I feel like this weapon was MADE to be offhanded tbh. The cleanrot knights offhand it, it's very fast and has the most range out of any offhanded thrusting sword, its perfect
@@user-uf7qf7mv6k I cant remember which they offhand. The issue is that if you wanna cosplay them you have to PU the spear or scythe in your right hand to be able to use the ash of war without two handing, so it kinda works out anyway
3:11 that dagger is the Cinqeadea or whatever it’s called and it’s a somber dagger w strength scaling and it has innate quickstep with the added bonus that it boosts beast incants while holding it, idk by how much but I enjoy the weapon Jeez that quit out was impressive

My main gripe with this weapon is that for a thrusting sword it has quite a wide blade and it doesn't have any slashes outside of one of the powerstance L1s. Estoc R2 would be nice for it since it's the strength thrusting sword.

Really wanna see you use repeating thrust. I figure it'd be good with status buildup, but I've been having loads of fun with it on the knight's GS without that.
I find it kind of strange that all the Cleanrot weapons are Holy weapons except for the sword. Still sad this thing doesn't have a unique moveset when used alongside the spear or scythe. So many opportunities for them to expand that system, such a shame they didn't go through with it.
Fun fact: Panthera was using the "Cinquedea" dagger which buffs damage from Beastial Incantations by 10% and stacks with Beast Claw talisman. Another Fun Fact: You can use either Mohg's or Margitt's Shackle (in consumables, Chase) to activate AND deactivate the fire traps in the tombs and caves AS WELL AS deactivating illusionary walls (for all you PvE players).
Steel-Wire Torch in the main hand with a powerful seal in the off hand containing Flame Grant Me Strenght, Flame Of The Fell God and Bloodboon. Together with the powerful Firebreather skill the spells are going to create a lot of hazardous fire all over the place. Int version with an off hand staff that has Founding Rain Of Stars and Rykard's Rancor is also an option to make the area hazardous in tandem with the Steel-Wire Torch. There is no dual wield moveset for torches so this would be a fun way to showcase the weapon. Light rolling is definitely the way to go so kiting while firebending is easier and the torch scales with dex so casting will be faster! 🔥
Love your vids btw...This may be a dumb question, but how do you get all the weapons you showcase to max level? I know the smithing stone bell bearings will get you to one short of max level... But how do you acquire the ancient smithing required (and ancient somber) to get the respective weapons to that final level??

Little build I started using today because I find this fun: Godskin Peeler with Flame strike, Keen Flame grant me strength, Golden vow (the ash of war to not need too much faith) talismans that improve damage of successive attacks Flame shrouding tear, Opaline hardtear (this one can vary) Go in for the running heavy because of how many hits it is and the last one does good damage, boosted by talismans Lv125 Vig60 Mind21 End21 Str17 Dex55 Int10 Fth15 Arc10 I have another one with Bloodflame blade which is also fun, but feels less satisfying to hit with.
Do a video with the short spear. Its unique heavy attack is multi hit and very fast. It applies status effects quickly and it combos when you use it after storm stomp Both Warhawk talon and rogier rapier do the same thing but they don't have the range the short spear does.
Sephiroth builds without ice, fire, and lightning spells are not Sephiroth builds. The man is more than a long katana, he’s a materia-powered spell-sword. Get it right people.
I have thunderbolt ashes of war, flame of redmanes, and hoarfrost stomp on it, but its hard to scale power with both fth/magic and keeping it lvl 125. Plus id have to hold a staff, so kept it dex and took moves from the final battle of the remake. Its tricky to make it good so i went with 1 handed swaps..
I’m really happy to find out 1h swords I suspected were dex specific can be just as effective if not more with strength since I love to use colossal weapons for pve but the rapiers for dueling
You should do a build using weapons with ash of war versions of spells. Like the pebble, phalanx, and the magic great sword (forgot the name) Maybe call then the Un-Wizard
U could try showcasing the wakizashi dagger, its not super great, but it keeps movesets with duel katanas while consuming less stamina… if you still have twinblades, maybe try showing an endure ash of war like how u used to use it with the caestus (works the same on immediate trade and allows harder to land combos)…rotten great axes can be greased with rot grease, i had fun with prelates charge on it, duel weiding i kept fire infusion offhand and heavy main hand so i could grease it for more rot build up. Fallingstar beast jaw.. pretty much is annoying but not bad for a showcase. Spiked spear u can show lighting offhand with a greaseable mainhand (blood grease) and extra damage that blood doesnt get. Giants red braid reminds me of the witches locks from ds3. Should be a good amount to check out there!
When you get to the antspur rapier can you slap on bleed affinity with Poison mist AoW Estoc on the offhand with freezing mist and frost affinity, slap on milicents prosthesis and rotten sword insig, really fun status build
I’m curious if you would ever implement the Holding heavy + back step variation on thrusting, heavy thrusting, and curved swords because all those have an animation where if you hold the heavy and mid hold you press the dodge button you’ll do a cool hit and backstep. The curved sword makes you do a backflip while the thrusting weapons have you swipe the air as you step back a little bit. I was wondering why you never use these in your videos?
For the last invasion, the bubble will pop with piercing fang if their holding up a shield…tested it out, i think impaling thrust works too but i never use it
Would like to see a Troll Knight Sword Showcase. It has the same heavies as the Zweihander with the unfortunate demerit of having no interchangeable ashes of war. Still a monster in PvE though. Have a wonderful day!

Golem Halberd is insanely fun in PvE, but I havent managed to really make it work in PvP. Powerstancing it and crouch attacking is somewhat viable. If you have got the Endurance for that.

I love the cleanrot sword. I duel wielded these when I fought Malenia and with flame of the redmanes in my rh I did great damage and got lots of staggers. I also did a bleed build based of these, that was op
Why the heavy infusion and not one of the elemental ones? They all come out with more damage, even on pure strength Fire is better. Pure dex lightning is best. Both give plenty of ash of war options.

Its description states "Mainly used as a backup weapon, in combination with a long-handled armament" so the sword is indeed an offhand weapon.

Idk if anyone's mentioned it yet but the cranial candlestick hammer is my fav weapon since the patch. Never seen anyone giving it love tho

I run these with bloody infusion and the proc goes crazy two hit proc and if upgraded to the right level the damage is nice
