Age 62 here. Thanks for another great discussion. The diverse range of cameras shown in your presentations are wonderful. Mr. Woo's depth of knowledge is fantastic. Would love to see a mini biography of Mr. Woo and his career in photography. Bravo. As far as the camera snobs go, its the mechanic, not the tool. The best camera is the one your proficient with.

My favourite RUclips channel. I’d love to hear Mr Wu do an analysis of the Konica Hexar AF and RF.

30 years old. I got into film photography when I was 18 after finding my dad’s Nikon FM. I was fascinating with how well made it was and how it still functioned perfectly after many years and of course the amazing photos it produced. It started a bit of an addiction as I now work in a darkroom and have many many cameras and lenses (especially Nikon). I would love to see you both discuss perhaps m42 cameras and lenses. There’s so many to go over but I feel there are a lot of unappreciated yet interesting cameras and lenses like the Chinon CE-3 and the Chinon 50mm 1.8 macro “Switar” lens copy. Even maybe some of the early Fuji m42 cameras and lenses

Recently bought a FM from my year of birth, 1978. Never owned a SLR before, only digital. The whole analog design is very neat. I really like the build quality too. I agree with you on the modern cameras. For most use cases modern mirrorless cameras are overkill. They all take good pictures. Better than the FM, but thats not the point. Analog gives a different experience. It's a lot of fun to explore and find out how to shoot on film.

LOVE your videos! Especially been loving the Nikon F3 videos! I would love to see a video on Nikons film point and shoots with a focus on the Nikon 35ti and 28ti. (Even though it’s digital) I would also LOVE LOVE LOVE a video on the old Nikon 1 system!!! Such a slept on system, I still have a couple of the cameras and lenses!

I have the em nikon I'm a digital shooter but I must say it's a completely different feel fully mechanical no fancy auto focus, which has taught me to manually shoot on digital, although it's expensive,,would love to learn how to develop what i need and to do it, very good videos and your English is amazing.

Thank you Mr. Woo. Always wondered about the FM3. I've had the F3/MD4, FM/MD11, FM2/MD12, and now just my trusty FM2n (aluminum shutter). Love the fact that it shoots without the battery using the sunny 16 rule. I do wish the index tab flipped up like my FM but I don't have any non-AI lenses now so it's not a problem. Still have my Nikkor glass that I use for both the FM2 and my Fujifilm X-Pro2. The twos are company.

I had Nikon FM, two Nikon FE and two Nikon F3 Cameras, the most used was Nikon FE because it had the best light meter system ! Btw when new the FE was more expensive than the FM !

From this lineup have the FE and FM2/T. FE very nice, but after it started developing problems (firing while winding on certain lenses) I wanted one of the fully mechanical ones. I found a FM2/T that was the same price of a normal FM2, because it looks like it has been in a war or maybe in a sandblasting facility. The color of the FM2/T is not the actual titanium, it's a coating. I know because mine has so many spots where the titanium is showing through, haha. The titanium underneath is much more silvery than the champagneish color you see. By the way I later fixed the FE, I could not leave it half working even though I got the FM2/T.

FM doesn't have a silicone light meter cell, it uses two GPD (Gallium-arsenide-phosphide Photo Diodes) and unlike SPD ( Silicon Photo Diode), it responds only visible light. The FE used SPD

Hi John, as a forensic photographer, I would love you guys to do a presentation on macro photography & if possible, medical photography. For my Nikon F3 (which I use for B&W prints), I do use a few original bits & pieces.
My Pentax 645 is my go-to piece of kit.

I was looking a bit around for FM3a but its hard to get and when you find one its pretty expensive. I'll look for one in Japan when I get back there in future. But before that I will probably get FA or F3. :)

55 to 80? Wow! That makes me young! My daughters is 19, and she's starting to wet her toes with analogue. The guys I use for my processing are all under 35. There's hope yet!

Does Mr Woo has a collection of Nikon rangefinders? I'm almost 31 now ^^ and I have Kiev-4a, Nikon F-301 and Nikon F4s, wanna shot film more especially large format 4x5, but not only can't afford it, but it's borderline impossible to find good Asian/Western even medium format cameras in my region. not to mention large one :(

  • @eddyhoughton6542

Not sure about the AMP. The whole reason I got my first "proper" manual camera, a Nikon FE, was to learn how to play with aperture and shutter speed to get the effects I wanted, rather than let the camera do the work for me. The whole autofocus and matrix metering system thing takes work (and decisions) out of the hands of the photographer, which ultimately makes you a worse professional.
