No one will believe it, but the night he died I woke up in the middle of the night with a feeling of dread, and just felt like "something is wrong with Chris Cornell".I hadn't thought about him in a long time really. I googled his name and I read news articles about how they were touring and playing Fox theater that night. After reading about 10 news stories I went back to sleep, relieved. When I woke up, it was all over the news that he died. I grew up in Seattle, saw them in concert many times, met the band at their Down on the Upside album release party, and worshipped Soundgarden from age 12. I still have no explanation for that experience though, as I didn't know him well or anything.
Look at how hard hes singing. Havnt heard that scream in a long long time. Gotta wonder if he knew this was last song and there was no next show to save his voice for. Ive seen him 8 times going back to 94. RIP Chris.
believe me he knew that his time had come!!! i friend of mine was in the same place as cornel 2 years ago sad to say and a week for my amigo hung him self was he telling me that he was going 2 a bether place very soon 🙏🙏
Unless you have depression or have ever suffered from depression you could never understand. The black dog. I'd do anything to be free of it. I'll always love you, Chris.
good bye beautiful man. I hope you find your peace and that the pain is gone. Thank you for sharing your talent and kind heart with us. Thank you for all the lives you changed with your music and charity work. You were too good for this world anyway. I hope your family find strength to understand what take you to go away. You will be forever missed.
I'm going to miss this voice so much. His voice and music helped me through so much. If it was a suicide I hope he is finally at peace and no longer suffering. RIP and God Bless his family and friends.
I have loved Chris Cornell and his music, voice and lyrics since the early 90's, and was so fortunate to see him live last year. This performance, and after the news of his death, I didn't believe that he committed suicide, but seeing this video is heartwrencing (u)! He seems to be influenced and in a dark (old) place. So sorry to see this ;-( You were an amazing person and musician, Chris! R.i.p and my heart goes out to his family
I still can't watch this the whole way through. The rest of the set, sure, but this... I guess it's because I'm watching it and knowing that it's the last one he ever sang. We still miss you, Chris.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, you rocking god of the scream. I will miss your voice so fucking much. Thanks for Soundgarden, TOTD, Audioslave and everything you did for the music, the world is a better place with the songs you left. Say hello to heaven for me and rock in peace.
I was a teenager when Chris and Kurt were in their primes. So sad, I still remember the day Kurt died so clearly and I will remember this forever too. RIP and thanks for the memories.
Saw him 2 weeks ago at Carolina Rebellion was litterally 20 feet away, 1 row of people back. first and only time i will ever see him perform. Got the ticket for free at the gate too. Must of been fate.
People say Soundgarden was grunge, and im probably gonna get alot of backfire from this fanbase, but. In all honesty, Soundgarden was metal. They are the modern day Black Sabbath, they might be very riffy, but they are metal. They were the brothers of rock period. And its sad that i just recently started listening to them. They are good, every single one of them. Chris has a voice of an angel. And people who say depression isnt real. Fuck you, cause it clearly is. Rest in peace brother, we will all miss you so dearly. Chris Cornell will live on
When I was in college I had a line from this song copied and stuck to my laptop because it was so influential to me. Now when he's gone it feels like someone from our family has taken away. Thank You for Your warmth that You had been giving to us Man. RIP Genius-Chris.
Hypno Coosh People who record shit pay good money to do the shit just as those who you are supposedly defending, so shut your fucking mouth, know-it-none loser. Some people do it for friends who don't get to go, and others do it for reasons only they know. Who the fuck cares? You pay to stay in one spot? You have free reign and roam of whatever venue, and if it's an amphitheater with seating, phones don't get in the fucking way. You're just fucking saying shit to start a big deal. Fucking moron.
If it wasn't for these videos, the rest of us wouldn't be able to join the magic and the mourning in such an intense way. thanks you to all that recorded!
Great video! Thank you for sharing this. Hope all his music doesn't get tied up in litigation and pulled from RUclips. What an amazing grunge artist!! I have followed him from the beginning. I can't believe he lived through losing so many fellow rockers and would choose to end it this way. I am so sad for his family! RIP Chris Cornell! You made a huge difference in my world with your amazing gifts.
YAWEH bless your soul Chris, your gift from YAWEH has touched millions. It was a godsend that I actually got to see you the day before you died. You outreached and outshined, thank you.
Uncle Sam, thank u 4ever for uploading this, though how sad Chris looks and the whole situation is... 😢 R.I.P., Chris: thank u for influencing my music n bringing me memories...
thanks so much for posting. He didn't do this when we saw him in Jacksonville 2 weeks ago. Just trying to put some sense to this whole thing. It is great you recorded this... I've seen him twice for during the Higher Truth tour and then 2 weeks ago with Soundgarden. So very sad...
I love how deeply sick people just LOVE to take to the internet and mock and make jokes about people who have died. The internet and the world are darker and more disgusting because of fecal stains like you.
check out the 2:56 mark and he is clearly crying out in pain.So sad, Praying for his family. You are forever in my heart as your music helped me through some of the most difficult times in my youth. RIP Chris :(
He does look very tired and is moving slower than normal, like he has no energy or he is depressed. He will be missed...hopefully he is with his friend Andy Wood now, if there is an afterlife...
TokyoBlue you are 100 correct. Something was clearly wrong here. I don't blame him for anything. If he believed he had to go then God let him be at peace now 😪🙏
This song and the added 'In My Time of Dying' choice for the closing of the show makes one wonder if Chris knew exactly what he was going to do an hour later. Too sad. Love you Chris.
He knew he was going to kill himself. He was heartbroken. He caught his wife in the most wicked of lies! It broke his heart. He had had enough. She tricked him in to marriage. The truth is coming out soon enough. Chris will have the last word! There is plenty of evidence that this is what pushed him over the edge. Narcissism and greed completely destroyed his heart.
Eddie Trunk said he supposedly adlibbed some Led Zeppelin lyrics from the song " In My Dying Time" into this being it was his last song he would sing..... with the words of Slaves and Bulldozers which are pretty serious mixed with the words In my time of dying I want no one to mourn. Could have been his true farewell
It certainly looks that way, unfortunately. Would be interesting to find out if there is any other instances of him closing a concert with the "In My Time of Dying" ad-libs before and, completely tangential, but my mind thinks of Jeff Buckley who was last seen walking into the Mississippi River singing "Whole Lotta Love"
I can't tell, but does this clip have the part where they go into In My Time of Dying? I can't really tell at times if he's actually singing the Slaves and Bulldozers lyrics, or if he's throwing in the lyrics to In My Time of Dying.
Literally speechless, found out about this from a stupid fucking instagram post of him and some fans drawn like Simpsons. Just absolutely nutty, the last dude I'd ever have expected to off himself, especially so unannounced and without any signs (at least from what I can gather).
This has to be the best song they ever recorded. So sad. RIP Chris.

"I'm looking California and feeling Minnesota".
*RIP Chris Cornell*.
Last song he ever sang, and he gave it welly. What a fucking legend.
You can see how hard it is for him to even be there. it hurts to watch this. So much talent.
I'm going to miss this voice so much. His voice and music helped me through so much. If it was a suicide I hope he is finally at peace and no longer suffering. RIP and God Bless his family and friends.
I woke up with my radio alarm playing a Soundgarden song...then later that day I found out he had died. My heart literally hurt when I read that news.
RIP Chris Cornell, thank you for all of your music.

Chris was in his prime all his career!
Last night this rocked! Now our worlds are rocked this morning
Saw him 2 weeks ago at Carolina Rebellion was litterally 20 feet away, 1 row of people back. first and only time i will ever see him perform. Got the ticket for free at the gate too. Must of been fate.

I am heartsick over this. This mans music is a part of my musical soul.. I feel like the words to my favorite song have been taken away..
great walk into the sunset for such a bright light. Gone 52 years too soon.

It’s so hard to watch him struggle here knowing he wasn’t far away from Heaven yet I come back almost wishing I could reach in this video & save him 💔
Dammit I miss you more today than I did yesterday!!! Your beautiful soul and voice will always be remembered!!! Love you always CC
When I was in college I had a line from this song copied and stuck to my laptop because it was so influential to me. Now when he's gone it feels like someone from our family has taken away. Thank You for Your warmth that You had been giving to us Man. RIP Genius-Chris.
Thank you for posting this
Just keep coming back and watching this....total head scratchier. Rest easy Tall Dark Night
He doesn't look like he's feeling too well. Hard to believe that he would never see the light of day at the time this was recorded.
Here's to all the people who criticize recording in concerts.. history being made
RIP
Luciano C. R. stfu
(EDIT)
I don't do it(recording)
wtf why should I be ashamed? I didn't disrespect him, I am his fan lol, miss him deeply man

thanks so much for posting. He didn't do this when we saw him in Jacksonville 2 weeks ago. Just trying to put some sense to this whole thing. It is great you recorded this... I've seen him twice for during the Higher Truth tour and then 2 weeks ago with Soundgarden. So very sad...

@Kaustuv Sarkar Of course I will.
Last song sung by Chris, so damn sad!
Shame a callous fuck like you is still sucking air instead of Cornell.
The Good Guy - at that moment, he was fighting a battle we'll never know. I'm not so sure sounding perfect was on his mind.
we dont know, he might of sang the wheels on the bus to himself after the show.
Hilarious. :)
I love how deeply sick people just LOVE to take to the internet and mock and make jokes about people who have died. The internet and the world are darker and more disgusting because of fecal stains like you.
They totally slayed it the last song -Love You Chris!!
Thank you so much! Uncle Sam - Alive in Detroit
check out the 2:56 mark and he is clearly crying out in pain.So sad, Praying for his family. You are forever in my heart as your music helped me through some of the most difficult times in my youth. RIP Chris :(
Is for Vicky . she's evil and betrayed him!!!!
This is so painful to watch, knowing what happened next. He really looks unhealthy, tired and depressed. RIP Chris
Across Yourself I agree. Very painful. when did he decide? it's just so tragic. He was so cool when interviewed. loved his music.
Across Yourself he was NOT DEPRESSED at such nowadays ... don't buy the Mainstream NARRATIVE, QUESTION IT INSTEAD!
He does look very tired and is moving slower than normal, like he has no energy or he is depressed. He will be missed...hopefully he is with his friend Andy Wood now, if there is an afterlife...
So eerie at the end the guy says I think he's going downhill
TokyoBlue you are 100 correct. Something was clearly wrong here. I don't blame him for anything. If he believed he had to go then God let him be at peace now 😪🙏
Its so sad to watch him at this final concert. You can tell something wasn’t right. RIP to another legend gone too soon.
Big thanks to Uncle Sam for recording this show
a real uncle of the US government..?
Thank you for funding this operation, Uncle Sam... Poor Chris. :\
R.I.P Chris, your music will live on forever.
This song and the added 'In My Time of Dying' choice for the closing of the show makes one wonder if Chris knew exactly what he was going to do an hour later. Too sad. Love you Chris.

So, so sad... RIP Chris. :(

Year later...still hurts.
I'm honestly surprised that no one in the band noticed how his vocals were off and he was just kind of "floating"
He left a billion of orfans
I do believe this is the last song Chis Cornell ever played and sang, Damn.RIP, and Thanks !
...and remember, death, is not the end...
6:10 A legend left us
Very sad and amazing musician

"I'm feel sorry for the next city".
Rip Chris.
He knew he was going to kill himself. He was heartbroken. He caught his wife in the most wicked of lies! It broke his heart. He had had enough. She tricked him in to marriage. gotta be tough giving it all away night after night -I'd be exhausted but yet Chris found the energy to belted it out even on the last song
I was there. Still in shock...
RIP Chris. In My Time Of Dying..

Thanks you for posting..... I am so fucking sad.
This is such a fucking amazing performance. And to think I'll never see him live now :'(
Worst birthday gift...
I can't tell, but does this clip have the part where they go into In My Time of Dying? I can't really tell at times if he's actually singing the Slaves and Bulldozers lyrics, or if he's throwing in the lyrics to In My Time of Dying.
Yeah, I'm not hearing it.
This clip ends SECONDS before they include IMToD. There's another clip online that has the whole song. I think it's titled "Last Soundgarden song".
Cygnus111 Is it on RUclips?
kingkeefage I posted a link to it in an earlier reply to you... did it not show up?
kingkeefage yes, on RUclips. search that phrase on RUclips and you'll get it. clear as day, around the 6 minute mark. You can't miss it.
One of my biggest regrets is not buying tickets to this show. I lived a half a mile away from where he died...
At least we got the original Soundgarden formation before it happened. Now I envy who was in this concert.
Literally speechless, found out about this from a stupid fucking instagram post of him and some fans drawn like Simpsons. Just absolutely nutty, the last dude I'd ever have expected to off himself, especially so unannounced and without any signs (at least from what I can gather).
