    What's the best multiple extended monitor solution (at least 3) for the new Macbook Pro M3 Max chip?

    • @Plugable
      @Plugable  10 месяцев назад +1

      This video is primarily focused on M3 setups that have a limited number of supported native displays, such as the standard M3. Laptops that utilize the M3 max chip should be able to support up to three displays natively and there are many ways to achieve this. We do have a few options for extending two displays using Thunderbolt 3, but since Apple does not support MST, we do not have any products that extend up to 3 displays natively. If you wish to get more detailed information about your specific setup, please. contact us at Support@Plugable.com

    Is there a difference between Plugable UD-3900PDZ and UD-3900H-EU? Do they both work with the Macbook Pro M3?

    • @Plugable
      @Plugable  6 месяцев назад

      Hello there, thanks for reaching out. There are a few notable differences, but both will work for the MacBook Pro M3. The UD-3900PDZ allows for 3 displays (1920x1080) and offers power delivery to the host (provided the host is compatible). The UD-3900 allows for 2 displays (1920x1080) and does not have power delivery. The "EU" at the end indicates that it is for the EU region.

      Hello, Apple should make their own Thunderbolt adapter for their Thunderbolt Display. Generally I would recommend to reach out to Apple support for this specific display.

    does the TBT4-UDC still work for the m2 pro chip 2023 Sonoma 14 > I want to single thunderbolt host with duel BENQ GW2485TC and GW2785TC? (Lid-close)

      Thanks for the comment! The TBT4-UDZ should still be compatible on macOS 14 with the M2 Pro MacBook Pro to support up to 2x extended displays with the lid closed!

    Is there any lag for the second monitor? for say video editing or gaming?

    • @Plugable
      @Plugable  5 месяцев назад

      Thanks for reaching out. Yes, we expect there to be a delay in additional monitors when connected to a device such as the one seen here. We don't recommend our devices for graphically intensive applications such as editing/rendering, CAD, or gaming.

    I just recieved my UD-ULTC4K, and I can't wait to integrate it into my home recording studio. I hoping it all goes smoothly, and I can add a third display for video out of my Pro Tools system as well as my usual screens for editing and mixing. Once it's all set, I'll likely share a review for other people looking to upgrade. Great stuff! This video made me buy the product, and I'm excited to get it connected! Thanks!

      Provided that a mouse, keyboard, and AC cable/adapter are in use, yes, they will allow for operation while in clamshell.
