Absolutely amazing video. If the boxes were new, would the soaking in wax and linseed oil without painting be enough for the hives to last in the elements?
Bush Bee Man... Is that Deep Fried "Could Be Sh#t" for you and the Bees!?! A Waxing Lyrical RUclips Video for sure...🤭 Love the way you can Diddle, Diddly-Dee, Diddle the Sped Up Theme Tune. Far Out ! Happy Beekeeping 2021 (New 🐝 Season.) 🥳 Down Under wise. 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝
I put the Diddle Diddle music on and the time did not speed up for me?? What am I doing wrong , this is all hard work! Great fun, the well done steak comment at the end nearly killed me laughing, thanks Mark and John, it's nice to have a happy place away from the PC brigade! Stay Safe!
Hey, is there a part 3 to the lead Viking videos? You showed videos of making it, then bottling it, can't find a end result video. Keen on trying it myself. I think the videos were episode 46 and 48?
Mate, get rid of the timer and wait for the foaming to stop or at least slow down, before you remove the boxes. The foam is caused by moisture leaving the wood. The wax looked to be too cold when you started because, it generally foams instantly if the wax is up to temp. The idea of the process is to drive the moisture out, leaving hot dry voids, allowing the wax to soak into the wood before it cools too much.,
Why don’t you wax dip all the parts separately the. Assemble the box as you could fit maybe 10 times as many disassembled boxes into the vat as assembled
would definitely buy a "Could be good, could be shit" apron
The funniest "old" man i know on this planet. I love you Bee Man!

Old bee boxes -
I was told by an old timer, that the rickety 'bout to fall apart boxes where the best because no one would steal them.

Could be good, could be shit - apron with a caricature of your face on it, heck yeah!
The apron sounds good, also a hoodie too!
To increase efficiency: while waiting for the boxes to get ready, have a beer… or two

Do you paint them white for a specific reason?
To protect the bees from the summer sun.

Sorry, call me stupid but you wax dipped the boxes and then painted them? I didn't think that the paint would adhere to the wax??
Must apply oil paint when hot.
