Hey Philly Captain! This was my stomping ground in high school (08-12). I'm from the Pine Barrons and the Moorestown Mall was my friends and my favorite place to hangout. I was a line cook at Yard House for 6 years before moving to the careeer i'm in now. It's crazy to see that the mall is now half hospital. I can only imagine what the future has in store for the mall. It's kinda rough seeing all the old stores gone. The CBD store used to be Spencer's and I had a lot of good memories in that store. Great video! If you ever want to grab a bite at Yard House holler at me!!!
Moorestown is a very wealthy south jersey town surrounded by mansions, exclusive stores and fancy restaurants. An excellent school system hometown feel and home to many Philadelphia sports teams. There are so many stores and shopping strip stores in and around the town that so many residents opt out of the mall. The mall’s future seem secure due to the many restaurants attached to it and the movie theater too.Young and old alike are attracted to these places so it will be here for a long time.
This mall used to be a great place to shop around 25 years ago. It even had a nice skate park in a section near the food court. I liked the old style of food court with all the glass cube walls and great fountains. Food was generally good. I remember a small movie theater. In a store near the mall I bought my first computer internals and built by first desktop computer around 2004 as a teen. It wasn't as good as Cherry Hill. Cherry Hill will always be my fav mall in South Jersey.
Also, happy belated birthday to your marvelous daughter, Jules, 17 is a crucial year for one in the Mid-Atlantic Region before the entry into adulthood.
Happy Birthday Jules! Your dad's awesome! I remember hearing your dads voice resonate at the deli in Lawndale on Rising Sun Ave. in the 90's. It was a carefree time and your father still carries that spirit. Keep up the great work!!
Hey...I worked at a Mall in the late 70's...was a young man of 24...I worked maintenance and let me tell you..that job sucked so bad...Especially around the Holidays...late 70's you could still smoke cigs in the Malls...Oh lord people stamped them baby's out everywhere....It would get so packed it was wall to wall crazy people.....I can't say it was all bad it wasn't...I never had any problems getting a date for movie nite...lol....Really enjoy your scoots...Wishing you the Best..and great success....
Since the Macy's Shuttered at the Moorestown Mall back in 2017 and they lost such other noticeable chains, including Lord and Taylor, which shuttered following the 2020 Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing by the company, this mall has essentially become a mall struggling to strive for success at a time where the shopping mall has become the subject of skepticism since the George Walker Bush Administration. Personally, the last time when I was in the Philadelphia area, I proceeded to go to the more vibrant, successful Cherry Hill Mall off of New Jersey State Route 38, finding more store diversity and a robust layout that rivals the Paramus Park Mall or Bridgewater Commons in quality.
You know Captain, it really makes a lot of sense that you'd spend a lot of time in an anchor store. Things we wonder about; can you buy a maul in a mall? or does Boscov's sell Biscoff cookies? Is New Jersey more than the beach, numerous strip malls and highways and tolls and tomatoes? So, we must obey doctor's orders or rather Captain's orders and wish Jules a Happy Birthday. Aye aye, Captain, anchors aweigh and damn the torpedoes, set the scooter to full speed ahead!...
Happy birthday 🎂 J girl! Hope it was a good 1! I love Josh & Ollie. I always know I'm gonna laugh when a new jolly video comes out. HomeSense is owned by TJX Corp. Like Marshall's is the lower end TJ Maxx, HomeGoods is the lower price option t to HomeSense. They've really got some high price points. I used to work in the kmart across from the mall but tbh can't remember really ever shopping there. I was going more to Cherry Hill mall.
Who is shopping at good old boscovs? I grew up with it and yeah. Axe throwing places smell so bad I can't. Thanks for the updates. I was such a mall rat. I worked at a few stores and do have fond memories of the people I worked with. And how to get food cheap. Cause. Im cheap. Oh how things have changed.
I went to the Turn 7 about a month ago, rumor had it they were going to move somewhere closer to Cherry Hill. I’m not sure if they did re-open, or where they were planning to
As a Moorestownian, the mall was never representative of the beautiful town where I grew up, wrong side of rt38 for one thing, the mall had no personality.

It’ll be interesting to see what the housing attached does for the mall.
Happy Birthday Jules !
nothin' like a good salty Philly pretzel. They were 5 cents when I was a kid.....oh, and Happy Birthday Jules!
Happy birthday to Jules!
The Regal at Moorestown mall is my favorite theater around
Put A Sbbaro Pizza, and arcade and an Orange Julius in it and make it a senior living center if you wanna save malls
Woah. A working mall fountain!

Moorestown Mall was THE place for me to shop in my pre-teen to early teen years. Lerner’s, Boscova’s, UNITS, B. Dalton. This was from 1989-1992ish.
I have a doctor's appointment at Cooper building
Thanks for the mall walk. Great video! Happy birthday Jules! Hope you have a wonderful and amazing day!! Enjoy!
There are quite a few cute small towns in Jersey, haddonfield, collingswood, mt. Holly merchantville, and yes even moorestown has a cute downtown.
Yeah, we use to love going to the Moorestown and Cherry Hill Malls when I was a kid with my family.
Hi Happy Birthday Jules! Hope you had a great birthday!
That barnes and Nobel has been there since the 90s
Happy birthday Jules, i love a nosey around the mall. 🇬🇧
I've been there long time. Last was around Christmas time. There used to be survey office, there closed. Only one left is cherry hill mall.
You missed the County Corner in Moorestown Mall where you can apply for your Passport
Among other services. I worked/manged for quite a few years.
Happy birthday Jules❤🎉

The Cooper took over the sears building
You would be great at Role Playing Games, just need the right game group
Happy birthday 🎂 J girl! Hope it was a good 1!

Thanks for the awesome video
1. Tyler State Park and the Bucks County Community College campus 2. The Mercer Museum in Doylestown 3. Fort Mifflin
I usually go on the weekend and this is a typical crowd for them. Moorestown is dying but it’s not yet in a dead mall state.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JULZ!!!!!!!!!
You explained New Jersey in perfect terms. "It's beaches, strip malls and highways."
We have a lot of farmland I'm in the midst of it. Nothing compared to PA tho 😅
Boscovs will always be there-they own all their stores
Do you at least watch Shyamalan movies because they all take place around Philly? I like seeing the city in movies
put 2$ in the jukebox!
Regal and Yard house keeps this mall alive, sad that cherry hill and KOP are the only thriving ones.
I know some malls are being converted into affordable housing
Remember Indian toilet paper doesn't take crap off anybody
Who is shopping at good old boscovs? I grew up with it and yeah.
Axe throwing places smell so bad I can't.

Wow

Oh, and happy B day Jules!
Unfortunate about Mike's, #9 with hot pepper relish is the best! Try it for us, Captain?
No subs ever
I used to work around there off of fellowship road
Why aren't you going towards the Cooper office
I did. The pretzel place is near Copper
@@ThePhillyCaptain oh ok, thought you maybe had walked there and look around.
is it a coincidence that you mention M. Night Shymalan and I see dead people in the same vlog?
No
As a Moorestownian, the mall was never representative of the beautiful town where I grew up, wrong side of rt38 for one thing, the mall had no personality.
Have you ever been to the Echelon Mall? I’m curious if it’s alive or on life support?
Crappie weather today
My stomping grounds. The place to be in the 70s. It had ducks, monkeys, fish… Always packed. I miss those days. Especially around Christmas.
I grew up in Lenola. It’s about 2 miles from the mall.
🇺🇸🇺🇦❤🤍💙💛🌹🇮🇱🤍💙
