My thoughts on my GFX1002 and GFX100s/2 and why I think it's the best MF system for commercial photography use. My thoughts only and I am the owner not borrowed for 5 days for review.

Oh this one was from the mid 50's, I still have one lying around somewhere.
I have the Toyo 45A and it is a great camera. I just saw that Toyoview is going out of business. Sad to see them leaving the business.
When comparing it to the Hassy the big difference is the cost of the glass as it is much more affordable but this is in part because it doesn't use leaf shutters that allows flash sync at any shutter speed vs the typical focal plane shuttter on the Fuji models. If you are using the camera for landscapes you are all set, some Pro's may want the Hassy due to the leaf shutters doing flash photography but you can obviously take great shots with the Fuji as well. As you stated in your previous video fine art photographers will lean in the Hassleblad direction and comparisons on image quality I have seen for those doing a lot of landscapes the Hassleblad does to me look a bit better. Take care John. - Jeff
Nice job John, I like looking at gear I can buy once I win the lottery, I agree with your preferences in bodies and the quality of the lenses, Your wife's work is outstanding, tell her I said Hi! Take care - Jeff
Nice preentation, John,. Would have liked to have seen some sample photos.
I did insert the guitar 🎸 shots if you want more I can email to you
The Fuji GFX100SII is a very nice Camera, but Fuji needs to upgrade the Lens line, more compact, more light weight Lenses with better resolution. The new Fuji 500mm 5.6 is nice.
Don’t forget Fujifilm has the only T/S MF lens. As far as resolution my clients have issues. I posted the images in the video
@@Photojouralist123 I do not need T/S Lenses. Btw all T/S Lenses are manual
@ of course it’s Manuel I use them it’s my profession!
@ Then there are no need to write T/S MF lens 🤗 I have never used T/S lenses, when I was a professional photographer I used 4x5" and 5x7" view cameras, much better.
WoW😍
The teleconverter for the GFX is really good? Any IQ depreciation?
No IQ degradation if you want I can send you a sample
@ thank you for your reply, I had a chance to get one for a good price and gave up. Now its hard to get one even new. I have both Tele lenses the 250 and 500mm I was thinking again to find one.
Wow, what a camera, congratulations! Mr Woo certainly knows his stuff…..what a find!🙏🇦🇺👍
Mr. Woo seems to me to be extremely sane.
The Nikon SP are the best rangefinder cameras ever made and as the honorable seller says they were released around 2005 and improved them both in multiple coatings on the lenses as well as the horizontal curtain shutter mechanism and they were always expensive, I remember they cost more than USD 2,000 at B&H, they were very expensive, especially the SP EE, you must use that camera, there is no other choice and take good care of it because it is history, simply speaking, a beautiful piece of Japanese art, technique and engineering.
907xCFV100c - I use a Hoodman Loupe - rubber and glass - see the entire frame, sits on it lovely - was out to day with it shooting trees for the Forestry commision - 4 section slider - 3 exposure bracketing - 20 shots in a line with the focus on a nearby tree - LR is doing its thing right now - I use a Mac Studio - the big one - works a treat - we have seventy five different panos to make - Thanks Hass - been using you for 35 years now - never once let us down - get some spare batteries and don't forget their filters - on the website- they are the best - slim, finely made - carry on shooting all
It is always a pleasure to listen to Mr. Woo talk camera history. What store is this by any chance? I would love to visit and support them.
Where is Mr woo shop located. Many thank
It’s located in Malaysia 🇲🇾
Great video as usual. How is the system for landscapes? Do you have to focus stack every image or can you stop down to get the full scene in focus.
For landscape it’s fantastic as the lens stoped down will give you tremendous amount of detail
@ thank you
I had to choose between the GFX and the X2D. It seemed to me that the X2D made better pictures.
I will take Swiss Cheese any day over Green Cheese but 16 Bit does make a difference. Cheers! 🐎
John, You are now in Your Element. Cheers! 🐎
Thanks for the support Randall !
While I prefer Hasselblad, I think Fuji is more cost effective. I am still using Full Frame digital and Hasselblad 500 C/M film. Maybe I will go digital medium format soon!
I saw the video showcasing your Hasselblad equipment, and I found it fascinating. One thing I’m curious about is why you choose Fuji for your commercial work, given that Hasselblad also offers 16-bit color. Is it due to the lens range, handling, or something else?
Lens range Hassy no T/S lens
@@iclic5214 I explain in the video 1. Lens range T/S lens others don’t have 2. Weather resistants are two big factors.
Best camera ever
Fuji 100 is a great camera. But your video looks too much like an ad.
Of course I shoot ads haha 😆
I have an X2D and enjoy it, but the lens availability situation is absolutely dire. Not only is there no published roadmap, not only are there not some obviously necessary lenses like a macro or midrange zoom, but the lens they have refreshed are extremely difficult to find. I got into Hasselblad because I couldn't convince myself to pay Leica APO prices when it seemed like the X2D would actually be cheaper and better IQ, and it is those things, but six months later Im back to Leica M and my X2D languishes on the shelf =/ Still, end of the day when you want a good file, it's hard to beat the newest blads.
I agree their lens line is crazy 🤪 you want one they don’t have for months
I want one to use with my 500 series and the 5 lenses I have already
Please share your wife's web site , I would love to see her work.

Thank you very much.
You’re welcome 🙏
stop scratching cameras on the table😢
Great Job John! So what camera and person that was used to record this video? Sharp! Cheers! 🐎
Haha my friend we used 4 led panels and an iPhone 15 pro max
Just took delivery on an extremely clean black Nikomat FT3 body. I shot a FT2 in the dlate 70's and loved it to death, but moved to the FM when it came out. I still have and shoot the FM but the new body is more nostalgia and a collector item. I'll still shoot it because of the looks and comments it will get.
i am glad it is in DJI hand.
Thanks, John, for this video. I appreciate you.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and your use of the Hasselblad I have used or owned a Hasselblad but hope to some day 😊
What you say is true. The HB X2D is just plain killer. I could not afford it and I could not not afford it. What it does with the XCD 55V to light and color is a whole other realm. I like my M9 and have some nice lenses to hang on that camera. But for color and light I have nothing and have seen nothing that can compare. My question is why use any other camera? I got the Q3 43 and had hoped it would be a pocket X2D. It is not. You are correct, the X2D with HB glass is in it's own world. It also makes other lenses shine. I sometimes think I should get another XCD lens. But OTOH I am so happy with the 55 and can use my old Sonnars, which cover the entire sensor, and some other old lenses, so I am good. Well, maybe another lens down the road. ;o) Thanks for the continuing no BS reviews.
Actually I prefer the Q3 43 rendering over the 55V by not a small margin. But to each their own, it is highly subjective
@@RegrinderAlert You have both and have tested this, right? It is not at all highly subjective. It is a fact that the X2D + XD55V is used in pro work. This is not the case with the Q3 43. Maybe a pro is using one. But they are not anywhere close. It is not subjective at all. If you have both you know this. If you do not have both, do some reading. You may prefer the Q3 43. That does not make it better but it makes me wonder about you. ;o)
The Nikon S RF model is wonderful collectible master piece model, surprising why the companies release them in limited quantity ? As it is hardly avilable for the collectibles and camera enthusiasts, besides sturdiness, these models perform wonderfully with corner to corner sharpness, The quality of pictures are immaculate because of their capturing the event intenstaniously exect in comparison to slr models, I imagine to have one, in my life time, Thanks to NIKON। SKPareek,Bhawanimandi, Raj, India
About $5k on eBay.
got a F2 found my F.T.N. was best
I had to do Hasselblad on a budget after being a Nikon guy for years and stopped when they went to the Z family. After a lot of research and soul searching I got an excellent used X1D II for roughly 5K less than the X2D. My first lens was the 45P. Slowly building my system next was the 28P followed by the 75P. I just traded the 45P in on a 55V to replace it. Now I have consistency across my lenses. That covers everything I need to shoot. I am not a run and gun or drive by shooter type, so speed and IBIS are not a priority for me. But, the color rendition is. I don't need to chase specs and 50 megapixels is enough. I do have a computer that can easily do the larger files of the X2D. Someday, a 907X may present itself. But your observations as someone who has Hasselblad means a lot vice the talking head pimps out there who have to return theirs. That means so much to me.
Wow 🤩 thanks 🙏 a lot . You selected some amazing lens. But consider the other older lens like the 65mm it’s magic 🪄
@@Photojouralist123 I have to agree. I was going for the 65mm until the 75P launched and I had a chance to grab one early. That is an outstanding lens. One other thing is I got is a 11mm XCD extension ring for it for some closeup/detail work. Hasselblad implies something with the latest lens firmware update is for the 28P-38V-55V-75P which I find interesting since it covers my lens choices.
Just bought the 907x with cfv100 and I love it. It harkens back to shooting on film and switching between that and the 500c/m just makes things fun. I can separate my profession and passion of photography with the 907x and it makes me excited to shoot again when I felt bored with my digital Fuji’s or other film cameras. Not for everyone of course but feels at home if you enjoy slowing down. Edit: no ibis handheld is ok if you shoot carefully and having leaf shutter in the lens helps. Plus high iso with Phocus 2’s noise reduction makes it more manageable.
Lovely camera 📷 a very rare piece of kit.😊
It’s beautiful 🤩
It took me 40 years to get a HASSELBLAD - I finally spent my Retirement 'Lump Sum' in 2002 and got a 501CM + 80mm + included Prism -- later got a 50mm f4 CFi Distagon and 180mm f4 CFi Sonnar and extension tube ( which has since packed up working ! ) -- then some yeas ago I was GIFTED a Beat Up 1978 500CM from a 92 year old Camera Club member -- I had to pay expensive to get it serviced here in UK but it works great now -- would LOVE to be able to afford a DIGITAL BACK but at 87 years old and " NO MORE PAYING FOR CAMERA GEAR" from WIFE cannot ! PS -- I hope you actually USE that BLACK NIKON SP you bought -- don't keep it locked away in a Hermetically -Sealed Cupboard OR let ME have a GO with it Ha Ha !
@eklatist BLIMEY ! I got another FAN ! Yes Please Mr ''blad let me have a 907 to play with !
I love your videos! One great argument for the 907 is that you can use its back with the V-System. With the right lenses, you can achieve astonishing results-combining the vintage charm of traditional photography with the exceptional quality of one of the best digital backs. For me, this is truly unique!
Great tip!
Nice insight, thanks 👍
Glad it was helpful!
Love Hassy - Love the 907 but not for everyday use...🦘
Bought an FE2 this week frm germany, sadly nothing works. Usual thing, mirror and film winder stuck, no clue why
Omg 😍
These were resold at around US$4000 NIB around 2006. Bought 4 units.
If Nikon made a digital version of this camera, it would be a massive hit.
What is the name of the camera store? In KL? Thanks
YL camera at PJ 33
Am I dreaming? 2005? I will buy an old one next time in Japan, to fulfill my life.
By the late 1970s Nikon had fallen behind the fashion for smaller SLRs, like the OM1, MX and AE-1. The FT3 was a stopgap camera because the FM wasn't ready, and was available for a shorter time. Fewer people wanted such heavy manual SLRs, but Nikkormats could take an extraordinary amount of punishment. I have models from mint condition to ones that look like they have been in a war zone, and all of them work well. The only proviso is Nikon meters of this period die, and repairs may not be worth the expense given other metering options.
