Caught My PB Inshore SLAM First Time Fishing This Lure (Rapala X-Rap Twitchin' Minnow)

- In this video, I wanted to test out the Rapala X-Rap Twitchin' Minnow saltwater fishing lure for my first time. I was targeting redfish, snook, and speckled trout while inshore fishing around oyster bars and spoil islands at high tide near Tampa Bay, Florida. The Twitchin' Minnow is a sub-surface twitch bait that mimics an erratic baitfish a few inches under the surface. It literally only took one cast for me to realize that today was going to be a great day with me eventually tying my personal best inshore slam!

You, sir...had a glorious day of fishing. Rapala should be paying you for making a video like that. Great job!
Rapala makes some great lures, I’ve recently been trying out Yo-Zuris and have been very pleased, their small twitchbaits and topwaters have worked great for me, good color pallet and hardware. Maybe another option in a future lure vid…
Very nice slam!! That was a great day on the water
Headed to Amazon to get me a few as soon as I finish watching this vid! Good $hit!
I need to try and use one of these twitch baits, I’m so used to using a 4” soft plastic on a jig that everything else seems out of place lol.
Awesome video man
When using heavier wire J style hooks I prefer a rod with a little more backbone. May explain the lost fish.
Heck yeah man! I always love the slam videos!
Yes I’m gonna say it again…what another awesome episode!
Thank you!
What a day! Another amazing video. The giant trout bite around there has been fire this winter. I got a 23.5" last month.
Man Rapala needs to throw you some love and send you a care package for that slam. I can watch these videos if they were an hour long lol. Wish I could get out and fish more I'm living my life vicariously through you these days...
What a day!!!!!!!!
Great video man! The big fish were lining up for that lure!
Big trout are definitely hanging out. Just caught a big 24” in your neck of the woods on Tuesday.
Amazing work
Glad you got to experience the xrap factor
Those bulls bay banshee are the real deal. I’m loving mine.
Great video man!
Great videos!
Sorry I commented before the end. Very Nice snook! Lets get it!
I love that rod, wish they made a little heavy version for a 4000 reel 20lb braid
My buddy always swore by those x raps and they sure do work he would always outfish me if i was using a soft plastic, it was funny to see his reaction after losing one, an 11$ lure but il have to get some
Walmart. 8 bucks
Thats the only problem with the in line hooks. If you dont stick them good and penetrate the barb into their mouth they will throw those in lines every time!😎
Great video 👍 Thanks! Wasn’t the Rapala X-RAP® TWITCHIN' MINNOW size 10 at the limit of your med light rod power (1/2 oz) though? Did you ever feel the med model could have been more suited ? Great series of rods anyway !
That is a Great Bait. Smallmouth KILL those things...!
Yeah, I have had days like that but it was usually with a Mirrolure 52M11 either greenback or white w/ red head. Your rapala is a knockoff of that. The red head was better on the flats and the greenback was good for BIG snook under the Brorein and Platt Street bridges down town Tampa. Sorry you lost so many but that is why a Mirrolure is so good even if you file the barbs. Nice day though.
Great video! Do you keep your boat at a slip or do you tow it when you go out?
Always use a (rubberized and safe) net on anything big or that you want to keep! 😂 What a fun day though. Those are the ones you just don’t forget. Congrats 🍻🤙🏻🔥
Good video!! In which situations would you reccommend hard plastic vs soft??
Funny how the fish get bigger when they come un-glued. LOL
Hot bite! How are you liking that Bull Bay Banshee?
I really like it! I’d say I still liked my Avid Inshore more, but it’s a good rod
@@SeeYaDude Appreciate the response! I have an avid as well, hard to beat it. Im putting together a bonefish set up and I was thinking that 7’4 ML would be perfect for throwing light bucktails on the flats
I'd love to figure out how to hook up one of my cameras to a line with a Rapala on it.
Quick question: what camera do you film with? Thanks man. Greats Vids
I use a Sony A6400 and two GoPro Hero 7 Blacks
@@SeeYaDude thank you!!
Great video. What brand fish gloves are you using?
They're HUK gloves. I've only used them twice, but I like them so far
hi, is a SXRT10 Rapala X-Rap Twitchin' Minnow model?
I wish it was spring time where I live lol, still below 50 and cold in the North East
So I know you fish Tampa Bay Area when you fish inshore what is the area do you fish. Like do ever fish inshore around anclote key or Howard park
Just subd, where is this?
The gloves?? That’s new
Got tired of either putting sunscreen on or burning my hands
Those hooks lost you some fish
What part of Florida do you fish?
Tampa area
what fish is that?
