  • I often recommend using Titebond III Wood Glue for theater masks, because it dries fast and it creates a very strong mask. But it is expensive, so I did a side-by-side comparison, using the glue for the baby Simba mask, and the cooked flour and water paste for the lioness mask. In this video, you can see the difference between the two methods, and choose the one that will work best for your project.
🦁 I recently redesigned the Lion King Jr. lion mask patterns to make them faster to put together. The finished masks look the same as the original patterns, but they now have numbers on all the edges, and that makes them easier to use. If you haven't seen the Lion King Jr. headdress patterns yet, you can find them here: www.ultimatepapermache.com/Li...
You can see how to make the cooked flour and water paste here: • Cooked Flour And Water...
You can find Titebond III wood glue at any hardware or DIY store, or on amazon.com here: amzn.to/3y3HRuS (affiliate link)
I used about 4 oz. of the glue for baby Simba. The adult lions would need more glue. I didn't add water, but if you do, use 10% or less. One batch of the cooked flour and water paste wasn't quite enough to completely cover the lioness mask (Surabi and adult Nala), and I had to mix up a bit more. It only takes a few minutes, so it really wasn't a big deal.
If you make a Lion King Jr mask (or any other paper mache mask or sculpture) be sure to visit my website and show it off. We'd love to see it. 😊 www.ultimatepapermache.com/da...

Always interesting and always informative. You are such a scientist. It is a little windy but warm, so I think I am going to take the boys to the dog park. It is always good to see you. Yesterday I saw a life size bison sculpture made out of steel. The artist done a great job; so life like.
