The Wailing is a great movie. Saw Dead and Breakfast at a film festival nearly 20 years ago. Thought it was a lot of fun. Osgood Perkins (Anthony Perkins' son) was in it as an actor and has turned into a really good horror Director. Can't wait for his new movie Longlegs to come out.
The Wailing is fantastic. I agree 100% with Talk to Me take. Replace the hand with Ouija board and uts same old thing. Wretched was really good and great score. You ever seen Mr. Jones?
Awesome Haul Bryn! Leviathan is a Good Fun Creature Feature! I enjoyed Night of the Demons 3 thought it was a solid film. I Also thought Suitable Flesh was a fun watch. Thanks for Sharing Buddy!👊🏼💀
Great haul mate. I also really like Thanksgiving. Had a blast with it. I avoided Talk To Me because the kids all seem really annoying in the clips and trailers I watched. Glad you've confirmed this and saved me some money 😅
Just had to comment to say you truly chose save the 'best' for last. I laughed so hard when the title came up on screen 😂. Whoever comes up with ideas like that must share my odd sense of humour. Another fantastic video and some interesting finds for sure!
I can't exactly be accused of having my finger on the pulse, but I was rather surprised to hear that Invaders from Mars isn't held in the highest regard. I think that one is great with killer practical effects and amazing alien designs. And one of the few cases where I think a remake is far better than the original. I will clearly never understand that world.
Absolutely incredible video Bryn. Awesome pickups mate. Ah. It’s a shame that you didn’t enjoy The Exorcist Believer mate. I will give it a go at some point. Ooo. I’ve got Eyes Of Laura Mars, but haven’t seen it yet, so great to hear that you enjoyed it. The Haunted Honeymoon looks quite cool as well. I wasn’t overly keen on The Haunted Mansion either. It’s okay, but not great. Definitely need to get Leviathan at some point. Heard that’s incredible. Awesome stuff my friend.👍😃

Brand new to the channel Bryn, love it, your enthusiasm and voracious appetite for horror movies is contagious. It’s actually made me sign up to YT so I can comment and join in - and I’ve been lurking around in the shadows for ages. A big fan of horror, so hopefully I can have some input in the comments here. Re: Night of the Devils, saw this a couple of years back. Man are you in for a treat with that one. Dim the lights and lock the windows, if anything starts scratching or knocking, whatever you do don’t open the door! It’s a take on Tolstoy’s tale published in 1884, The Family of the Vourdalak, so if you’ve seen Bava’s ‘Black Sabbath’ (the segment with Karloff) you’ll know what you’re in for. NotD is nightmarish, surreal, captivating and yet at the same time luridly tawdry, needless to say, I loved it. Can’t wait to hear your (or others) thoughts on it.

Oh yeah, The Wailing.. Watched that about 4 or 5 years back: I liked this. Had zero expectations going in and came out the end suitably entertained. Lows: 1) Not in the least bit creepy, frightening, spooky or jumpy. 2) The characters switch halfway through and the story begins to lose charm. Certain ideas are wastefully underplayed. 3) The ending doesn't know what to do with itself.. I think it was keeping things ambiguous hoping for a sequel. Either that or the makers didn't know how to finish it. Whatever the reason, after 2 and a half hours it's a frustrating and unsatisfying climax, one which may taint some viewer's overall experience. Highs: 1) Production values high, acting good, well made. 2) Some really thrilling moments and action set pieces. 3) Even at 2 and a 1/2 hours it supplies energy and momentum throughout, so it's never dull. In fact I got almost 1hr 40m in before I thought: 'This has been on a while now, I wonder how much longer?' And I have the attention span of a magpie. Overall, not a classic, like say the Shaw Brother's opus that is: 'Black Magic', but still definitely recommended. Be good to here Bryn’s and anyone else’s thoughts on this one…

I hated the new Exorcist movie too, Bryn. Load of tripe. Don't know why they bothered. And what the heck was all that about - messing around with Ellen Burstyn's eyes??? What an utterly despicable and needless way to treat one of the main icons of the first movie (must have generated some huge backlash from Chris McNeil fans). When oh when is Hollywood going to come up with some new, original horror stories instead of churning out the same old substandard rehashes of classic movies??
