Hurrah for your embroidery handwork 🧵. As always, your garments are as sweet and lovely as you are. Sorry for your loss. Your cat was as lucky to have you as you were to have him.
I love love love your blouse. You have such a beautiful eye for design and the fabrics are wonderful. I have been thinking about sewing again, my grandma helped me put together a pant and top set made out of a red with little blue sail boats a silk type fabric, can you imagine, I about 10 yrs. old😊 That was a long time ago, I enjoy your post with all your makes and your engaging talks, you make want to go and see up a storm 😃You are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you always, from South Carolina in the US.
So sorry to hear about Toffee. We lost our beautiful girl Jenga this year, we have two lovely rescue cats now which we love but we will always miss Jenga as she was our first cat. Hope you feel better soon. I love the raglan sleeve top, it has gone on my to sew list.
Beautiful little Toffee Pie is living in your heart now as our furry friends always do.❣ Your pants and tops are lovely, especially love your hand embroidery!🥰🇨🇦
Love your beautiful raglan sleeve blouses, each one so pretty by your design and fabric choice 💖 I think the pattern would be a darling dress, too! Love how the piece can be casual or more dressy, depending on your day's plan😉. I am so sorry to learn of your kitty's passing, always hard losing a well loved pet. We've walked in your shoes; I was a mess, couldn't stop crying! Praying for your heart to heal. 💕
Cute tops , great fabrics & made so very well. I think the top you have on look so good on you & your embroidery is beautiful. It really added to the top. Love your new fabric.
Hi Jane, sorry to hear about your cat Toffee. Love your new top, it's beautiful. Each version is lovely. I love hand embroidery on clothes.💕 The Eve trousers are lovely. Really pretty fabric haul. See you next time. Take care. Thanks😊
I am so very sorry for the loss of your beloved kitty. 🙏🏼. Great job in your shirt drafting and I keep getting closer and closer to buying the Eve pattern. Yours are so good. 💗
Love your new Orla top Jane - the added embroidery really makes the top on the plain fabric. I would look lovely with a few subtle seed beads on the flower heads if you wanted some evening glam too. You really have a fabulous style - it suits you so well. So very sorry to hear about your fur baby. I would feel exactly the same. I hope your heartache eases soon x
So nice. Yes! In my opinion, the top needs a large flower of hand stitching with the french knots at the neckline, of course. Beautiful grace upon you. ~ L
I love a bit of handembroidery on garments! I think it really made the pink top to something special and one-of-a-kind! I did something similar along the bottom of a Hinterland dress except I mixed applique in the form of little leaves and embroidery similar to your stemstitch. I don’t think you need any decor round the neckline. I also think your way of drawing the raglan seam is very nice and a bit diffferent to what you often see. It makes the blouse look more ”designy” if you understand what I mean. Looking forward to see the continuation of your Orla blouse pattern! And to every video you upload ☺️ And I loved the new fabrics you showed us!
Lovely vlog Our Jayne and you’re so brave to do it but I’m happy it made you feel a little better. I think your Orla tops are fabulous and the fabrics too. I’m also happy that you’ve been doing some beautiful embroidery you are very clever🧵🪡 the sun will shine again Our Jayne 🥰😘❤️
So sorry about Toffee 😢...hope you're starting to feel a bit better. Well I can't wait to make one of those tops!!! I actually really like the pink one on you, the embroidery is a lovely touch. Xx
You have my sympathies. I know exactly how you feel. I lost my sweet little Chloe suddenly a couple of months ago too. Its very hard. Your blouse with the embroidery is absolutely gorgeous.
I know you said the fabric of the one you're wearing is not "you" but it's really classy. They're all gorgeous, and I love them. You did well but I'm so sorry about Toffee..that's so sad, they become so much a part of you. You'll meet again in heaven I'm sure. 💞 xx
Sorry to hear you have lost your beloved toffee. X Your Raglan tops are a great success, embroidery around the neckline in same colours to echo the hem would look nice I think. Take care
I was just watching a video by a psychologist on flow. It's a state where you are using skills you have in a way that keeps you engaged and where you come out of it with a sense of satisfaction. It's great for pulling you out of boredom, apathy, and sadness. And I've found it's something I do with sewing and other activities. It sounds like you do too Also, I love the new blouse. I'm really enjoying your creations and can't wait for them to be released. (I mean of course I can wait. 😉 I'm just really excited.)
I feel for you Mabel so sorry to hear about your beautiful fur baby Toffee. But I absolutely love the raglan tops, can't wait to make one for myself....plus the pants are great too....x
Hi Jane, feel for you i had to have my beautiful best mate Paddy my horse put down old age a few months back🐴 so hard but wonderful memories.Big hugs our pets are such a part of our family💜. Love the eve pants i would like to make them. Love your new tops and fabrics beautiful 🌸 you are so clever and inspiring.🧚♀️🦋
I love all the tops Jayne, you me want to try new things! 🥰 So sorry to hear about Toffee. Losing any pet is basically losing a family member. Some TLC and time to grieve is absolutely essential. Take care xx 💕
Hi Jane, sorry about the loss of your beloved cat. Your makes are wonderful. I love your coral coloured top. Embroidery on the bottom only is very stylish.. julie Tasmania Australia. ❤️❤️
The tops are adorable. Also, being such a pet lover myself I send my condolences to you for losing your baby. I’ve been there and it’s no easier losing a animal then losing a child because they really are your children.
So sorry about Toffee, I empathize completely. Absolutely love your trousers and all 3 tops. I find your vlogs brilliant. You are so warm and friendly that although I only found you a couple of months ago, I am working my way through your library.
I wish I could give you a hug. I lost my Cuba to renal failure 3 years ago and it was devastating. My other 3 cats are all seniors and sometimes I get overwhelmed thinking about them passing away. The blouse is beautiful! Well done on drafting it and persevering when you had doubts about it.
My condolences Jane, so sorry to hear about Toffee Pie. I admire all that you do, self taught as you are and you never give up. You are an inspiration. You’ve given me a nudge to make my first pair of trousers.
Your toffee had a good life with you, and he knew it.🐱 I feel your pain. Love your raglan tops and your hand embroidery. Wish i knew how to hand embroider
Such a sad time but throwing yourself into a new project is the best therapy. Love your new tops and the raglan shape is so easy to sew and fit. I am so tempted to buy the Eve pattern now…. you always inspire me to try new things!
So sorry to hear about your cat! And I appreciate this is a 2 year old video but still 😢. It's a really good point, why are facings in 2 pieces? Maybe just to save fabric? 😊❤ Love the top!
Prefer the tops without stitching around the neck. I think around the hemline Is 👌 perfect! It really transforms the top! Lovely pattern Jayne, and sending love and hugs to you 🤗 😘 xxx
So sorry about Toffee 😐 It is heart breaking when they go. You are doing amazing drafting and sewing. My button loops are always twisted. I have no idea how to correct it but there must be a way.
I really like the rose color with the gold sheen. I think the sheen really warms it up. You could always pop a little cluster of smaller raggy broaches up by the collar to add some more interest. It might be pretty to add a little bit of the embroidery around the back button, just for a thoughtful detail that's unique to your design.
What a rail full of loveliness! I think the pink top is absolutely perfect and despite what you think it really suits you. I wouldn't embroider the neckline, as I say perfect as it is. And yes, a dress would be fabulous. As to bulky zips, they have always been my 'bugbear' and despite sewing many many years, have never been able to perfect them. They have changed so little since the early 1900's when I think they were first designed - why hasn't someone tackled it! I do find invisible zips far preferable, if a little fiddly.
Sorry for your loss, I also lost my precious cat, but I finally adopted another. I think the pink top looks gorgeous on you, I thing either embroidery on the neck or even plain would look great either way.
Sending all love on your sad loss- 💕💕 I have bought the Eve pants because of you - unfortunately I’ve had an accident with the hedge trimmer so may be a few weeks before I can get sewing again !! Love your Orla - would definitely purchase when available . Thanks for your vlogs- really enjoy them x x
Hi Jayne, again so sorry about Toffee..Thankyou for making the video, it was what I needed some friendly Jayne voice, as I’m in hospital recovering from surgery. The tops look lovely and so does the embroidery, love Tracy
I am watching this several months later but you could put embroidery around the neck maybe with some gold? But I think it could be you need a strong lip colour or something that makes you feel it pops. I like the colour on you very much I just think that the tone is more subdued which is okay!! And your ability to draft patterns is impeccable. You are very talented.
Sorry to hear about your loss. Glad the sewing is helping you. I love your tops, especially the pink one! The embroidery looks great, I don't think it's needed around the neckline, you've got such a clean line there, it would be a shame to draw attention away from it. I just realised, this was 3 years ago! Did you do some darker stitching over the top of the back stitching? Have you brought this out as a pattern for sale? I would definitely buy this! I just love the line of the raglan sleeves. ❤😊
I absolutely love your new blouse - especially in that lovely fabric you are wearing! I think the embroidery works really well and I would love to see it around the neck at the front. I don’t think that would look twee at all! May I ask where you got that peachy fabric from that you are wearing? Diana
I am so sorry about your sweet cat - I cried for 4 days straight when we lost our dear Max (we called him King Max!) so I get it. I love the top - it is so lovely! The skirt that you were wearing with the pink toile (which was gorgeous) - was it #me made and if so, what was the pattern?
I love ❤️ the design of top you are wearing, you will have no trouble selling lots of the pattern.
Hurrah for your embroidery handwork 🧵. As always, your garments are as sweet and lovely as you are. Sorry for your loss. Your cat was as lucky to have you as you were to have him.
So sorry for your loss. Your tops are fab I love them, and the pink embroidered one is just stunning. 🤗🤗🤗❤️

Nope, embroidery only at the bottom, looks so beautiful ♥️
So very sorry about you Toffee.. Its so very difficult.. I love the last blouse you made.. I think it looks lovely on you
Hi Jane, sorry to hear about your cat Toffee. Love your new top, it's beautiful. Each version is lovely. I love hand embroidery on clothes.💕 The Eve trousers are lovely. Really pretty fabric haul. See you next time. Take care. Thanks😊
Love all your versions of the blouse.

I love that pink gingham, the colour is gorgeous on you. You are such a bold, sensible and creative lady. Good on you Jane, you are so inspiring. Xx

Love your top. I love the embroidery. I wouldn’t put it in the neck but the sleeve band would look great 👍
Love the embroidery on the top. I wouldn’t add any to the neckline. It is a really nice looking top. So sorry to hear about Toffee.
I love the rose gold top. You can ‘embroider’ on your sewing machine, just put embroidery thread in the bobbin.

Whoot Whoot! Love this top! The 3rd one is my favorite and the embroidery is outstanding. I want one, love this fabric!

The tops are lovely. You could take the hem down on the pink Gingham & sew on bias tape and turn that up, so you have a little bit more length.

Oh no 🙈 hope you’re ok and on the mend ❤️🩹
I think Lauren from Guthrie and Ghani said that the beauty of the side zipper on the Eve trousers was so that they were easy to fit.
I’ve got the Eve trousers and was going to make the size 10 but now might size down.
You could extend your blouse and make a dress.. I think it would look lovely

Good morning. Just wondering if you’ve made the size 8 Eve trousers.
Hi I made the size 12 if I remember correctly x
I am so sorry about your sweet cat - I cried for 4 days straight when we lost our dear Max (we called him King Max!) so I get it. I love the top - it is so lovely! The skirt that you were wearing with the pink toile (which was gorgeous) - was it #me made and if so, what was the pattern?
Hi, I think it was the Fiore skirt xxxx
How do you purchase the pattern for the top?
Hi Ava …. The Orla is only as custom made at the moment and not yet a sewing pattern but I’m working on new patterns for this year xx
