    Bring him in!! Gerritt Cole bullied Bauer and for some reason that makes Bauer a bad guy. Its ridiculous! Why trade for a SP when you can sign a SP the caliber of Bauer without giving up anything! It is a no brainer! If he doesn’t work out then its no loss because you didn’t give anybody up.

    “My experience with Bauer is not anything remotely close to what everyone else's experience is. I love him. I think he's an awesome guy. Oct 31, 2023 (Everyone deserves a second chance. All Bauer would have to do is win a couple of games and the dart throwers would lay down their darts)

      But it is the argument you think it is? First of all, I'm not arguing for Bauer, and Mookie is well respected, that's why I used what he said. My point is, anyone deserves a second chance, and the reason Bauer isn't getting one is teams are scared what people will think. But I would guarantee if any team gave him that second chance and he was winning games, people would be praising him and the team that gave him the second chance.

    • @____8109

      @@BobE316 I believe in second chances on a case by case basis. Someone accused of sexual assault by 4 women, accused of filming himself having sex with their unconscious, lifeless bodies, does not deserve one. He got his 'second chance' by not having to go to prison because the MLB agreed to keep abuse investigations confidential when they enacted the policy in 2015.

He’s not going to cost the organization a lot of money and his pitching is awesome. As for him not pitching in the MLB. Maybe the oligarchs that run MLB need to get off their high horse. If Kobe Bryant can get a second chance in NBA then Bauer should deserve a second chance. And I’m willing to bet there have been men who have played MLB who have actually assaulted women who have been given second and third chances. Ozuma, Chapman and Sano are all still playing baseball.i guess Bauer is being held to a different standard.

    Orioles need Bullpen help and a real closer. Kimbrel has blown what 5 games that we probably should of won. We need a consistent closer which we thought we were getting when we gave Kimbrel 10 mil. With this team as good as it's been, you have no choice but to find top notch pitching no matter the cost but without being stupid and giving up Kjerstad, Norby or Mayo. We need bullpen. Baker, Webb, tate is not going to be enough to get you there. We also need a big bat. Get the bullpen help and get a bat and this team is there guaranteed.

Still a good pitcher but his days of being lights out are over in my opinion. @ohet1 I looked up Kimbrel's stats with the Phillies.
      He was 22-27 on save opportunities.
      But what I found out was he had the second most appearances and innings pitched of his career.
      The most since his second year in the majors.
      Phillies over used him.
      Mid 30's guy and you pitch him the second most of his entire career.
      Dumb by the Phillies.

    If it’s going to be a starter it should be Crochet. The bullpen is where we really need help more than anything. Right now our starter has to pitch a CG shutout to guarantee a 1 run win. Crochet has bullpen experience, he’s a LHP(all of our SP are RHP)he has the most Ks in MLB and 2nd highest swing and miss rate. He’s not a FA until 2027. He gives Hyde the option of pitching in relief in October this year, especially in bases loaded less than 2 outs situations, and for multiple innings. Next season though, if we sign Burns and keep Means, you have Burnes, Bradish, Means, Rodriguez for the playoffs with Crochet setting up Bautista, both having 6 out capabilities. So in 2025-26, if you get 5 shutout innings from each of your four starters and a solo homer from the offense, you win that game 9/10 times without any additional offense. Crochet is also going to cost less in a trade and in a contract extension, leaving more room to sign Burnes. Bottom line, Crochet trade this year combined with a Burnes signing this winter, is as close as you’re going to get to a guaranteed World Series trip and win.

  • @BrutallyOrange
    @BrutallyOrange 2 месяца назад

    If you sign Bauer and trade for Crochet that really opens you up to put crochet in the bullpen this October. Which is our biggest weakness right now. Trading prospects for Skubal almost obligates you to keep selling prospects for a big reliever because if Skubal pitches 7 shut out innings and we lose 2-1 in the 8th/9th what’s the point? Our offense is great, yea, but remember, our 1-2 starters will face their 1-2 starters so runs are going to be at a premium. Right now our 1-2 starters match up very well with every AL postseason contender, but our bullpen is in shambles comparatively speaking. Kimbrel is having a great year and still has the 2nd most blown saves in baseball, and he doesn’t even own all of our blown saves this year, he barely owns half.

    It’s sad he was cleared, he exposed mlb. And yes he’s matured it seems if you look at any of his videos in the npk and Mexican league. You telling me you can’t sit here and name countless people who were difficult to be teammates with. So you can’t use that as an excuse. He’s been cleared, the only thing I believe is still hurting him is his coming out against mlb. A lot of the negative opinions on him are sad some of the stuff said about him is disrespectful. If you want to use he’s a cancer without acknowledging how many professional mlb players or athletes period that are like that. And without looking into how much he’s changed your not being fair by actually looking into it enough to speak on it. If you can come up with something legitimate then ok. But just the same old bs doesn’t cut. Lastly if you want to have a good show. Make sure your really looking into any topic your speaking. Cause your casually speaking on a man who has a lot more to deal with then the normal athlete. So don’t blindly contribute to the negativity.

    I love Bauer, I watch his RUclips channel and he’s an awesome dude that would fit right into our clubhouse, but I have to say; everyone is so focused on the starting pitching, but our focus has got to be on the bullpen. Craig is having a great year, but in that great year he’s got the second most blown saves in baseball(only second most because of what we did to Clay Holmes after he blew the save the other day)and he doesn’t even own all the blown saves allowed by the Orioles this year. All the starters in the world won’t change the fact that we can’t close out games. Mason Miller should be the target of the blockbuster packages and Kirby Yates, I think, is the best sleeper pitcher on the market. I’ll take our rotation as it is with Miller and Yates versus our bullpen as it is with Skubal.

Let’s reverse the feet and now you’re an innocent and cleared Trevor Bauer when an important and influential person whom you’ve never met comes out and wrongly criticizes you saying it’s ok to blackball you when all the time you know you are innocent and a good person who has tons to add to any baseball team. It’s about the most unfair, meanest , most low down thing anyone can do to another. Let me tell you something, Ryan, you can’t fuck this team up by adding Bauer, you can only enhance it. I’m so angry at this crap opinion of your dads you can count me unsubscribed.

    • @RYANRIPKENMEDIA
      @RYANRIPKENMEDIA  3 месяца назад

      I don’t speak for my dad. I don’t speak for anybody else. I speak on what I think the team would do. That’s the point I was making.
      If we are being honest, I wish you could separate the two. Everything I have done has been on my own. I respect your opinion, but be careful before making accusations about me as an individual.
      And if you unsubscribe because of that, fine. That’s your choice. Wish you the best.

    EVEN IF you can overlook the fact he has multiple ongoing SA investigations and is a known clubhouse cancer (i dont know how any of that can be overlooked), he’s not even a good pitcher
    Look at his career stats. He only has like 2 full seasons of being good, the rest range from mid to bad (Covid year doesn’t count.) and if you wanna argue he’s doing well in Mexico, 41 year old Robinson cano has a 1.152 OPS in the same league. Goes to show what the competition is like down there

      Dude, this. I’ve tried to bang this drum but these Bauer fanatics are convinced he’s the Pedro Martinez of his generation. If you look at his career stats…his nearest comp is a dude like Robbie Ray. One elite Cy Young year, one or two good to great years, and the rest ok to bad years. A good pitcher? Sure. Worth falling all over yourself about based on his stats from the Mexican League? Not at all. 😆

      @@mx4159Agreed, he’s been a mostly average pitcher in his career. An average player in the best league, to be fair, but nowhere near worthy of the idolization he gets.
      Another thing I just thought of is that he was a prime “sticky stuff” regression candidate with his best run in 2020 and early 2021 before the ban. I could easily see an alternate universe where he doesn’t get suspended and just returns to being an average to back-end starter like he was early in his career.
