Crazy, usually everything in the states is half the price that we can buy it for here👍🍻 great to hear from you mate. You're in for massive changes over there as we will be here. Eyes open, no fear🍻
Hey mate, turbo going great Had a mild oil leak on the sump return line but easy fix Crazy difference to the power and only running 11lb boost set by the Berrimah boys 80 just ticked over 300,000 Running beautifully All the best mateCheers Brian
Hi mate, awesome! Haven't had to touch anything. Power is on point. No oil leaks. No hose leaks. Just a literal set and forget upgrade. Totally worth the drive from sunny coast to Berrima to deal with these guys. Would do it all again in a heart beat. These motors are in my humble opinion, are dangerously underpowered, especially to tow, without a turbo. Many turbo guys also wind the psi up too much and crank up the fuel pumps causing the piston tops to literally blow off from the heat in these hzj80 engine's. The Berrima team know the safe parameters to run these upgrades. Oh, also I get no kick backs for anything I say about these guys. They are just honest and sport great products and have heaps of knowelage. Hope this helps. Cheers mate, Brian 🍻👍
@@LandTourierThanks Brian and merry Christmas! I have a hzj105 that I keep light but I'm always on the fence about turboing it. Glad to hear your feedback and that you've had such a great experience with your car and Berrima diesel. There's a lot of horror stories with the 1hz and turbos but there's also a lot of people like yourself that seem to have had them for yonks without issue. Anywho - I hope you enjoy your travels and that the new year is good to you.
Brian, the 1HZ lasts forever, mainly because that's how long it takes to get anywhere. Under stressed was Toyotas goal. The turbo improves drivability quite nicely.
It appears you had yours done about a week after I had my 80 series done. They do a good job. Im about to upgrade to a heavier camper which would not have been possible without the turbo. I've also just had to overhaul the cooling system, seems 13 years is all you get out of a radiator, fan clutch and thermostat before they organise a synchronised failure, yes all 3 were not up to scratch, the tune wasn't the issue. No cooling issues since. Happy travels
Awesome mate, and great to hear about the cooling system. Just went up the Toowoomba range yesterday and redlined the temp. Might also be in for an upgrade. Cheers my friend 👍🍻 Brian
Berrima Diesel claim to be experts in their field. I write this review in utter disappointment and disgust at the service and workmanship that Berrima Diesel claim to provide. I write this review with a warning to people looking to book Berrima Diesel...DO NOT! You will have your money taken with their claim of expertise and be very disappointed with the outcome. You will then raise your concerns and be gaslit. I will be branded disgruntled etc but somebody needs to hold these 'experts' to account.
Hey mate. Yes I've herd several people have complaints about them. I personally had a good experience with them and the result that was achieved was better than my expectations. I did have an oil leak from the sump oil return, but I fixed it no problem because it was a 1000klms to take it back. I did ring them and told them the issue and they were very grateful that I could repair it. Sorry to hear you were not happy mate. All the best Cheers Brian
I still own one 94 with Dual Tanks and only 38000kms originally driven same color I Love it to this day it was my Dad’s and now mine Love it to this day
4200 aud is a steal. Wish I could get that in the states

@@LandTourier Start with the thermostat, cheapest part, then the fan hub , then the radiator. Cheers
