Can someone explain why he has black toe nail polish?
Most of us in my classes do. From kicking the heavy bag and sparring, our toe nails turn purple, black, sometimes they break and go flying across the room or cut our sparring partner. So we polish them with either black nail polish (mostly the men do and fair skinned women), or a dark maroon-purple for the other women. This way our nails don’t look janky outside of the dojo. By using a base coat, color coat, and then clear top coat to add thickness and stability, it’s less likely that you chip the nail or you break it and it goes flying when kicking the pads or cuts your sparring partner.
Very interesting, never thought about it before. We use to use electrical tape to secure our baby toes from breaking on the judo mats

In his prime Chuck was an apex predator in the cage/ring. He always moved forward walking through his opponents offense eating punches just to get one of his own off because that one was all he needed. The UFC wouldn't be what it is without him.
