Thank you to the reporter who asked Maschmeyer a question and gave Larocque to regain her composure. One of the nicest things you can ever do for an athlete.

Big ups to the reporter who helped bail Larocque out with the question about accidentally shooting on Masch. Larocque has been one of my favourite players since my interest in hockey started. Watching her play for Canada were some of the first times I really bonded with my dad. She is an amazing athlete and even more spectacular human being. She is one of the first Pro-athletes I've ever heard speak about mental health in a way that made me feel seen. Sending all the good vibes to Larocque, Bach, Scamurra, and Harmon. To Ottawa: Take care of our Assistant Captain, she's a gem regardless of being early or late in her career.

Thank you Jocelyne for ALL you've done for Team Canada and women's hockey. Our best wishes.

Jocelyn Larocque being so positive the whole way through but then getting emotional and tearing around the 9 minute mark of the post game presser … This trade is tough. She clearly LOVED being in Toronto.
But overall she does seem excited about moving forward. And Maschy is so amazing and supportive.

Larocque is a true professional. What a tough situation the league put the 4 players in. I love Maschmeyer so much. Incredible goalie and clearly such a supportive teammate. Ottawa Charge!!! ❤❤❤

Watching this interview was the farewell that fans needed and this game was for Larocque.

Sending so much love to Jocelyne cause this is so hard to do and to just leave your friends and teammates one day and play against them another. I can't wait to see her play more for us

Joce is 36 now but her experience will rub off on the rest of the players. She is still able to give a solid performance. She has certainly mellowed these last few years. Always liked Joce. She would go through a brick wall for any team she plays for. Also think this move will bring out the potential that Vicky Bach has, she should thrive under Carla.

I was coached by Joce as a young player, while she was in college. Always been a class act, I learned everything I know about being a defenseman from her. I love being able to watch her play pro now--she deserves it!

@@madelinezerse2349 Agreed 100%. Joce is one of my Fav Blueliners, alongside Wardo, Carla Macleod and Geraldine Heaney. You are very fortunate to have had some coaching from her. 👍🏼

I hate what Toronto did, but I know having this experienced, talented, good hearted defender will strengthen the team. Ottawa giving Bach a real chance will be awesome.

Interesting stuff. It's a tough position for all four of those traded players. Welcome to Ottawa Bach and Larocque.

Great trade for Toronto. Joss has lost a step or two on the younger ladies entering the league and it showed in the first 5-6 games of this season. she still a great leader and will help the Ottawa D core. wish her nothing but sucess

I dont understand the trade for Ottawa. It shores up Toronto. Very unusual to make a trade to a team your playing the next day.

Yep, and got Bach and Larocque in return. Very surprising trade that happened the day before this game

I have been waiting for Harmon to earn her salary for some time. No goals in six games granted her release. Don’t forget there are many reasons for underplaying. The move can often be to a player’s benefit. 😊
