  • I hiked about a mile into the woods and I was following the creek to see if I could locate any signs of old house sites near by. I stepped out onto the sand bar in the creek and before I knew what was happening I was soaked . I sunk deep into the sand and almost fell on my face from it. Thank God i'm okay and didn't get hurt. I was recording when I fell into the creek, so it's pretty funny. Afterwards I managed to locate an old cabin site on a hill top beside the creek, this place is loaded with huge iron targets and it is probably an early 1900's house site. I shared many metal detecting and AT Pro related tips in this video. I hope it helps some of yall out.
Thank you for watching and God Bless!
Isaiah 26:4 - " Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock."
Jesus said - "Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell and great was the fall of it."

    About Nugget Noggin:
Hey! I'm Michael, I love to get outdoors and discover awesome things
with my metal detector. I started treasure hunting when I was 12 years
old and shortly after received my first metal detector. Since then, I've
been hooked and just love going out to search for the unknown. You
may see me in the woods crawling under an old house or diving down
in the river to search for rings. Wherever the adventure brings us, I'll try
my best to keep you entertained.

I had watched so many of his vids before I got a detector that when I got one I basically opened it, assembelled it, grabbed a shovel, and went detecting. Didn't even take a look at the manual. Didn't need to.

Great video! I got started in 1980, I had a VLF/TR machine for the first year. A different world to say the least. I moved on to White's "motion" detecting with "GEB" ground balance. Back then NO, Visual ID, NO Depth on the meter, Audio ID, wasn't even mentioned, but was in fact a big clue. I set the discrimination for accepting Nickels and above, Which included Pull tabs. If it beeped, you dug, unless (You Learned Tricks) We didn't have "Pin Pointers" you learned how with the detector, which you showed some of how to. How did we know depth? The audio (size of target beep) and the audio volume. How did we figure out Pull tab verses Nickel, they both beeped, You could (Shape) the signal, a tab was a longer signal one way, short the other. In 1980, silver was only 16 years back, so silver at 3 inch's was a common thing. "We didn't use shovels", back then, we could use "Screw drivers and POP the coins out, only 3 inch's down, If it sounded deeper or the nice bell sound of silver, we used the small trowel, small hole, In lawns and parks. Today with the far advanced detectors, I'm always (Behind) in knowing what the detector is saying. You have learned your detector well and teach it well also. As good as detectors are these days, It still takes (Learned Tricks) The days of 3 inch's deep in a un-detected park are gone. So as an (Me being) an "Old Timer" I can say you learning your detector and teaching people has been great! So after 35 years of detecting I'm learning to break "Bad Habits" Learn new "Tricks" Thanks!

Great video Nugget, I'll definitely save this as a favorite and pass it along to any of my buddies that are new to the AT Pro. It has inspired me to do more instructive live digs as well. God Bless and keep up the witness.

THAT WAS GREAT!!! I really got into this video with all of the teaching of what each means and then examples of stuff. I was wondering what year the penny turned out to be and, lo and behold, you didn't forget to say! Wonderful video, Nugget! Glad you didn't get too wet AND I'm really looking forward to the warmer weather, too! MOAR! ;-) Woohoo!

Thanks for showing how you use your detector's sound to determine what's underground. You are good at guessing what an item is before digging it.

+2015 The Year I Got The Runs He said he has 4 years on that machine, so I think it is a lot more experience and less luck or guessing in figuring out what is making the sounds he hears!

Really good job. I've been watching you for a few months and this is by far your best video. It's nice to see things dug up but I like to learn things. This was informative, great explanations and good video angles. GREAT JOB!!!!!!!! Keep up the good work and keep the info flowing.
