Had one of these as a 15 year old at 5,11 and it was a beast took a leg to kick over but man you get it kicked over it had more power than any bike I’ve personally felt today
That's alot of horsesh** coming from you sir. Have you tried a Yz426f? Or perhaps a 2003-2004 Yz450f? Maybe a KTM 525sx? I don't think so. But I have. And they are much stronger then a yz400f. You want to know why? Because I've tried that one too.
I loved mine got it in 2000 was second owner and still had it’s spares kit. We road in very hilly terrain and it was great one of my favourite bikes was great in the mud
I remember when I first got my 426 a few months ago I drove it to my buddy’s to show him and when I was gonna leave I couldn’t start it. I was there for an hour almost trying to start it till I remembered the hot start. Then it started first kick haha.
Nice bike man! I live in nw Oregon I ride woods too I ride a 98! I did gears and jets and good ol' engine ice keeps her nice cool 😎 it turned that thing into a woods monster!
Do you recall your gearing set up? And maybe a dumb question but what is engine ice? I just bought a 400 and in process of converting to single track woods riding. Thanks
the yz400s are made for the track and the wr400s are for trails and in the bush. There made off the same frame and everything but gear rations are dufferent between the wr400 and the yz400
I have one, it is a bitch to start but I do it differently I hold the comperrsion lever kick it all the way threw one time, some what softy, then when the Kickstarter is all the way down I let go of the lever, bring the kick start back up to TDC then do your start kick
