I'm loving the resurgence of VF content with the REVO release. This series deserves to run alongside Tekken, SF, and the other GOATs. Also, Jeffry army rise up! Together we'll catch that darn Devil Shark.
Hey I tried making my case for medium LOL. I def think she is easier than the other two character I invested some time into (Akira / Vanessa) but I suppose that's not saying much lol
@@Diaphone she very weak, u need to really know her to close a match, counters are good but you need to make hard reads, not many people play her cause ur not going to win without really putting in the hours.

I'm happy to see you guys rate Jeffry intermediate difficulty, I keep seeing people say he's easy to play but I'm new to fighters in general as well as VF and I've been getting my ass whooped against fast characters like Pai and Brad lol. It's so hard to get grabs too, at least in the low ranks where everyone is mashing lol. That 3p p low combo is indeed very strong tho
Really surprised to see Sarah cited as medium. I'm still getting my feet wet in Ranked but I consider her pretty easy both execution-wise and in terms of playing her both against mashy players and good players. Yeah, she can't BLOCK in Flamingo, but 9.5/10 times, who cares? You entered the stance almost always at big frame advantage (frequently because you caught their mash with a CH elbow or something) and you have moves to IMMEDIATELY dictate terms. Are they mashing 2P? Not after FLA P+K into a free launch they're not! (Or maybe they're still 2P'ing, which is great, cause I get to practice that combo again.) Are they mashing a high/mid/throw? FLA K (or P if you have the JF down) will set them straight (or put them right back in the FLA blender/possibly launch them if they didn't). Did they finally stop mashing and/or start stepping/blocking? Finally! Now you can actually apply one of her zillion other FLA tools like FLA 3PK, FLA 2KP+G, FLA 3K, FLA 9KP+G, FLA 2K+G, sky's the limit. And if they're mashing on your transition strings to FLA like 3PK, well, that's where 3PP/6P4K/6PK come in. And that's not even brushing against her stupid-ass oki. IMO Sarah is actually a really good beginner character because she's a fantastic platform to learn actual GOOD VF offense. Not just gimmicky stuff like lol FS PP FS PP times infinity, but fundamental stuff like elbow hit-checking, reacting to counter hits, proper okizeme, when to roll the dice on high-risk/high-reward abare (throw this 1K, you asshole). You can just start with solid basics and gradually expand as you learn more about matchups and specific opponents -- and throw in a fun gimmick or two when the small-ball game isn't quite getting it done. She's no DOA5/6 Tina (Wolf is no substitute), but she'll do.
I use to play Lei in vf4. He is easier then that chart makes him seem. I wouldn't say he is an easy char, but he doesn't have any complicated combos or any just frames to learn or a strange drinking mini-game. The hardest part is learning what move will leave you in what stance. I would still put him in hard to learn, he is a character you must put some time in to learn, but I would put him on the lower end of hard.
Lei is not easy, its actually one of 3 hardest characters in this game. Correct use of all stance and whole moveset is hard, but most players just don't care about it and only use fundomental ones. Beside whole this chart actually useless, as a character with 2 tricky moves can't be really harder then one, who have like 50 of them. There is only 2 characters, who don't have such mechanic, so if you try to rate diffuculty just on this side almost everything just mid or hard, which is just don't make any sence.
Oh, i feel like a cool vid idea would be using the top 10 moves in a character's "Move Analysis" page in the VF wiki. Should work to showcase how you can elaborate a simple gameplan with only a few moves.
I played VF2 very casually in arcades, trying to get in heavy to VF5 even though I suck at fighters. Shun Di is my main regardless of how hard to use he may be. Can't pass up on the drunken master.
As a Pai Chan main her section was pretty underbaked, multiple stances you can get into, high/mid counters, strong throw game including throws to crouching and from crouching, she's much more than mashing P, matter fact thats an easy way to just get 2P'd to death online

Vaness is fucking hard. Not touching about the sabaki and ground stance and cancelables and hit confirm grabs and say the character is in between easy and medium is crazy . Akira needs nerfing "Akira has no cheese" has to be the craziest take I've ever heard about Akira. The whole character IS cheese 🧀
Actually VF is so much more fun to play. Also their actions are motion captured by martial artist, unlike some other games those actions looks like designed by a programmer.

Dude is playing with someone who plays the game a lot. It’s normal to behave that way. Griffybones may know a lot more because he plays it a lot, but those that “know” a lot about a game they play a lot doesn’t mean they know it all. Especially when you don’t think to do so.
@Pilk-c23 I get there youre coming from. I just bought vf5, and characters tend to feel nice to pilot. But one of the reasons i picked up Goh is because he was the most visually striking to me. Seeing someone who enjoys savagely beating someone with throws isnt something you see in fighting games.
