OMG you were hilarious! Thanks for the vote, I bought the blue quilted maple version two years ago and the Luthier said they were infamous for necks separating at the body. Funny, my action has the exact same problem. I cut up a few playing cards and put them under the bridge and now it’s perfect. Also tho, mine was supposed to be a “d” guitar apparently. And it sounded fine tuned down, but after I raised the bridge, it worked great in every tuning

Your review is ok but the instrument Ovation Celebrity Elite CE44-4-G seems not so good as I thought. It sounds very simple both unplugged and plugged into the PA in fact it sounds awful. I’m sorry but I have to test it ones more before I think of buying one. So thanks for your help. //Thomas
OK, you like comments, here's mine (I'm the Negative Grid guy). As for the Ovation, I've owned two Legacy Ovations, both came with the fret-board inlays not exactly lining up with the strings--which doesn't effect playing, and not noticeable to the average person, but drives me crazy every time I look at them. I'd like to see a review on their new Legacy line (even though I've sworn them off) if you ever get a chance. My other comment is in reference to the Spark Amp (hey, 7 months later and it finally came in) so I'll leave that in the other video comments. Finally, for those who would consider an Ovations--here's my experience with them. I found their string alignment in the nut and bridge string guides were always off for some reason and the bridge placement was also not perfect (adding to my frustration). I zoomed in on this guitar to check these things (would have been nice to have a full face view--maybe next time)--and it didn't appear to have these issues from what I could see. Check your bridge placement, bridge string guides and nut guides along with string alignment down the neck in reference to the neck inlays and obviously 1st and 6th string spacing down the outside of the neck--hopefully they have a better Quality Assurance system in place then they did in the past? That's all I have--hope this helps somebody--cheers for now.
Yeah this one was lined up perfectly. The only issue was resolved with a little truss rod love. I think they’re back to doing things correctly. I had a plum burst late 90s model Celebrity Deluxe that I gigged with for years and this sounds better in the room and into a PA. It’s still no Martin or Taylor but I think it competes favorably with say Washburn in that price range.

I have to say that they sound even better in person than they do on videos. They, at least mine, have a beautiful ring to them.
@@GearGasms They all look good to me. The thing about getting a spalted maple top is seeing the guitar you are actually buying. "I've never turned a truss rod in my life". Rarely, have I bought a guitar that I DIDN'T turn the truss rod to get more relief as the action was set far too LOW. People, fear NOT the GENTLE turning of the truss rod. And ONLY turn 1/16th to 1/4 at a time. Then do as this reviewer did and let the neck sit and the wood re-model under the new stress. It’s not that I didn’t know how to do it, it’s just never been necessary nor did I have the balls had it been necessary. You can review any number of things without knowing how to do maintenance on it. But thanks for the comment
@@GearGasms Well, I didn't mean to be mean! I was also afraid of using the truss road the first time but if you do it little by little you can not damage the guitar, I live in the Netherlands and the weather is severe here. I have to take my guitar on a gig bag to give lessons so it's being exposed to warm and cold weather a few times a day and the neck goes bonkers. I am used to adjust the neck a few times a year.
I ordered the same model yesterday to teach my pupils. I wanted a strong guitar and a 12 string one. So I hope to get it soon. Take care and have fun!
I didn’t take it that way at all! Hope you all are staying safe over in the Netherlands!
@@GearGasms Yes, we are fine, we have a lockdown but not severe. I still teach some students face to face and some other ones online. But I am getting tired of the whole thing. Let us hope it will soon be over! I heard on the news that USA is in a lot of trouble, too bad, really, USA is a very cool place! Take care as well!
Pickup is out dated
What do you mean? This guitar was brand new
Nice out of tune singing🤪
I do that on purpose to my my viewers feel better about their own meager talents! 😜
Would love to have you subscribe if not already! Thanks Angel!
