I recently got a Syngonium wendlandii myself because I've been seeing them everywhere sold at supermarkets and so far so good. It's been growing well for me with new leaves.
Hi. Ended up here as I just identified the plant taking over ontop of my gatepost. I reside in S.E. Asia and really did not pay it much attention.I fertalised it the same time as my cacti which is not often. It once did not rain for a while and it collapsed and I thought it was a goner but just poured water on it and it was fine 24 hrs later. Mine gets brightly lit shade until about 2pm when it gets direct sunlight for 3to 4 hours (This is pretty close to the equator and usually high humidity). This does not seem to bother it and never seen any burned leaves. I am now more interested in it as I will be attempting to propagate for using at the back of the house because of its toughness. Thankyou for the video. Have subbed.
That's such a fun way to find my channel!! And how cool that it just grows outside for you like that! I could never even dream of it in the northeast of America!! Enjoy it!! And thanks for hanging out with me 😊
I have 2 pots of 2 stems (I started with a tiny, single leaf/single node cutting), and I would definitely agree with how easy it is. If it goes bone dry for a while, mine will drop most of its leaves, but when you water it again - it’s in beast mode again. Mine went from, potting soil, to a typical chunky aroid mix, to pure pumice; root structure is better in the pumice/passive semi-hydro, but otherwise- all about the same with mine. Mine is in an east facing window with direct morning light and decent lighting the rest of the day (reflection from the neighboring house). Yours is quite bushy! I like! 👍🏼
I recently got a Rayii. I think i like they bit more as Wendlandii because she is a bit darker. But both of them (Wendlandii, goose foot, Rayii) are so special and velvet beautys.
Oh I really love Syngonium, and have a lot of them and that is one that is on my wish list, hopefully I will find one and be able to grab it. Most of my Syngonium are in a south facing window but not in that direct light, and they are happy where they are and that also makes me happy. Thanks for sharing this plant and the tips to take care of it, it really is such a cool looking plant with those cool leaves that is so amazing. Take care, sending love and many hugs to share, bye!! 😍😻💝💜💜💞👋❄☃🎄✨
Love this one! I have a small one and almost killed it because I forgot to water. I am now taking care of it and I have three new leaves coming in the past month!! When it gets bigger I'll be chopping, I want a big thick bunch of them!!
I would so enjoy that plant in my house and amazing to have found it at a big box store and it's so healthy! I will certainly keep my eye out for one next spring. You have such beautiful plants and I can tell that is your passion and you love plants!
Same, Idk why mine grow a lot but the leaves look like they're already dead, like, yellowish in some parts. My room is a bit dark and never gets direct sun, which is good for it. I talk to her every day, I check the soil every day, Idk what to do hahah
I recently got one and it was beautiful but too big so i repotted and watered and now it is slowly yellowing 😭 did i overwatered or could it be the repot?
It was probably the repot. Overwatering takes a while, it's not about how much water you give the plant, it's how often. Sometimes plants don't love all the change. Give it time. It probably needs to re-grow some roots!
Hi Jaclynn, great video! Too bad this video is a bit old... I still try to ask the community a question... who knows if anyone sees it ;-) Does Syngonium Wendlandii grow fast? LIke 2/3 leaves a month?
I've been on the lookout for one. Since you found yours. So many people have been finding several of my wishlist plants in big box stores and mine just has pothos and tradescantia 😒. Hopefully the new year brings new plants 🪴 😀
This past summer I saw one at my big box and immediately proceeded to purchase it until i realized something didnt look right. Sure enough I think there are dieffendbachias that look very similar and I put it back knowing that I would kill it.
There are some plants that look similar, for sure! Syngonium will always have that traditional arrow head shape to them!! These velvety leaves are very unique too, I've only seen a handful of plants that are this soft!! I'm confident you'll know it when you see it! 😊
It can be hard to tell on camera and when they're not side by side, but the leaves are green on this one. They're quite big as well, and the silver line down the center is too pronounced to be rayii. Hopefully I can come across one and do a comparison, but for now this ones all I have!!
After watching your video about buying this plant , I've bought a syngonium wendlandii from Steve's Leaves and it is a different plant. I ended up with a plant I really don't care for. I'm not trying to be critical, just wanted you to know that this is a different plant. I'm sorry if I don't come across as being friendly, English is not my first language 🙃
@@ETLewko maybe they had it labeled wrong? Its common to confuse them, even for growers! But if you Google it you can see them side by side! I think the lighting of this video made it look much darker green than it is in real life. Also, I don't think you're rude at all! I had to look into it as well because it can be confusing!! We're all just plant parents out here trying to figure things out! 😊
@@jaclynns.jungle Steve's Leaves is a very reputable company and they do have them both. Just trying to help. Last thing I want is to write another sentence in English. It is difficult and time consuming. There is no need to prove me wrong.
Have been wanting one of those for a while now. Good to know it is finally being mass marketed and made available to more people.
Absolutely!! I think you'll be seeing it a lot more!
Literally the prettiest syngonium, red spot tricolor could never
I love both! But I love the price tag on this one better 🤣
I agree, it is beautiful. Might be better off ordering from Indonesia or overseas when the weather permits.

Its definitely becoming more readily available and that's awesome!! Such a gorgeous plant! ☺

They definitely don't like a lot of light! Mines always got yellow leaves because I forget to water it lol
Such a pretty plant! Thanks for another video 💚👏🎉

I always wanted one but didn't want to have to import or have it shipped! So cute! They grow fast!
Great deal on the beautiful syngonium🤗❤️💚🌱🌿🪴🎄
I'm definitely not mad about it! ☺
This plant gives me so much trouble..thanks for the tips. Here's hoping I can make mine like me again
I hope you two have figured it out ☺

Beautiful Wendlandii
She's gorgeous! 😍
It’s soooooo pretty!😍😍
Thanks boo! 🥰
I really hope I can find that plant from Costa Farms! I have a smaller one that's more lobey climbing up a piece of wood.
I Bought One Online And It Was A Very Full 4 Inch Pot... SO Now I'm Working On GR💚WING Them Into 2 Full 6 Inch P💚TS!!!
I love the velvety look of this plant. I see the little kitty pots. I can’t remember which expression I gave you😅
I remember ☺
Definitely Wendlendii! Hopefully will find one in our CRAPPY big box stores in Mass 😢

What’s the difference between wendlandii and rayii? They look similar to me. Does anyone know?
Leaves on rayii are almost black, they're smaller and more elongated, and don't have as much or any silver stripe!
