So this video took me around about 3 days to complete (hence the reason why I haven't been uploading over the past few days) and I hope you guys enjoy it! The video contains major spoilers for Assassin's Creed Origins so if you haven't completed it, then I recommend coming back when you've finished the game.
It would be greatly appreciated if you guys dropped a like and shared it if you can! Thanks so much for all your support and I've got some more videos coming out today!

The Stealth system does in fact work. By no means is it forgiving, but it is actually quite easy once you get the hang of it. Here’s a list of tips, some are very obvious, but will be listed regardless. Is long but all are useful. Don’t like, don’t read, simple as that. So here...
    1) Use the crouch ability
    2) Use Senu (spelling) to scout areas out and tag enemies
    3) Stick to the rooftops
    4) Upgrade and Use hidden blade
    5) Use bows
6)Use the dusk and dawn ability to go in at night. It gives you a small advantage, but not huge. Enemies will be asleep, so U know where they r, and it’s a quick and easy stealth way to kill many people. Also, the stereotypicalness of it makes it more fun and makes u more “devoted” to successfully perform stealth, and because of that you won’t get AS frustrated
    7) Go slow, but not too slow. If u r in crouch mode, going different speeds doesn’t affect u being detected. However, don’t rush into situations. Take ur time
    8) Plan. Use senu to try and plan out a path through said area, and try to make a path near anything that can be hidden in. Avoid open areas
    9) Learn to improvise. Stealth almost never goes according to plan, so when sh*t hits the fan, just make a new path and plan as u go
    10) look where u are going to be, not where you are. Whilst running on the rooftops, look ahead and try to avoid Areas with no “quick” outs.
    11) Expect the worse, and ull never be disappointed. Plan for things to go wrong, and ull be more level-headed when things go bad, giving u a better chance of making a quick and efficient get away
    12) when detected, don’t give up. Learn to run from a fight. Let the enemies get close, then drop a smoke bomb so no one can see, then dip on out of there
    13) Get the “chain assassination” skill. the other person u r trying to kill will 9 times outta 10 detect u, but when u hit em with that throwing knife, they die, and u have no issues. If used in a large crowd of enemies, expect to fight
14.a) Get the “Adrenaline 2” skill. U will always start a conflict with a full adrenaline bar, so when detected from across the room, u can perform an instant kill.
14.b) Get the “Overpower Chain Throw” skill. When in the situation from 14 a, but with 2 people, u can use this to kill the other person
15)The bow is the only “tool” ull need. The other tools can make ur stealth run sloppy an end up f’in u over in more ways than can be listed here. U want to kill, and do it as fast as possible. Pretend ur Fizhy
16)avoid fire weapons. Whether it be a bow, sword, or bomb, other stuff can light on fire. While this can be used as an advantage, if u rnt “light on ur toes”nor already planning for it, u can easily get screwed over
    17) hide bodies. Avoids unwanted attention
18)go under water. If water is nearby, and u need a quick get-away, drop a smoke near the shore, dive in, and plunge. Start swimming away and the line of sight will easily be broken. Get as far away under water as u can, then recoup and give it another go
    19) Let yourself be killed. When detected an du see no way out of it, just stand there and let ur self be killed. Then do ur prep work again, plan around the mistakes u made (not just the ones that caused u to get caught), and give it another go. It may get tedious, but this gets u really good at stealth really fast
    20) always think of ways to do what u just did better. Even if in a different place, doing this enough makes it pure instinct to avoid doing things that can mess u up. Doesn’t need to be hard things, it can be as simple as “ok, so that’s about how far bayek can jump and make it with no climbing”
    21) PRACTICE!!! Don’t expect to be good instantly. Practice enough, and start off going slow, and without even thinking about it, u start going faster and doing much better. Maybe dedicate at 20-30 min vid of u practicing ur stealth. Talk enough and when u f up make it entertaining, and most will still enjoy
    22) practice stealth while hunting. Animals are even harder to stealth around than people, so getting good around them will make going against humans much easier
    23) pick an outfit u like. This uses the “look good, feel good” idea. If u like the way ur bayek looks, then u will automatically be more confident in ur skills in stealth, simply cuz bayek looks sexy af. Sounds dumb, but it’s true, try it
    24) predator bows. These are literally made for stealth and r super powerful. Use em
    25) Sabotage The braziers in camps. No need for extra enemies, that is unless u want a challenge...
    26) FINAL TIP- Have fun. If u are too “serious” with your stealth runthrough, then it will get overly stressful and boring. Spice it up every once in a while, see how fu*ked u can get, then try and get ur self out of that situation as fast as possible, whilst killing NO ONE. Might get frustrating, and ur probs gonna die, but in the long run u get good at getting out of bad situations.
So yeah, that’s my list of stealth tips. I’m not asking u to, but if anyone makes a vid on stealth tips and uses this list, just reference me in The vid so I get credit. I have no vids on my channel so I’m not lookin for subs or anything. Just want credit. Have fun with these

Yup. I'm on my 2nd play through of the game. Did it first on Xbox, and now doing it on PC.
My Xbox play through I did almost exclusively stealth. Took out all the biggest forts in the game without being seen once. You just have to be very cautious about making sure you've had Senu discover all the enemies, and then use the brush and other cover with the whistle.
On my PC play though, I'm just going all out warfare and killing everyone in combat to switch it up, and it's a very different game this way. :-)

Personally, I feel that in itself is a major change. However, I think we need to acknowledge the level design as well. While old AC games were supposed to be stealth based, there were many times, level design dictated against that concept. Often you'd have no way of approaching the next target(s) without completely exposing yourself to many others at the same time, hence, ruining that mechanic. Here however, not only do most places have multiple paths to attack from, but the layout of cover is organic, and lends so well to being able to take out entire military camps without getting spotted once. I feel like not enough people realize this, but I'm glad the team went to such lengths to refine this core mechanic.

In order to enjoy the stealth in this game I feel like you have to really wanna be stealthy. It's not easy if you just go into a fort and are like oh I wanna be stealthy this time. You have to really work for it. I personally use a stealthy approach with my playstyle. Some things to keep in mind if you want to enjoy the stealth more in this game.
    1. tag everything with senu. I mean everything. Every single guard and loot that is in the area. This will help you plan your attack.
    2. Day and night is key. Before I go into a fort I will check to see what everyone does during the day and at night and decide which one would make it easier for me to go undetected.
    3. Keep an eye out for hidden entrances. These make it much easier for you to sneak in and take out the enemies you want while avoiding almost everyone else.
    4. kill and run. After I have tagged everything and figured out my path, I immediately go in and kill the captain's and commanders. I see where they are and that is my starting point. Once I have killed them and taken all the treasure I run. classic ac1. kill the target and escape.
    5. always sabotage the brasier. If you want to be stealthy less enemies is key if you get detected.
These are just a few things. Like you said the stealth in this game is not easy at all. You really have to commit yourself to being stealthy. It's hard but very satisfying when you take out a big fort efficiently without being detected.

I completely agree with everything, except for the stealth part. I completed the game on normal and hard mode now and I completed them both in a stealthy playstyle. I completely understand your point of view, but I think the most important aspect of the stealth system is that you really need to be patient when observing all of the guards. So if you are prepared to put a lot of time in taking down everyone in a fortress without being noticed, it is reeeeeaally easy :p
But I loved the review man!
I can't wait to see what they have in store for the future of the franchise.

This is the best assassins creed origins review I’ve seen in my opinion. Good job George! For me the stealth is pretty intense and less forgiving than the other ac games, which I like, I would just want to have a more varied kill animation as it can become bland after a while.

For the combat system, especially overpower attacks I wish that if u kill the enemy with it, it does the normal animation. However if they don't die, instead of putting a sword through the body, how abt a little animation where they semi parry ur attack but take loads of dmg? Kinda like the combo finishers in AC2 and executions in Middle Earth.

The stealth could be better but it’s not that bad. You just have to be creative and definitely use Senu to your advantage before you enter a restricted area. You should also get the skill where when you click on an enemy using Senu you can see what their patrol is because this will help you plan out your attack. And you NEED to upgrade your hidden blade, quiver, and bows. Use tools and don’t be afraid to take risks. You could always just fight them if you get caught. I recommend using the predator now because it’s basically a silent sniper rifle. Hope this helped!

  • @fzdreaddy
    @fzdreaddy 6 лет назад +2

The stealth was fantastic and more realistic. You used it just fine multiple times in this video, like when u had to shoot the one guy, then hide behind a wall before his buddy got to you. Then you were still able to assassinate his buddy. Perfect marriage of stealth and combat that simply didnt work together in old ac's, where you were either 'in combat' or not. This is so much better, and you are able to mix stealth with combat/ranged combat.

At that point everyone’s just on you and you have to fight. Other than that it’s great

Tips for your stealth, go to a high difficulty base, scout out all their weak points, for example oil and where they sleep and best points to enter the base, scout out the signal fire, that's your first target, plan your moves all the time, I usually go round the walls where the archers are, killing them on my way to the signal fire and disposing of the bodies, once that is done you can go after the commanders and captains, if they spot you, back up won't know

  • @roushyyy9636

I think that Senu is one of the best additions to the stealth mechanics. It really allows you to plan out the best way to approach an objective, so their aren't as much surprises, and you always know what to expect. It's extremely satisfying to wipe out an entire compound without being detected, especially with all the different ways to kill enemies. Throwing sleep darts in fires to incapacitate multiple enemies at once, using ballistas to finish off the final couple enemies, or lighting a tent on fire with people inside. The option for ranged combat also helps keeping stealth combat versatile and more fun. I do agree that detection time feels off and their's really no way to save yourself if you do get caught, but other than that I've had more fun with stealth in an AC games than in a long time.

I love Assassin's Creed: Origins and I love this new Assassin's Creed formula, and I'm very excited for the next Assassin's Creed game. This combat system, gear system, and open world design are all amazing and can fit into Medieval Europe, Feudal Japan, Ancient Rome, or anywhere and any when else. Speaking of a sequel, I'd love to see it set in Ancient Rome, largely because they already have a lot of the assets and a lot of the mechanics that I'd love to see again, including chariot racing, gladiatorial fights, naval combat, war elephants, and Phylakes.

Flame bows with high damage against the bigger bad guys

Although I still think it can be more fluid. Especially when switching targot lock onto different enemies.

I've been a die-hard Assassin's Creed fan from the beginning. I got to say the combat and movement of this game are buttery smooth . Finally a combat system where you don't just sit there and Hack and Slash and have 300 bodies laying around you.

I know I'm like 2 years later but to add for anyone who may be looking to try this game the stealth system wasn't that bad. I played on the hardest difficulty since release and I felt that stealth was more so scouting out the area using senu and using their locations to find a path no so heavily patrolled. It definitely helps when your hidden blade isn't upgraded because it's not a guaranteed one hit kill. The predator bow is helpful in clearing out paths from a high vantage point and as you go only take on people in your way

I mostly use stealth. I love the challenge, yes it is annoying with the immediate detection but i love the realism plus you can headshot an enemy with bow in the little slowmotion that triggers after detection

i liked poisoning enemies and how it would spread to whoever got close. i once saw it happen to like 7 guys in a row and i was just sitting in the bushes watching and waiting.
i also love sicking preds on em but was having a hard time using fire to my advantage as it relies on placing and timing. one miscalculation and everythings thrown down the toilet. its easy and fun doing stealth in the dark and murdering guards in their sleep and walking out cleanly, no music playing, makes you feel like a boss. the predator bow i thought id never use but its so useful for stealth and so fun when you get head shots.

stealth only works properly if you use senu to scope out first.it is a great and handy skill to learn.it makes it possible to attack and destroy much higher opponents

  • @ACirby777

The Stealth System relies on a Basic tactic. goin in from top to bottom. Clearing all the guards on walls etc with a bow or item for example a poisondart into a fireplace for multiple guards. assasinations are best for single guards and have to be completed from behind in oder to stay undetected. mark the enemys with senu to see them and the it should be easy to stay out of sight since all elevated Locations should be cleared, an you can climb anywhere without being spotted at the top or running into a random guard. crouching is best in bushes or high grass u can assasinate enemy and immediately hide the Body similar to the heycarts. u can clear entire bases without being spotted.

I love the stealth and I can honestly say the most fun I had playing this game was taking out the large (three spear level) enemy forts without even being noticed. I loved the bows and I think they played a large part in the stealth system. This is one of the few games that actually changes its play style based on what you have equipped.

I use stealth to complete camps. It's not that different from previous Assassin's Creed games but it does have new features that makes it more enjoyable and challenging. Since combat is more difficult then stealth had to be is well otherwise people would just use stealth.
    My main tips are
Use Senu to tag all the enemies, it'll be easier to keep an eye out.
If you're detected, smoke bomb and hide. Try to stay around the area of detection so that way you don't alert other guards.
Fire is usually good on groups but since enemies can track you, you'd need to move or hide since it's not a instant kill but it does separate them so you can pick them off.
I hope you take my advice and happy hunting. :)

I think the stealth was handled fine. I tend to use lots of stealth in the early gameplay. Usually I'll head up to a vantage point and scout for enemies position via Senu. Most of the times I'll do an air assassination. The stealth in bushes worked to my advantage to when I feel I need to dislodge a guard from his spot.
The only thing I miss a lot is social stealth. There were so many situations where I wish I could opt for social stealth but the whole mechanism wasn't available in the game.

Stealth is really not that bad, if you get a lot more vantage points around the map it will increase senu (probably butchered that name) but it will increase his perception. So he can see better and before I go into a base I look at everything with him to find all the enemies. I’d also advise using sleep darts as in even if an enemy detects you, you can throw it and put them to sleep before they have enough time to alert the other guards. Also take the commander or captain fist. I’d advise upgrading your hidden blade way above your level gap so you can assassinate the at lot faster. Apposed to the stealth attack icon you get if ur hidden blade is not upgraded enough. Also take advantage of high ground. The boats for example have a lot to walk on up top so you can plan attacks better.

I stealthed through the whole game and was rarely caught. I do it by taking my time and making sure to compromise the beacon. I also take time to mark every enemy with senu. I also leave lots of bodies in the open and poison them. And finally I save the really hard boss for last once every enemy has been assassinated.

I have found that I haven't been detected right away. My playstyle is I would show myself for a second or two which they cause them to investigate what they saw which in turn allows me to lure them into an assassination. I do this on enemies who are a bit further than the whistle can reach. Though most of the time I forget to use the whistle and just do what I previously mentioned. Finally to answer your question I don't think the stealth system is bad, I kind of enjoyed it.

They have these Messages of the ones who came before in the tombs where they indicate the potential of the animus, tht it could do more than just show the past. And Layla´s goal was to build a better Animus. I can imagine that they go for that route in the next 2 games, before they aim for the"Miles-Family" Soryline again

great vid man, but in the matter of stealth, instant detection only happens when youre really close to the guard, hiding spots are actually in abundance in this game, especially in places where there is vegetation, i dont know why you said hiding spots arent much in this game,
i usually take a more stealthy approach (embracing my assassin side)
and yh from the outside it may look quite generic, but once you delve deep into it, it really grows on you, try raiding level 1 and 2 forts undetected first, and when you find yourself taking them on easily, then head on to the level 3 forts and try doing them undetected, synchronise with the viewpoints as much as possible as this would upgrade senus perception as well as his speed and how frequently he helps in combat.
use senu to spot as much enemies as possible in the fort or any stealth scenario. as this would give you an idea of how to approach the fort.

Try sticking close to walls and/ or obstructions use these to your advantage when an enemy sees you use the doge button the dash behind them this will allow you enemy's to see you but not fully detect you and they will go and investigate allowing you to assassinate them while not being to close to others so they will not hear you kill the guard searching for you you can do this multiple time to kill the guards one at a time the new stealth system requires a little more patience to be effective

*PLEASE LIKE THIS SO HE SEES* @Longearedfox yet again a greatly detailed and straight to the point vid, much appreciated mate we've all been waiting on this one! I hope you care to read this long ass comment since I'd really appreciate your input and I'd rather not asK SOME CERTAIN other youtubers (ahem @lazerzz start replying mate !). Basically my one and only gripe with ACO is how you step into a world where everything is essentially an after shadow as far as the story is concerned. What I mean by this is the fact that the motivation behind bayeks emotions and actions in the main quest is revenge of his son death (opposed to saving his son). Since his sons already been killed off, What this basically does is destroy a lot of the tension and sense of urgency that the player could be feeling while playing since you're already in the after wake of everything. If your still reading this, good because I would love to hear your opinion on this main quest line change I've been thinking up. So imagine if bayeks kid khemu was not killed but rather abducted in that scene were templars were interrogating bayek and adoptd him as one of there own? It might sound cheesy and cliche but Heres the good part, what if the game developers made it so that depending on how fast you as a player decided to chase down the main quest (say 10hrs play time) as opposed to exploring the beautiful world, you'd be reunited with a son who still loves bayek (which is a good ending, with the grain of salt being not getting to traverse the beautiful world in exchange) after which they could create a bitter sweet ending with the death of Aya (or khemu) to still keep the assassin's and templar feud blazing hot. Whereas players who finish the main quest at a much slower pace (say 30 hrs) will have a completely different experience meeting khemu in the end because he's been completely indoctrinated by the order of the templars and Juno. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this mate and great work with this fine vid.

Good, in-depth review of the game and fair too. If only they decide to eventually add a NG+ that would add some replay abilty. With further increasing the difficulty of the game at the same time. I struggled the most with the end game boss, the gladiator type guy and also the end of the gladiator arena, apart from those times... The combat is fairly simple whilst out and about, especially end game when you have the best weapons, so aslong as you're not going against enemy's of a much higher level it's not that difficult. I enjoy the wide variety of weapons available and also the skill tree, I enjoyed the story as well, overall an enjoyable experience and a nice change to the typical AC approach, am interested to see where Ubisoft will take it from here on.

Why can't open world games let you have choice in their RPG's, it gives so much more meaning to the game, if you think of the scene when first meeting Cleopatra, the dude tells you not to look her in the eyes, but this never comes up again and you don't have the choice whether to do this or not, whereas in Witcher when meeting the emperor of nilfgaard, you have to decide whether to bow or not, to speak respectfully, all that, and it gives the encounter so much more impact

The open world needs more things you can actually interact with. It's like they've created an illusion of an immersive world by having all this amazing stuff that you can look at but that's the problem: you can only look at it. That's the thing that stops you from being truly immersed in ubisoft games, they always give you all this awesome stuff that you can't do anything with.

I generally assassinate all camps, every person in them. I almost never use the predator bows as it makes the game way to easy, even after finishing the main story. Upgrade your blade, sword and chest, or bow as well if you want it to be a cake walk.
You can kill the bounty hunters at least 5 levels higher then you, I generally do so using mounted combat.
