Hopefully you can pick and choose where to place and cut material otherwise there is a lot of wasted paper...for now I think I will stick with what I have
I have been trying to figure out what book you are using... or just how to find books like that but I'm having no luck. Searches for paper crafting books only bring up books on how to... any way you can tell me how to find books with nice graphics like that to play with?
What if I just want to cut the outside of the flower without cutting the inside? I have been struggling to do that till this day. The scanner just can't scan properly. Sometimes it picked up the inside lines where I don't want it to. Sometimes it doesn't pick up anything or went crooked.
one problem with the brother machine in Canada that is that the machine is only sold in stores that will also carry the brother sewing machine products so scrapbook stores are not able to carry the machine unless they are also willing to carry the brother sewing machine. It limits where brother markets these machines and their availability is limited to only sewing stores. I believe this is a bad marketing move with brother as these machines would be sold in greater numbers if paper crafting stores would be allowed to only carry the scanncut product along with other paper crafting supplies. Brother claims it is to be used mainly for cloth and not for paper which is the excuse that paper craft stores are told when trying to aquire a license to sell these machines. They are a great product, it is too bad that the distribution is limited to sewing centers.
How do you scan that book’s flower picture into the scanning machine? You would have to remove the page from the book to print a copy onto printing paper, then run that through the scan n cut to save the image? Is there a way to save book’s image without damaging the book? I am serious, i am new to scanncut & cannot figure how to save images I see that wont ruin a book. I can tear up a color book, but not a book of photos.
Hi, I need to cut a name but not letter by letter. I need to cut the whole name around it. I read the manual twice but can't find the instructions. Do you have a vídeo showing how to make it or would you please just reply my comment? It would help me a lot. I turned on the machine, type the name I wanted but after this... I don't know what to do!
Nay Owe you can cut through the mat. You can determine the best blade setting by holding your blade up to your material. You want the blade depth to be just a hair past your fabric. Do a test cut before cutting out your design and check to make sure it doesn't scratch into your mat but it still cuts your material.
Por favor necesito información, vivo en México pero puedo viajar a Estados Unidos, me podrían decir en que lugar puedo adquirir esta maravilla en el valle del sur de Texas!! Gracias!!!
can you please provide more details on how the image was scanned from the beginning....i notice the mat is different than the cutting mat. please start from the very beginning.
It cuts the individual petals of each flower, so the cutout they showed us was just one of the petals-so it looked like a tulip. If she pressed out the remaining petals and put them together it would look like the flower from the picture.
I would really love one of these but there does appear to be a lot of wastage. To cut a flower out of the centre of a 12x12 piece of paper seems to be an extravagant waste of paper. Am I correct in assuming what we see in this video is only for promotional purposes and you can "place" the image where ever you want on a grid?
+Antonio D you can cut any were on the fabric /paper any size up to 12x12 or 12x24 its a great machine worth every penny if you craft or make things perfect for schools or a business you can even cut vinyl to do finger nail art you can scan your own art work in and cut it out it also draws
Hurts my soul that "craft veteran" cuts IN THE MIDDLE of the paper!
This video was straight to the point unlike many others who are 30mins or so long...thanks!
Thank you for simple very easy to follow instructions.
Most instructors speak too fast & move through steps too fast.
Thank you, thank you!
Hopefully you can pick and choose where to place and cut material otherwise there is a lot of wasted paper...for now I think I will stick with what I have
Barbara McKenney I have one you can no waste at all 😘

I have seen books like that at Tuesday Morning. Usually near the craft section. They are pretty inexpensive there. Good luck!
Absolutely amazing machine!
how often do you have to change mats and blades when cutting paper or fabric?

wouldnt there be a few copyright issues if you are copying and using any image?
For personal use, I wouldn't worry.
Do you need to have a separate scan mat from the cut mat?
2 sizes here in CA and ranges from $399.00 to 499.00
Hi been trying that but it still cutting into the design even I have tried different settings

Is there anyway to accidently cut through the mat or is it smart enough to recognize the depth? (In the case I use the wrong blade setting)

can you please provide more details on how the image was scanned from the beginning....i notice the mat is different than the cutting mat. please start from the very beginning.
Awesome
Nice
You are wasting a lot of paper here though ! can it be perfected to use only what is needed in one section of the sheet 1
I agree, but I appreciate the way it kept it simple.
Didn't anyone notice that a multi petalled flower was scanned but a tulip was cut out?
It cuts the individual petals of each flower, so the cutout they showed us was just one of the petals-so it looked like a tulip. If she pressed out the remaining petals and put them together it would look like the flower from the picture.
The "tulip" is one petal of 4... she specifically says there are 3 more petals on the page.
That was cool... And I'm so very macho-man

Hi Debbie; you can place your image where ever you want..... no wast at all!
Marlene
You can scan in your paper you wish to use, move your image onto the paper, or any where you want it, to conserve paper waste!
What do you mean when you say "you pulled it from the book"?
she means that she printed it onto paper from a design book
woww that's a lot of money € 599,00. I prefer the Silhouette Cameo
'Buy'
shit, this thing is $500
You sound very poor
looks like you will waste a lot of materiel just for something small unless you can pick where to cut on the fabric.
+Antonio D you can cut any were on the fabric /paper any size up to 12x12 or 12x24 its a great machine worth every penny if you craft or make things perfect for schools or a business you can even cut vinyl to do finger nail art you can scan your own art work in and cut it out it also draws
+hollowayhandbag I had got the Cricut. We didn't like it so I bought a professional cutter by GCC instead. This way it will allow us to do big cuts.
"Cut...any...magazine...image" Wow, encouraging copyright infringement. THIEF!
It's not copyright infringement if it's for personal use.
