I was a Vietnam War student protestor. Thank you for your understanding and voicing of the source of the students' protest as motivated by compassion for humans who are suffering and dying and your unveiling of the way the university administration requested police responses have been vastly disproportionate and have prejudiced the public against the protesters!! Mahalo!

I'm a Viet Nam Era Protestor, we protested that undeclared and illegal War that drafted our young men with no choices, these Neo-Marxists protest in support of an Arab Terrorist Group that preaches Genocide and destruction of a perfectly Legitimate Indigenous Nation State that doesn't start wars with them. These entitled and privileged group of Professors and Students violated the Laws and Policies in so doing . There is no apartheid, nor genocide by Israelis, they fight to get their people back and for the protection of their people. These students and professors support Arab/Islamonazi Supremacists, that creates necrophile rapists, baby butchers and full on atrocity mongers, who swear the will do it again, and keep their people as meat shields. It is not through love, it is through rank stupidity.
Me too. I was arrested at the May Day events in 1971. That was an education. It’s great to see these courageous young people fighting for justice.
@@syourke3 The difference is that we were protesting real things, the draft and killing of Americans in an undeclared War with no purpose, for protecting our Environment from Corporate Polluters and the clean up of Super Sites, For government to stop legislating religious beliefs on citizen's bodies, and for Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity per the US Constitutional promises. All of these were (and are) US Problems. What these people are doing is far from that. They are advocating for the destruction of a foreign nation, and the genocide of it's Jewish Citizens, and many who are not Jewish have already been butchered as well. They advocate for Islamonazi Supremacism. No, this is not admirable, and if anything shows the corruption of our Academia, the fostering of narrative vs actual history, and the students that are involved her parrot the Marxist Paradigm of the binary "Oppressed and Oppressor', without having enough objective knowledge, nor the critical thinking skills to comprehend the GeoPolitics, the Peoples, the Cultures, et al involved. This is a very well funded and coordinated political effort, that reminds me of what the Koch Brothers did with their Tea Party supposedly "Grass Roots" Corporately sponsored Politics.
But no, nobody I knew in those years of Protest would ever have protested for known Islamonazi necrophiliac rapists, baby butchers and atrocity mongers....based in Academia taught Jew Hate and propaganda.
Amazing faculty standing and protecting their students like their children. We love you all. Forty thousand people are dead and majority of them are babies and teenagers. Hospitals, schools and universities are demolished. The American taxpayers have the right to stop funding this genocide.
And if we don't fund Isreal after the terrorist attack who is going to protect them? How many of their own people have Hamas killed? Those don't matter?
But they aren't children though they are acting like it. They are dupes doing the bidding of China, Iran, and Hamas to destabilize the US. They makes them insurrectionists.
I can't speak for all Americans, but most people I know on the left and right fully recognize the government is not representing us in supporting these atrocities by a foreign country.
My Parents were teachers. I grew up surrounded by teachers, and have always been impressed by their genuine compassion, and wisdom. Some of the most amazing people I've ever known were my own University Professors. It speaks volumes about these student protesters, that time and time again, they have the faculty behind them.
History always remembered and thank full of that's heroes whose stand for justice and truth. These students ll make history 👍✌

I was a student at UC Berkeley during two protests, 1. Anti-Apartheid and 2. Black students facing academic probation and dismissal. The anti-Apartheid protests were abandoned by Berkeley students because Communist Party USA took over leadership, when CP USA was financially supported by the Soviet government. Separately, black students build a shanty town on campus and negotiated for increased funding of tutoring and directing tutoring services to black students in particular. The shanty's were dismantled and the UC system began its program which directs academic support to at risk student groups.
The hippies were right about Vietnam and these protesters are obviously right about Gaz…

When false allegations of such are made into a propaganda campaign against Israel and Jews yes it is.
Endowments, tuition fees, research grants, alumni donations and other revenue streams contribute towards financial stability and support their educational aims. As of the 2021/22 academic year, Ivy League institutions generated $40.61 billion in total revenue.
The federal government provides enormous subsidies to the wealthiest universities by paying “overhead” on research grants. Ivy League universities received $1.8 billion for government-funded research grants despite having $192 billion in endowment funds.
Universities take taxpayer grants, endowments, and tuition, and invest it in weapons companies. These weapon companies give HUGE donations to POLITICIANS.
The universities then take the BILLIONS of profits and give them to countries like Israel that then uses the money to buy weapons from those same weapons companies who then GIVE MORE donations to POLITICIANS.
This is why ALL these America POLITICIANS are smearing ANYONE that recommends divestment.
They don’t care who dies so long as the money keeps rolling.

The total US aid to 6 million Israeli jews since 1948 as provided by the Israeli newspaper Ha'aretz is $234 billion dollars (a conservative estimate), which equates to $39,000 per person. This figure does not include the $3 Billion for the "Iron Dome" missile defense system donated to Israel by American taxpayers..nor does it include the 10's of billions in grants, forgiven loans and loan guarantees.
Nor does it include the $1.69 BILLION dollars American taxpayers donated to Israel since 1973 to "resettle refugees".
And there's $38 BILLION more from the American taxpayer 2018-2028 making a grand total of $272 BILLION by 2028 donated to a "jewish state" by American taxpayers alone. It's almost $200 BILLION more than Germany's reparations to the jews (approx $80 billion). Why?
