Hey guys! Your judge here :) As for alters, in general I believe it is an RB directive to not allow them on stream for top cut! Some feature matches might just let them through but I remember being directed to tell players they would need to find swaps for cards before top cut could play.
Question for you gentlemen.. coming from Utica, New York… great podcast, love hearing from you guys and I always look forward to the new episode notification for this channel, because when I do I know I’ll learn something new after every episode. Keep up the great work! So… my question is in regards to your opinions on the open/closed deck list format but with a different approach…. What are your thoughts on having open Ink Colors rather than the whole deck list? The varieties of options within each ink combinations are always changing and new types of deck themes are always coming out every new set… ie: amethyst/steel could be anything from a aggro to a jafar/whole new world deck… emerald steel could be prince John discard or floodborn damage ping … amber emerald could be under the sea or anything else etc etc etc… just thinking that it might be better to do that rather than showing the whole deck list. If people want to put the effort in figuring out what is exactly Being played, then kudos to them right? Because it still hides the inkcasters personal spice unless actively played and witnessed.. Just want to know your professional opinions on that. Please and thank you! Take care. - Tom Falzarine aka Falzanator
Gutta say guys, even if this was 4 hours i would still listen to every minute of it. You guys are absolutely amazing thanks as always for all the wonderful content. As we’re now mid set, do you see any of the top 7-8 ink combos creeping above the others in power level?
Thanks for covering my question for spilled ink about the French teams and RS! Also loved the purple steel chat, I've been doing a video series on PS exploration on my channel. Great show guys!
Please Moyen would you consider getting a real mic. It would improve the podcast big time and would make it more enjoyable to listen to. Your not a guest here. With no Brendan and a guest that has also not the best mic, it’s getting a bit annoying to listen to such a long podcasts with toasters as mics
Would love to hear more about Frank's deck building approach in details. I tried the PS one in a more casual setting (ie. player on my level with varying decks, meta, rogue, etc.), and it's really smooth. I haven't tweaked anything, since it seems tricky to tweak. For example, I'd like to cut Yzma since she is almost always ink. She is taking a slot for: - card draw (between a 5th Genie and a 3rd Doc) - a 4 drop (the card draw spot of purple decks, although she draws on t5, making her a bit clunky) - a 2 lore quester (again a 5th genie) - a 3/3 body (though PS has plenty of 3/3 at 3 already) The closest cards are Dolores and Bruni, but both are not better. A 3rd doc is the most immediate one, since it only costs the inkability (from 12 o 13 unkinkables). A 1 of Rabbit would keep the Zeus singer count, but the deck only has 1 Zeus. Friends would be ok, but would sacrifice the board presence option. Or if I'd want to cut the Smash, it seems to be: - an inkable non-song removal, sort of a 5th SoaRF - a 2nd Pete incase of Ariel and Ursula DoA Both Fire the Cannons and Zeus are fine, but sacrifice the 2nd Pete option for steelsong and GS match ups.
Another marathon podcast. Understandable when continentals/worlds being played. Also, with Frank participating. I agree that there's no hard-and-fast conclusions to be had from EU Champs (like conversion rate for ruby-amethyst making it the best deck ever) but, reviewing the results is useful in understanding the meta. I've been playing a lot of amethyst recently and I often wonder if/when to sac a chernabog's followers or magic broom for the card is advisable. Is there any general situation or rule-of-thumb when doing so is usually good (or bad for that matter) that you all have had success with? 😎
On the question of the two game format, I can see how the best of 1 would be an issue (though interesting idea). If the issue is to stop collusion, it's really only the last 3 rounds which are an issue. If two players have both 2-0 five out of five, I'm OK with them splitting round 6 as they still have 3 highly competitive match ups to go. So, would giving 2 bonus points instead of 1 for a 2-0 win in th3 last 3 rounds solve the issue ? You guys are amazing with the maths of this game, so throwing it over to you as an idea to work through whether it would work. Merry Christmas to you all and I look forward to more great content from you all in 2025.
I remember Frank from Magic. Good to see he's moved away from that dumpster fire. They really did a great job of killing the pro-scene or at least turning it into a shadow of what if once was.
I wish to hear sometimes more thoughts on why Frank thinks optimizing the curves is so important for him/mathemztically. Cause I guess it is part of the explanation of some on ofs which I feel are Amadeus very weird in a deck according to my intuition.
Moyen is starting his villain arc after all this LCCC drama

Hi. Are signed cards fine? Also can you play with alters or signed if they cover ANY important info (tag, power, willpower, text....)
Thanks :D
@RashdosEU as long as it's not covering anything critical.

Already got a mic for the podcast, is my mic quality always like this or was it better in other episodes?

2:03:30 I didn‘t want to prox 40-50 cards to play another deck 😂

He hasnt moved away at all from Magic! He does both, no problem...
@arjenvandergun4031 that's a shame
