Great guide, animation and writing! Cooking with one Vinewafer is also awesome for its traveling benefits, reducing thirst rate. Especially useful early, where water is not as easy to come by and to counterweight popular defect perks like amphibian :)
So I have watched all the videos since yesterday as I am super new to Qud and I really enjoyed every bit of it. That helped me a lot, this game reminds me Rogues Tale where I had to learn from youtube a lot before I even started my first steps. Anyway, there is a huge difference between 1st episode and this one. It's nice to see that you are getting better and better. Your voice along with animations are clearly better (although that doesn't mean first episode was bad - not at all). I only wish you had more views so you can monetize it the future. Big thanks for the series, I highly recommend it to anyone who is also starting Caves of Qud like me.
Have only started getting into cooking after watching one of your older videos from a series, was surprised to see how many possibilities there are to cooking, so this guide is very timely and I cannot wait to experiment more with Qud's cooking mechanic. Thank you for this, gonna be very helpful!
Wild rice and canned have-it-all are also quite dangerous, as they might roll the effects of neutron flux or black ooze. Hitting that neutron flux off of wild rice and living to cook it again is god tier though.
Hi, me and my girlfriend just got into this game recently and we absolutely love it. I myself just got the cooking skills, so I was wondering if you still plan on making another video that goes into cooking more. I'd love to see some of your favorite recipes and dishes with cool effects.
Good introduction to cooking, but kinda wished you listed some more of the useful combos. I assume you wanted people to experiment on their own. For those who want some ideas, here're a few: Watervine + Banana: Lets you identify every artifact on the map. Useful for identifying artifactacts in shops. Congealed Love + Banana: +4 Ego boosts your psychometry level, letting you identify higher level artifacts. Asphalt + Honey + Yuckwheat: Hedge your bets in golgatha with asphalt's massive +6 to saves against those pesky eels. Watervine + Starapples: Still got sick in golgatha? A chance to remove negative conditions says otherwise.
There is an error in this guide or perhaps I just misunderstood. You state that you can just eat food from you inventory to get out of being hungry and that you will preserve the buffs from the last meal. I just tried this and the buffs were not preserved.
Chem Simple > Chef Ramsey
Thanks for continuing the series. I love the little intro in the beginning.
Thank you!
Dude I thought you had stopped making these! Yours vids really helped me get an understanding of Qud.

I might but things are subject to change this year so I want to pick things back up when the dust has settled

yeah, I'm making a spoil-free guide. I'm trying to allow people to come to their own discoveries.

you have to eat a lot of food in order to preserve the buffs which is why I don't recommend it
i saw that fire was just a croc sprite colored red! you cant fool me!
