  • In this video I compare two orient tri star watches with one Seiko 5 watch. these have similar case sizes and overal shapes. I will discuss style, shape, comfort, finishing, price, quality, at least of the watches at hand. I would be interested in your opinion on what would be your most preferred watch and why.
    Reference numbers:
    Seiko grey: SNXS79
    Orient small cream: FAB00003W9
    Orient big blue 'Altair': RA-AK0507L10B
    because you always forget something:
    - The cream dial Orient is actually the cheapest (€82) on Amazon at the moment in its line-up. the more Sporty looking are sold for €90+.
    - same goes for the Orient Altair on strap. the metal bracelet versions are sold for €139+. since I don't like the often quite crappy bracelets on entry level watches, I rather settle for the cheaper maybe also quite crappy strap.
the proprietary leather strap maked a bit of a cardboard impression. Time will tell how it holds up. at least I got a signed buckle with it that I might use afterwards.
    - they are all water resistant and nothing more.

Thank you from 2 years into the future.
I searched bambino vs snxs and got this result immediately.
And it’s the exact comparison I was looking for.
Case shape similar, but that snxs dial and hands are too good.

I think that is unavoidable, but I get the feeling. I wore a Ring on my left hand. It really didn't do my watches any good. Besides I am clumsy as hell, so I think salvation is in acceptance... Easier said than done though.

People call it Patina, I still call them scratches. 😬
