- Sorry for the crap quality, my USB capture device is terrible. This is just me putting an Xbox game in my PS2 and doing exactly as I expected, playing the DVD-Video portion of the Xbox disc.

I remember trying to activate the RSOD using one of those discs lol. Imagine my confusion and shock when this showed up xD

Original Xbox game discs and some Xbox 360 game discs from 2005-2008 have this DVD portion containing the error message, that’s why

As much as I like the laboratory type of start up for the original Xbox has, I really wish that THIS was the start-up instead. The whole guitar riff, the sound of a person speaking, the sequence when the green ''blood cells'' all build up to a circular shape that we then enter as if we were in some sort of gas cloud in space followed up by the Xbox logo and the drums reaching its end followed by an explosion. It's just.....so freaking awesome.
I find it kinda creepy. The sound of the guitar sounds eerie to me

If they started doing UI updates with the OG Xbox first instead of the 360, I could see this as being some later startup sequence replacing the original one.

There is a DVD partition that is read by Non-Xbox Devices that are capable of playing DVDs.

It's Actually MPEG Layer 2, Not Layer 4. Also, It's That The Xbox Game Is On A Hidden Track, With This DVD-Video Track The Only Part Visible To The PS2.
If you do a ps3 ps4, Dreamcast, Xbox 360, Xbox one, wii, Wii U, blue ray then it would probably turn red plus some times broken ps2 disc show red screen

Yep, because the emulators don't have the DVD-Video and CD digital audio playback functionality, if I recall correctly. It would make sense for the console emulators to only emulate what's needed for games, to save on development effort.

If this was the actual Xbox startup it would of been the most nostalgic thing ever by now
the PS2's "Put this disc in an XBOX" screen isnt really a feature, it just happens that Xbox games have a DVD-VIDEO track on them that just contains a video telling you to put it in an XBOX lol, kinda like how the dreamcast had an audio track telling u to put it in a dreamcast.
NO! DO NOT PUT A ORIGINAL XBOX GAME IN ANY INCOMPATIBLE CONSOLE! Here's why:
1. It will show a error screen saying to put in the disc in the correct console
2. It will show a video with bad rock music that will scare little kids
3. It will have an exsplosion when the video's over that will scare little kids also

It's reading the video file because that's what the ps2 it thinks it is a DVD and I guess Xbox put a video on the disc to tell people why it won't work but that's pretty cool so this can work on anything that supports DVDs

Just from guessing, I doubt it. The reason the PS2 does this is, it doesn't know the nonstandard hidden data track that the Xbox uses. The Xbox One would be aware of it, even if it's a game it can't play.
Not at all, I tired it and the main menu just jumps a window saying the game is not backwards compatible.

Amr Kimberly are you talking about the ps2 boot up? If u are then those blocks represent all games you’ve played and saved on the memory card, play and save multiple games to get those block things
I prefer it with the RSOD at the end.
This happens with the Xbox One when you go to blu ray mode.
It does the same with DVD's, it's reading the data as if off a DVD.

Imagine if It's impossible to play Xbox games on the Ps2 without the use of the regular base xbox console
Original Xbox games have the "slow" part of the disk (angular velocity vs actual speed) which is just video data, which is made to play a "don't pirate me" by CD readers which don't have the Xbox's characteristics.
People who keep saying this is fake are giving the Creator too much credit like he has the time to make fake intros. I tested this out for myself and it does work but it depends on the disc some give you a red screen of death. Some also play the Xbox original intro and some play this intro that is unique Xbox intro, I tested it out with five discs.

DVD doesn't use MPEG-4, they use MPEG-2...

It never did that for me. I used to play most of my Xbox games on the 360 because they were backwards compatible, except for a few games I had to play on the original console.

Xbox game disc in an Xbox 360 shouldn't as it's backwards compatible with some of the games. Xbox 360 games might have a DVD-Video portion, but I haven't tested that yet.

Xbox games do play on the Xbox 360, but you need an external hard drive to do so
