- Hey all, so basically I'm an LA based trumpet player that likes to use guitar pedals for live shows. I did this video hoping that'll help others that may have been wondering how to do it or what affects to get.
Thank you Mr Phillips, this is a great primer.
This is dope.
Thanks Man... If you could demonstrate how you use it live for you next video would be helpful for us newbies trying to get our minds around the sounds.
Great video youngblood! Keep up the great work...peace...
A question concerning the Eventide PitchFactor: How do you use it with the Pedal Power Power supply? The PitchFactor needs 1200mA and most Power supplies only have around 400mA how do you get around with that?
Please help :)
thank you Brandyn for this informative video, where is part 2
You still here bro?
I just got the mixing link. Are you using xlr out line mode or DI mode? Mine has much more hiss noise in DI mode. Just wondering if this is something in every mixing link pre amp. Got to get the expression pedal and switcher combo! Thank you for the tip!
Hey - have you tried using TC Helicon VoiceLive 3 for harmonies . I spoke with Jim Nelson who plays with the band Alabama today about how he uses TC Helicon stuff and how he loves how he can sound like multiple players when using it.
Good morning hope you are having a great day!!!
can you make a complete tutorial just for us who want connect mic thru console and pedals not with all the difference between them it will help a lot more than that video, I’m trying to find a easy video explains how focus on mic thru pedals and console to speaker I’m a trumpet player who want to take next level and play live music with different overview and i know you are the best teacher please can you help more to us like me trying to find that kind of instructions , instructional videos,1st steps mic thru pedal, pedal thru console, thru speakers with some different pedals will be more helpful hope you don’t take the comment as disrespectful is with all good intention to make the trumpet players around the world take the step to the next generation please advise ! If you can create that kind of videos that would be amazing ! Thanks
Excellent rig! I'm a sax player in AR using effects and am trying a few different things out. I like the sound of high class gear on anything, so these floor modelers just aren't cutting it. Good call on the Eventide Mixing Link. That pedal hadn't been on my radar until after watching the video. Also, excellent playing. Good flow and killer tone.
Awesome. Post another when you can
nice rig my man . I run my harmonizer 1st in my chain after the mixing link though. Does Having the Mod Factor befor the Pitch Factor create any issues ? Curious ...
Hey man, great vid. I was wondering if you might help with an issue for a fellow muso. I am using a eventide mixinglink with a AMT bell mic. I am experiencing a lot of rumble and valve sound when I listen to it through the Eventides headphones out. (sounds like a really gained up system). This doesn't happen when the mic runs straight to a board. Did you run into this, any idea how to get rid of it. Thanks so much for any help, and great vid man.....
you need a low frequency cut between your mic and the mixing link. The audio technica pro 35 bell mic comes with one (that's how necessary they are). It takes out all the valve noise and stage rumble. In the link below, it's the black metal cylinder, that also serves as a mini xlr to regular xlr adaptor to go into the mixing link (or whatever). I know you can buy them separately, and probably everyone makes something similar, but here it is:

Im surprised that with only 7 comments you did not take the time to answer the questions posted or thank them for the kind words.
