Does y'all s23 ultra battery drain by itself in the night or when not in use ? I lost over 10% every night , even when i close all background apps and use battery optimization
Definitely 45w. It is the time to 75% that matters more than the time to 100% for me. I use my 45w at work for quick bursts in batter life and my 25w at home when charging to 100%. It is so much faster for picking up a quick 30% to 50% battery. Just my 2 cents. My understanding is that the throttle point to save battery is around 80%, that's why the 25w caught up. Great video showing the time Stamps, though.
@@dzuydragon fast charging isn't bad for your battery anymore. It used to have some adverse effects, but most companies have figured out how to reduce the heat involved. Even Oneplus with their 125W fast chargers figured out how to have less battery degradation than the iPhone
I have the Ugreen 65w foldable charger and the Ugreen 130w car charger. I want to charge my phone to and from work. The majority of the time, the phone is not below 50%, and almost never below 40% in my case. The 45w capability comes in handy as I can charge my S23 Ultra back to 85% in less than 20 minutes whilst I drive to work. For me, 45w is the winner.
I bought 5A cable (with an LED) with an Anker 313 45w Charger, but honestly, it is much faster than the 25w I had. It is very smart as it is very fast when the phone is near to empty and slows down when phone is above 60%. When the Phone is fully charged, it goes to 1W charge speed.
@romantashev it varies. When your phone's battery is drained, it charges faster (43-45 W), when you get to 60% battery charge, it comes down to 35-25. As it is almost fully charged, it shows around 15 W of charging speed. This is done to protect the battery with adaptative charging while making sure you can have more juice when needed. Ans yes, I have also noticed a charging routine. During the day it charges way faster than the night when It's my usual sleep time. Very smart charging 👌
45 is definitely worth it. Using a fast charger is really about getting that first 50% or so back. I'll just use wireless for my overnight/100% charge.

Thank you so much for the amazing video . I was thinking that if 25W takes one hour then 45 watt would take 30 mins but I was wrong! I was planning to buy a 45W charger though I had 25W charger for this reason. Here in the UK it costs around 44 pounds for 45 W charger whereas in my country original charger costs will be around 12 or 15 pounds only. This video saved my money. Thank You So Much Once Again
45 watt is not worth the hype, I got the 25W without cable as cable was already provided in the box, but with 45W you have to pay extra for cable as well as charger as out of the box cable is of no use for 45 Watt. I don't understand why would one pay 3 times more the price for something non practical.
Absolutely this is not 45W charging. S23 DOES NOT use more than 25-30W on 45W charger. I see people in comments are so ignorant. Do your homework guys. Learn about Voltage and Amps. FYI The original supplied cable is 3 Amps, not 5 Amps.
@@carver9312 he has used I think I am using a Belkin 65W PD charger which I purchased for $45 with the stock cable and it charges at the same speed as a 25W adapter 💀🥲
Since I use the protect battery option, which keeps the max charge at 85%, 0-100% doesn't matter, but the first 30 mins definitely make a difference. Did you do a test with a 100W cable or the cable that came in the package, which I think is the 60W cable?
45-watts done the Samsung way is not really fast charging, just faster charging for some of the time. So for a quick top-up it is better than the 25-watt charger, but overall, versus what China is doing, all rather tepid and underwhelming. I suspect Samsung does the 45-watt for marketing so fans can feel they are getting better tech. Sadly, the reality is that Samsung has poor fast charging versus all the Chinese brands. Apple and Google are also behind the curve, even more so, but we are talking about a £1400 phone called the "Ultra" so it is rather disappointing. For those that say they do not need it, well you can have it and still charge slowly, but the feature is added value and shocking that Samsung, Apple and Google are so far behind.
It's very typical of the big house name brands to innovate less and less these days because they simply don't have to. They already have the market share and know what they're bringing to the table. These lesser brands have to bring something different, or they wouldn't be taken seriously at all. But honestly, the battery in my S23 Ultra lasts me all day easily with plenty to spare and I consider myself a pretty heavy user. On the average weekday I usually unplug fully charged at 6:30AM. By the time I plug my phone back in around 11PM I still have around 30%. That's with the usual 5~ hours of screen time for a weekday (social media, RUclips, music/podcasts, web browsing, etc.) I can easily get 8+ hours of screen time and heavy usage before the phone dies. That being said, I'm still using the "warp" charger that came with my old OnePlus N10 which I've found only charges OnePlus devices at the advertised 30W. My S23 Ultra only charges at 10W with it. I'm about to purchase a 150W GaN charger to charge my gaming laptop when I'm not gaming and don't need full power, so I don't have to tote around the bulky 330W charger it comes with, which will have the added benefit of fast charging my phone. But, if I didn't need that I would just deal with the slow charge because the battery is so good, I don't ever find I need to quickly top off my phone. But I agree that when you're paying this much for a device that's supposed to be the best and have everything, it would have been nice to see some higher numbers. But I still wouldn't go with a different brand.
@@joshallis0n yes that is all true. With the new chips the s23u should get 95% of users through a day. The real fast charging from China is nice to have in case you forget to charge but as you say now we have the SD8G2 not as important.
@@joshallis0n Ehat Chinese phones charger faster than Samsung and have longer battery life?? None, and none of them are more innovative. Not even close mate.
Oh but I'm sure the chinese phone makers are thinking about longevity right? I've had numerous chinese phones that were all better on paper, but don't even last 2 years. Meanwhile, I'm buying this expensive phone with "older technology" than Chinese phones, yet it can last me 5 years comfortable.
Chinese mobiles superiority is just on the paper , as their mobiles with 80w and 125 w can't even maitaom battery health for 1.5 yrs. If it's about innovation, in my point of view atleast providing good battery life with least maH of battery possible is better like what apple mostly does and to some extent even samsung ( as it's sustainable, by talking about sustainability I won't support their move of removing chargers)
If you're the kind of person that's coming and going a lot, and a half hour is all you got, then definitely get the 45w. That 70% - 50% difference is where's at. If you're always charging to full there's not much senses into saving the ten minutes for the price difference.
Long story short, if you're using the battery protection feature, on 45w it will take 35 min to charge to 80%, on 25w it will take 45 min to 80%. So it's really not an issue. Edit: stamps are on point! Great video.
I use a bases 65w charger and it does the job. I have my S23 under protection so i only charge it to 85% and its round the the same time or slightly less. Thanks for the look, it was good as usual.
that is absolutely what i want for overnight i use "slow" charging wireless as i really have no rush for fast top-up i use fast charging as it's for special cases where i forgot to charge, going out for more than I was expecting or when i was not expecting it, etc i charge until 85% as that is more than enough until i go to bed again (would be enough until the next day if i forget also) so then i only go a minimum 35% over the day and then charge it overnight until 85% i agree that i would of wanted for the thing to work at that speed for the whole duration (on Huawei the charger heats up, not the phone as it's same voltage, just more amps
Most people needs a juice-up from 15-20% and what they can get during the next 10-20 minutes. If I can get 40% during 10 minutes vs 26% I'm deff buying the 45W
45 watt is worth it all the speed happens in the beginning after halfway they both get the same watts. Samsung has 85% limit app on the battery which you should be using anyways. 85-100 is irrelevant. It destroys the battery. I only charge to 100 percent when I'm using public transport all day.
Well it's true that Samsung flagship supports 45w but the Samsung itself doesn't want you to charge it at 45w. That's the main thing that they even don't include 5A cable inside the box instead of 3A.
Your content is great and you are creative. You present different new videos and simulate what is in the mind of phone users. Thank you for repeating this experience so that others know the difference between the charger 25 and 45 watts, and is it like last year with s22 ultra
I have a s23U and the official samsung 45w EP-T4510 charger. It doesn't charge any faster than my 25w charger and I can't figure out why. I do use a 5A cable, and I have a volt/Ampere meter and the charger does charge at 45w.. then after a while it drops to 15w... rise back again at 45w.. then after a while back at 15w... from 1% to 100% the fastest it ever charged was at around 1 hour and 20 minutes... Does any one else have any similar issue to this??? I am going nuts...
If you've got time, it makes no difference. But if you're pressed for time, say you forgot to charge just before you head out the door and only have 15-30 min, then you'll get more out of 45W. Horses for courses.
May I know what were your ambient temps during this test? I am unable to get 70% charge within 30mins. Charging speeds get throttle down so hard once it hits 37c battery temps
Does it ruin the battery life that using anker 45w with the cable comes out from the s23 ultra box which is i think 60w 3a ? And will it work like 25w with that cable?
This make benefit only if ur phone is dead and u have only a few min to charge it up like 10 mint or 15 min... u get mouch more with 45w but if u have anough time for a full charge its make no diferents

I still think it's wrong that phone manufacturers are able to sell their handsets without the charger. Fortunately I bought my Xperia I IV charger with the USB cable via eBay for £18 instead of the silly RRP £50 that Sony wanted
When using a 45 watt charger... did you notice a rise in the temperature of the charger and something in the device ? And is this normal or not ?? Thank you
The only disappointment of this phone for me, I feel like the charging is so slow. My phone usually charges fully in about 70 minutes using 45w. My old S20U even charged faster, it took 60 minutes and that is a 3 years older device. Samsung really have to step up their charging game. My Oneplus fully charges in less half of the time of the S23U (and there is no heating issue or battery degradation).
@@LoverOfTech I guess that's relative, but for people that are used to faster charging phones. it really feels slow. Sure, it could be much worse like the iPhone or Pixel.

most phone companies figured out how to reduce heat and make fast charging safer for your battery. It's super safe to use it these days. What's worse for your battery is leaving it at 100% overnight. If you're using the S22 ultra and up, set up a scheduled task on your phone to limit your charging to 85% until 30 minutes before you wake up, then set it to allow to charge to 100% after that. Your phone will hit 100% the moment you wake up
Most people think they brought original 45w charger but they end up getting fake one thats why. Also cable quality matters. The default cable that comes inside s23 ultra box does not even support full 45w charging speeds
What the tuberz aren't saying is.... It does not matter unless the phone does it.. You don't NEED a 45w charger for a phone that can ONLY charge...UP TO......25w. also...at a certain point in the "super ultra mega fast" charging the phone STOPS ultra super mega fast charging and goes into a trickle charge.... But saying that, does not make a video great... Lol
After 30 min mark put 45w charger and phone into freezer on ice for 10-15 seconds and boom you will finish 100% charging in 15-20 minutes only It slow down because of heat only i think
Spigen cases are pretty good. I have to have a kickstand on my case because i watch youtube or shows most of the time I eat and its worked perfectly. Also I have never damaged a phone even slightly while dropping them dozens of times over the years. Its a perfect case as far as i'm concerned. I wish more cases had kickstands on them. Makes my choices pretty limited
My thing is if it was ahead let's say 16% the 45w is slowing down. How is the 25w catching up. Unless the 45w slows down to counter the extra heat it took
@LoverOfTech starting at 2:27 it looks like it sat at 1% until you touched the cable or the phone 3 minutes into the test. Not saying the test was wrong, but is there a compatibility issue with the Ultra and 45w charger?
Can anyone answer? Thanks in advance. I have a 65w adapter and 5A cable. I use them to charge my S23 Ultra. It says "Super Fast Charging" only and not "Super Fast Charging 2.0." It has a pop-up blue color and not green, and almost like 2.0 in charging speed. Does that mean even if it doesn't say 2.0, it's actually SFC 2.0 and not the ordinary SFC? Thanks!
There are a few things that Samsung do to push you to use there chargers. I have a 100W charger yet because its not from Samsung directly it charges at a maximum of 25w not the full 45w. So frustrating... This only happenes on there phones.
I have 65w baseus with 5a cable and it says super fast 2.0 but according to accu battery I only get 30w of charging speed and then dropping fast to about 25w. It is the same with original Samsung charger ? Does anyone seen actually charging speed above 40w ?
@venox48 I have the Anker 735 that dose do sfc 2.0, max I've seen is 43W but only when the battery is around 20% If the phone is hot from use the charging speed will slow down.

Your 45W charger is working at 25W. It is not 45W. Don't judge it by the time. real 45W power will cut the time in half.

Does y'all s23 ultra battery drain by itself in the night or when not in use ?
I lost over 10% every night , even when i close all background apps and use battery optimization
Yes!! I also had the same problem!!
Same here
At night, Put in airplane mode (leave wifi if you wish). It should improve a lot!
But 25w is not bad for ur battery?
I don't think those support Samsung 2.0 45w charging.
Do you have a link from the Cable?
How many wats shows on lcd display during charging?

My other phone charges from 0% to 100% in 9 minutes it isn't a flagship phone so the fact that I own this phone and it takes over an hour to charge just what it's just gobsmacking really Samsung need to do better this is a 2,000 pound handset it's not an 11t Pro for 300 quid and yet that phone absolutely cripples this for battery in every way

@@elixier33 Ok just ask urself that even if your other phone charges from 0-100 in 9 minutes, you're still looking at a Samsung phone.
Yeah, cuz your other phone probably wouldn't last as long as a Samsung one.
@M-T I have had many phones over the years. Samsung makes quality handsets but they are just so expensive. I have moved to s23 ultra but charging is just too slow.
FYI The original supplied cable is 3 Amps, not 5 Amps.
could you explain further? he's not using the supplied cable i believe, and since it shows superfast chargin 2.0, it is 45w
The 5 amps cable is sold with the charger
3Amp is providing by Samsung ultra. If you want to purchase 45W adapter you will get 5amp cable.
Sad part is that to we don't get a 5A cable out of the box so need to purchase the adapter as well as a cable to actually use 45W🥲
Facts bro
Wish he would've used the 5A charger here.
@@carver9312 he has used I think
I am using a Belkin 65W PD charger which I purchased for $45 with the stock cable and it charges at the same speed as a 25W adapter 💀🥲
What the cable that comes in the box is 5a haha
samsung is giving 1.8m length 5A cable with Tablets but not phones
Since I use the protect battery option, which keeps the max charge at 85%, 0-100% doesn't matter, but the first 30 mins definitely make a difference. Did you do a test with a 100W cable or the cable that came in the package, which I think is the 60W cable?
The original cable is not even capable for 45 watt u must buy an extra cable and a 45watt charger and actualy u need a 5A usb-c cable
That's with the usual 5~ hours of screen time for a weekday (social media, RUclips, music/podcasts, web browsing, etc.)
I can easily get 8+ hours of screen time and heavy usage before the phone dies.
Charging to 100% daily would also affect battery capacity over time. Batteries don't like being at full charge and high temperatures constantly.
Long story short, if you're using the battery protection feature, on 45w it will take 35 min to charge to 80%, on 25w it will take 45 min to 80%. So it's really not an issue.
Edit: stamps are on point! Great video.
I charge to 85% and do top ups. With this in mind 45w might be worth it.
Probably wouldn't bother if I was charging to 100% or overnight.
I think that's its main usage. If I'm doing overnight I do the slowest charge anyways
I use a bases 65w charger and it does the job. I have my S23 under protection so i only charge it to 85% and its round the the same time or slightly less. Thanks for the look, it was good as usual.
that is absolutely what i want
for overnight i use "slow" charging wireless as i really have no rush
for fast top-up i use fast charging as it's for special cases where i forgot to charge, going out for more than I was expecting or when i was not expecting it, etc
i charge until 85% as that is more than enough until i go to bed again (would be enough until the next day if i forget also) so then i only go a minimum 35% over the day and then charge it overnight until 85%
i agree that i would of wanted for the thing to work at that speed for the whole duration (on Huawei the charger heats up, not the phone as it's same voltage, just more amps
After 80% of the battery the 45w charger also work like 25w because of batteries safety measures
I just bought the Anker 313 Ace 45W. It's cheaper, more compact, and foldable as well. They have 20% discount and with that It costs only $24
Well it's true that Samsung flagship supports 45w but the Samsung itself doesn't want you to charge it at 45w. That's the main thing that they even don't include 5A cable inside the box instead of 3A.
my cable supports 45w with no issue so i guess it depends
Your content is great and you are creative. You present different new videos and simulate what is in the mind of phone users. Thank you for repeating this experience so that others know the difference between the charger 25 and 45 watts, and is it like last year with s22 ultra

@LoverOfTech why doesn't my s23+ say fast charging or super fast? I have the 45w charging box. Ty
Would anyone mind telling me what is the max charging speed the cable in the box supports?
I have a s23U and the official samsung 45w EP-T4510 charger. It doesn't charge any faster than my 25w charger and I can't figure out why. I do use a 5A cable, and I have a volt/Ampere meter and the charger does charge at 45w.. then after a while it drops to 15w... rise back again at 45w.. then after a while back at 15w... from 1% to 100% the fastest it ever charged was at around 1 hour and 20 minutes... Does any one else have any similar issue to this??? I am going nuts...
Not sure
If you've got time, it makes no difference. But if you're pressed for time, say you forgot to charge just before you head out the door and only have 15-30 min, then you'll get more out of 45W. Horses for courses.
Definitely a good point
Great video man yea I got the 45 love it. Had my Samsung for a week and love it omg its a beast
Weird thing is I purchased a 45w brick with PPS, which Samsung uses but my s23 plus never goes above 23w during charging.
May I know what were your ambient temps during this test? I am unable to get 70% charge within 30mins. Charging speeds get throttle down so hard once it hits 37c battery temps
85% in 40 mins in 45-watt charger
85% limit is good for long battery life generally I use
Now I know why my phone takes forever to charge even with 45w 😂. The 45w is only 45 w at 0% and gradually decreases as your phone charges
it actually starts decreasing around 70% and by 90% it could go slower than the 25W one as it already heated up
Great Video, but what happen to your Mic bro? You Sound Sibilant (Sounded like your under water talking).
It means we must pay $35 more to get 10 minutes faster charging 😂

The most important difference is in 20% to 80% range. When you're in a hurry this really matter.
Does it ruin the battery life that using anker 45w with the cable comes out from the s23 ultra box which is i think 60w 3a ? And will it work like 25w with that cable?
The cable will bottleneck it, no difference than using a 25w charger
A Anker 735 65w with 100w usb cable and the phone off will charge faster.
If the phone is kept cool and out of its case charge speeds increase.
This make benefit only if ur phone is dead and u have only a few min to charge it up like 10 mint or 15 min... u get mouch more with 45w but if u have anough time for a full charge its make no diferents
Would be interesting to see the temps as well.

Hello, it seems that after I got the phone the 45W charging has become really slow.
I still think it's wrong that phone manufacturers are able to sell their handsets without the charger.

The charging speeds are fine enough. So slow is taking 2 hours or more to charge to full
@@LoverOfTech I guess that's relative, but for people that are used to faster charging phones. it really feels slow. Sure, it could be much worse like the iPhone or Pixel.

Can we charge 45 volt with in box charger wire
Hm, I"m only one who think the 18W charging is enough and do not destroy/degenerate your battery? It is fast and not generate extra heat. I'm useing S22 phone.
most phone companies figured out how to reduce heat and make fast charging safer for your battery. It's super safe to use it these days. What's worse for your battery is leaving it at 100% overnight. If you're using the S22 ultra and up, set up a scheduled task on your phone to limit your charging to 85% until 30 minutes before you wake up, then set it to allow to charge to 100% after that. Your phone will hit 100% the moment you wake up
Big difference when you charge to 85% to extend your battery life.
My s23 Ultra charges to 100% in under 45min on my 45w charger. Not sure why his is taking so long.
Most people think they brought original 45w charger but they end up getting fake one thats why.

After 30 min mark put 45w charger and phone into freezer on ice for 10-15 seconds and boom you will finish 100% charging in 15-20 minutes only

Certainly not much difference to be bothered with, will continue with 25W , are spigen phone cases good Quality ? What's Your Thoughts
Can anybody tell me the summary? I saw that 45w 25w charger are basically the same about the full time they consumed. Means no big diffrence. Right??
Pov: you still ise the old 15w on your s23 ultra😂 (me)
45W is worth, we ain't slow as apple and fast like 120W on xiaomi and these, 120W is way too fast for a smartphone, laptops also don't need this much
My thing is if it was ahead let's say 16% the 45w is slowing down. How is the 25w catching up. Unless the 45w slows down to counter the extra heat it took
why no links tyo buy it ?
Oh snap just realised 😅
Not sure why people are saying they're glad they watched it, and settled on 25w. This is a huge difference.
Imagine Xiaomi had 120w charge with 12 min 0-full 2 years ago
Why didn't the 45W start charging until 5 (I meant 3, not 5) minutes in when you tapped it?
Huh?
@LoverOfTech starting at 2:27 it looks like it sat at 1% until you touched the cable or the phone 3 minutes into the test. Not saying the test was wrong, but is there a compatibility issue with the Ultra and 45w charger?
I use 25 W. The difference is so small and the less power the better for the warm when charging.

With such a small difference there is no point. If it was like 25w and they bumped the new one to 65w then yes. But personally for someone that uses my phone heavily (4k rec and editing, taking and editing photos) that 1hr or so is a nice brake from the phone. If it fully charged in 30mins that would be a different story.
I think that the average person is going to find a lot of real world benefits with the 45W charger. 0-100% isn't what most people are looking for. For me, it's for the moments that your phone is at 10%, your friends invite you out at the last minute, and you need to get a decent charge by the time you're done getting ready. 10%-70% in 25 min makes that super convenient.
But you're right, 65W would have been great, but Samsung seems really scared about their batteries since the Note 7
Yes but you have buy the higher watt cord
