    I already ordered an 8T but wanted make sure I didn't make a mistake. Well, $700 price tag on S21 and no charger vs $550 price tag on 8T with 65W charger and good reviews helped me make my decision. And OnePlus announced that it will support its flag ships 3 years starting with model 8s.

    • @MTGProductions
      @MTGProductions  3 года назад +3

    • @d.shadocx9277
      @d.shadocx9277 3 года назад +2

      wireless charging is inefficient, that's why it takes very long even with faster ones, the energy spreads around the phone and doesn't go directly into the battery.
      A phone that is charging via 50W wireless charging will always take more time than one that is charging with 50W wired.

    • @keiz_
      @keiz_ 3 года назад

      Th one thing you do need to look out for is with charging that fast, your battery is going to degrade much faster, so do keep that in mind. If you are charging overnight, use a slower charger, and that will help the battery life.

    Hi there! On the camera comparison, left are the S21 photos and right the 8T photos, is that right? EDIT: ok, saw the pinned comment, that is correct! For me the 8T CRUSHED the S21 in these photos! That night shot, wow! The colours were also less saturated which I really like. I am deciding which one to get and leaning towards the 8T strongly :) I wanted an OP9 first but the 8T is price wise a lot cheaper right now and I don't need the 888 SoC since I don't do heavy duty tasks. @@vishnuvijwani in the last low light shot, the S21 probably had some grease or fingerprint on the lens.
      Samsung flagships doesn't perform this poorly at night.
      Overall OnePlus' cameras seems to keep having too much contrast, and wrong color saturation or white balance, the 8 Pro does better at avoiding these problems, but I hope the 9 series entirely fixes that with their new Sony sensors and Hasselblad partnership.

      Yeah, but with 8GB RAM you won't experience any flaws on the S21 either. OnePlus has always used this high RAM thing as a marketing strategy, and it's working apparently. If you're not a heavy mobile gamer and/or mobile photo/video editor, 8GB RAM is perfectly fine for multi-tasking and browsing.

    I came from a Samsung s10e to the OP 8T, while the 8T is a beast, I preferred the s10e overall, the cameras were great, sure the 8T is good with Gcam but you then don't get full support for all the cameras and modes. Battery on the 8T is amazing I have to say, never run out of juice and can even go 3 days without a charge and 6+ hours of SOT, where as the s10e needed a charge at least once a day and 3-4 hours of SOT. Having said all that, I'm debating whether to get a S21, better cameras, much better software support. The updates on the 8T have been awful, each update brings fresh bugs, the updates are slow, the Security updates are always behind. Just something about OneUI, much more polished.

      @@jxn5k They use to be known for them, not anymore, the 8T has been a disaster for updates (one update rendered it completely unusable for 3 weeks) , check the oneplus forum. Upto 2 weeks ago it was still on the November security patch, now it's only on the January patch. Samsung use to be known for poor updates, in the 2 years I owned the S10e it was 1st class for updates. Oneplus has had a lot of bad press since Carl Pei left. I think oneplus loses interest in their new phones within a few months of launch, now it's all about the Oneplus 9 family.

      Oneplus updates are very slow, the original Oneplus brand died a long time ago.

      I don't know what you are talking about..
      I can't speak for other Galaxy phones but I had s10e as my very first Samsung phone for a year and that to me is a piece of shit phone..
      I bought it because of being made by Samsung and the size of the phone..
      I traded in for OP 7Pro and the differences are like night and day..
      Now I'm using 8t for more than 4 months and it performs like a champ..

    Oneplus software is not ready yet to go against galaxy. I have had my 8t+5g for 4 months now but the software is more buggy than the galaxy halo i upgraded from.

    Just so you guys know, the OnePlus 8t doesn't have a music app, not even Google music was on the phone, so I had no way to play the music I had downloaded onto the phone, you have to install a third party app

    Feel like Android is falling further behind Apple despite being a good operating system. People just want a phone that works and simple to use . Google Pixel is the closest thing to Apple pure Android at its best with some nice features. Without a true companion smart watch like the Apple Watch I think it’s hurting Android devices. Samsung and the Galaxy watch is actually a solid choice which has a different operating system (Tizen) on the watch but works very well with Samsung devices. Android with so many different manufacturers and not one main device like Apple I think here in the States is one of the reasons why Apple is popular. Google has to find a way to become more seamless across platforms like Apple to attract more users. Purchasing Fitbit should be a big priority to integrate Android with Fitbit operating system to work together flawlessly if they can pulled that off it may attract more people to Android especially the Google Pixel. Just my opinion, I use both but it feel like if Android lose Samsung they are in trouble. Samsung not as exciting anymore because as of today the new Galaxy S21 is already on sale at Best Buy for $649. That’s not a good sign

    I was confused in both phones and ordered s21 and using nilkin's back cover .. so plastic back doesn't matter for me and it's light weight and display and camera is far better than 8t. 25w charging also enough for normal users. OS also improved a lot with much security. It's almost as smooth as 80% of OnePlus OS

    The s21 competitor should be op9, not the 8t. The 8t should compare with the s20 fe. I'll take the snapdragon 888 device with better performance and power efficiency

      The sd888 throttles more than the sd865 and with heavy usage the sd865 is faster

    Oneplus is dead now because it is one part of oppo, 8t is the last phone that made by real oneplus. The OnePlus's price, spirit, system & beast performance...all is gone😓

      One U.I. has gotten very nice, and because of all the features that you get in One U.I. that you don't in stock android, I would say that it's currently the best way to experience an android phone.
