, which is also not a great plan.
He is evil.
@@ailleananaithnid2566"Evil" and "mental illness" can exist in the same person.
The military service fooled them.
You need someone to describe what evil means? He isn't mentally ill, he is evil
So this man attempted and almost succeeded at killing a woman before and he was out of jail . What a shame. And Kate , smh 🤦🏽♀️ why would stand up for someone accused of doing such a horrible thing , terrible
I feel like internalized misogyny plays a huge part. I'm so happy Michelle felt compelled to defend Kay even after she sat and testified against Michelle during her case. truly mind numbing.
This is amazing, thank you! You are genuinely one of my favourite narrators as your voice is so calming to fall asleep to. I'll be using this to sleep tonight 100%! ❤
Isn’t it the same guy who narrates for EWU?
@@cutlass2523 no, different people :) but both great narrators
Lmao I love how so many people do the same thing I do. Fall asleep to murder stories😂
Wow. You get involved with someone that beats up his ex, even after she shows you pictures. I will never understand how someone low self-esteem women thinking. What makes you think you can change an abuser .
The Pike county murders is one of the saddest so many innocent lives. Imagine that poor baby realizing how evil their fathers side of the family is! So insane the infant was trying to suckle 😢
The case with the victim named Denise is haunting! She did everything she possibly could have done to get help. And people did try to help. I cannot imagine how horrible it must be for her loved ones to know that so many opportunities for her rescue went unheeded. It would be absolutely horrific to lose someone to that kind of violence, but to know that she was able to call 911, and a witness also called 911, and nothing was done would make her loss even more unbearable. The 911 operator was a complete imbecile. Not taking a call about a possible kidnapping seriously is egregious! Ugh! Sorry, I'm on a rant. But I keep thinking about my young adult children and my grandson and knowing what I would have to go through if something like that happened to one of my daughters is horrible. There was a complete failure on every level. The fact that they tried to pass a law, or make a rule about how calls should be handled, and it was only made a "suggestion" is a further slap in the face. My heart goes out to Denise's family. It's heartbreaking that her young children will probably never remember her. 💔
Happy Halloween everyone! My all time favorite channel ❤
Happy Halloween!

Best time to be a true crime fan
its always been a good time; but before you had to read books about it lol .. back in the day you actually enjoyed that though
Wrong, crime doesnt get solve now and if it does the perp gets a slap on the wrist and a tiny bond
Kinda old fashioned I still love real physical paper books. My daughter too says she loves the smell of new and old books I have to agree.
First snow of the year, cold outside, not a lot to do today….five and a half hours? Oh HELL YEAH!! Perfect, thank you 🙏
Oh yes, this is excellent, Beyond Evil is one of my fave channels. YES!!!
I went through some trauma when I was younger and, as a result, I ended up making some very bad decisions when it came to the people I dated. After my last boyfriend turned out to be a psycho (literally, he's most likely either dead, in prison, or in a mental institution now) I decided that I was happier being single. And I really am. I love being independent and not having to deal with relationship drama, and I don't get lonely, there are plenty of people (and dogs, LOL) in my life. But sometimes I think life would be better with a family, two incomes, children, etc...I do wonder about what my life is going to be like when I'm much older. But then I watch channels like this and decide, "Nope! Definitely better off by myself!" I don't need to go through a bad breakup and walk around in constant fear. (Which has happened to me more than once.)
Especially if you’re a heavy woman. They’re almost always better off alone.
@chudleyflusher7132 incorrect , skinny bitch3s be crazy af .. I have the scars to prove It .. also 😂😂😂 that's savage af lol😂😂😂
I have been single now for about 20 years and at first thought I might find someone eventually when I was ready for a relationship, but I became more and more independent and happier with my own life. I honestly can't see the point of having a partner and giving up my freedom and independence. I don't want to share my home except for my pets and when my son comes around. If I want friends coming over or go out I can and do what I want. It's not because of horror stories I just prefer my own company. Just the idea of having some guy in my domain gives me the heebijeebies.
@@chudleyflusher7132Are you a "heavy" woman speaking from experience? No?
@@Ainaes-FelineI spent 20 years between my ex-husband and my current husband. I was fully prepared to spend my life with my dogs in peace. I've been married to my husband for 11 years. He was my bestie for years before we got together, and he worked hard to convince me we needed to be together. I'm happy with him and our relationship, but damn, I miss not having a perfectly clean bathroom!!!
The Toledo Ohio story, OMG. If it was the dispatchers family or the cops' families, they would have been in that house immediately. That's what is so frustrating. They had plenty of cause to go in if they had just listened to the circumstances. Just disgraceful.
Unbelievable but I also wonder why the parents didn't just take matters in their own hands. You only need 1 window or door open. And if you're worried about her parents contact them on that ship. It's not brain surgery. I wouldn't bother with the parents yes or no but that's everyone's own business.
It would be bad enough to lose a loved one to violence, but it's even worse when they could have been saved, but incompetent people screw it up.
Please do more of these bigger vids. You literally got me thru work today lol bout to clock out now and im 4 hours into the vid. My condolences to all of the victims families. For mollys mom to have to inform her husband if their daughters death broke my heart , all of these stories are heartbreaking
Thankful for the marathon. Enjoyed watching tonight. Had something to watch.
Yay! A Beyond Evil Marathon…. Thank you for your brilliant content…. I’m a true crime fan
Molly's life was only worth 26 yrs?? Unbelievable. WTH? How in the heck did that monster only get 26 yrs???
I think it was in Britain and they don't have the sentence requirements we do. Here, it would have been life in prison or the death penalty, of course.
I hope the 911 operator that took the call telling the mom to calm down after she seen her son in that state was fired. Zero empathy
True, I agree.
That letter the attorney read … that was written by a daughter who was masterfully gaslighted by her dad.
I thought the same. I wonder if he’d of tried to “know” her in the same way he did his step-daughter.
i'll never tire of the asinine questions 911 operators ask. is the victim breathing? what did she have for supper? is victim bleeding? what the victim's zodiac sign?
Happy Halloween from Cape Town!🎃

1st story was incredible omg that women that survive his 1st attempt at murder, Michelle is amazing! She's a fighter and intelligent. God bless and heal her

🤕💭
Shame everybody who had a hand in this man getting away with attempted homicide on Michelle! From the friends who backed this monster, to the officials who didn't make him serve all 10 years and anyone who was dumb enough to believe that beating she took was in his self defense!! And I feel bad that Kay lost her life.. But it's hard to totally feel that sorry when she too defended him after seeing what he had done to another female😢 If only she had been smarter and NOT waited for a man serving prison time for almost murdering someone 😭
Agree with all your points 💯
Omg. The Rodan and Wagner case. Wow. So much planning. So much carnage.
Like the Hatfields and McCoys.
You would LITERALLY NEVER get away with this sort of Courtroom Procedure in the UK. The Leading of the witnesses, the hearsay evidence, This isnt How rigorous justice works.
Mathew is a monster but Kay is foolish. The fact he had so much support after the first attack is ridiculous, his family are monsters too.
I think I would end in prison for murder if someone threw my cat against a wall!🤬
Pairing knives are much sharper than any other knife I have worked with. It's unfortunate that it took Kay's life to put away the monster.
Watching this on Valentine's Day. Best gift, thank you!
That brand new baby trying to nurse on his dead mother. Horrifying.

This is my first Beyond Evil video. I want to say how awesome it is that you take a moment to have condolences to the families of the victims. Your reporting is well thought out and told. l had heard of some of these cases before, but your reporting is much more in-depth. Poor Nicole, RIP. My thoughts go to her loving and caring family members, may the Lord help them to get over this tragedy.
Happy Halloween my friends! Thank you for the awesome video! 🥳🎃👻
I watched the trial in the first case. It was horrifying. He should never have been let out after attacking his previous girlfriend, at least not so soon. The defense saying some unknown perpetrator was responsible was ridiculous.
Excellent job on this video! Really well done, great clips of witnesses along with segments of trials. Best of 2023!!
The 1st true crime story touched us all, honestly after that the rest is blurred because it made me so angry 😡 omg kay could have been saved a good life extinguished into thin air a great loss for the world, tht should have never happened....my sincere apologies for jurors tht got theses amazing womens lifes there blood on there hands ...JUST WOW
Excellent narrator and great audio, thanks
incredible work here y'all. Thank you!
This 1st story infuriates me more than most every criminal act of violence I've heard of in my life.
1. The USMC needs to answer for this shit. The preponderance of Marines brutalizing women, specifically women....is terrifying because it's just a thing....and because nobody even seems to notice it! I have my own experiences with brutal violence at the hands of a marine and I'm just stupefied that there isn't some kind of task force assigned to look into what the hell the marine Corps specifically does different than other military branches to have such a disturbing # of Marines violently maiming and or killing women.
2. To defend him as a character witness for any reason is one despicable thing.
But to do that and then throw the doors of the home, where you live with your babies....wide open without care or concern for their safety.
How do you even justify that decision? Never mind all of the decisions that lead to that one ?
She robbed her babies of the only mother they knew and had.
And at his 1st trial, the fact that so many damn people defended him is horrifying and infuriating.
Kay isn't at fault for what Matthew did. She's just at fault for everything she did that ended with her dead in the street.
🙄
The USMC didn’t do shit and doesn’t need to answer for anything. Our nation needs those men and women in our military ranks. Who needs to answer for shit like this is our mothers and fathers. We as a nation need to stop tolerating broken homes and this type of criminal. Look at the first jury’s ruling. Those fools enabled this guy to kill his second victim. The USMC would’ve “strung him up” if it had been in their jurisdiction, but a civilian jury practically condoned his violence. Heck, the woman practically killed herself by pursuing the relationship and advocating for a man she only knew *decades* prior. A person’s propensity for conflict resolution and problem solving are predominantly formulated prior to adulthood. Saying the USMC has to answer for criminal Marines is comparable to assigning blame to alcohol producers for how their products are used/consumed. Budweiser doesn’t promote drinking and driving any more than the Corps advocates for domestic violence.
Kay testified at Matthew’s trial for his attack against Michelle and Michelle testified at Matthew’s trial for his attack against Kay. If only Kay had realized that anyone who would attack the mother of his child in that way was no one she needed to be with then maybe she would still be alive for her kids. It’s really sad. The only think I can think of that would make Kay feel like Matthew was worthy to be with is that they had dated before and if he never attacked her in their previous relationship she was probably going off of who he was 20 years earlier. That’s very sad that she would come testify on his behalf and that’s what he did to repay her.
That's exactly what Ive been commenting to those self-righteousness bible thumpers. Makes me see red that they think it was her own fault and how could she have put her own kids at risk like that. Had she known the danger she was in she wouldn't have jokingly told her friend to convince him she hadn't been flirting. She would have run at that moment.
@@Ainaes-Felinewhat does having a different opinion have to do with being a bible thumber? Ironically, you sound self righteous by saying that.
I appreciate that this channel takes a moment to send family condolences at the beginning of the cases. Idk any others that do.
This channel is Beyond Good!!! 😀👏👏
what a great video, very sorry to all the people involved in these terrible crimes, people just don’t know how to walk away
Such incredibly sad stories of deaths that didn't and shouldn't have happened. I'm not American but I do understand the need for harsh penalties but from what Ive seen over the past few years is that somehow they just don't seem to deter. You're only having more prisons and vast overcrowding issues. And one thing I find really fascinating is the intense need to the right to bear arms and no matter the cost is does to your children and loved ones it just doesn't seem to have any impact. I'm not here to pontificate about what you should or shouldn't do but it just seem to cost so much and nothing is working. Not the deathpenalty prison sentences for an entire life time nothing. Doesn't that make you want to look at alternatives? But I do think it's all heartbreakingly sad. And there isn't an end in sight. 🥺
Kind of hard to feel bad for Kay when she was not only warned but defended him after such a brutal attack on Michelle
It's just really kind of pathetic. She had two young sons who were, fortunately, with her ex husband the night of the crime.
Awesome! Thank you for the marathon!
Thank you for sharing just a couple of weeks ago my daughter was in something like this , I hope to God that’s it is stop now I already lost a daughter 3 years ago I don’t want any thing to happen to my other children . Just found & joined your channel, love true crime! Amazes me people can kill like it’s nothing! I’ve never saw a channel give sympathy & respect to the victim(s) at the beginning! That is amazing & kind of you! Thanks for providing detailed & informative stories!

The Pike County massacre is a clear example of the evil that lives outside of urban areas. People expect this kind of savagery to happen in big cities, but for whatever reason, don't believe it can happen in small town America. They're even less aware of the propensity for violence in very rural areas.
Drugs and urban sprawl has absolutely helped to destabilize rural communities, but it's far from the only cause. Our society has raised an entire generation, and is working on the second one, to believe that nothing is their fault. That life is fair and society somehow owes them something. They have convinced themselves it's all fun and games and others are simply here to make them more comfortable.
More marathons please!
Not repeats tho please
Wagner case really great coverage. George Wagner’s been found guilty sentenced to 8 life sentences, father’s trial is yet to happen. Recommend watching if you like trials evidence is mind blowing, savagely killed Rodens. Hannah didn’t stand a chance, poor Sophia been left with some family but no mother or father she’s safely looked after & loved. This crime should be covered by more channels thank you, members of direct family were in live trial chat, heartbreaking 💔.
I don't believe Brewer shot that young man in self defense. He was the one advancing on Garrett not the other way around as he claimed. You can't fight video evidence which clearly shows Brewer as the aggressor. Maybe Garrett said something after Brewer confronted him for urinating on the wall which made Brewer angry but something triggered him to viciously kill a young man that night. I hope he rots in jail for what he did that night and for lying about it.
