I really love Bayak as a character, he's badass but also pretty sweet when he needs to be. The fact it was his first time voice acting as well, that's really impressive, people like Peter Dinklage and Patrick Stewart couldn't even manage it on their first time.

Bayek came to me in a time where I needed spiritual guide and council. My life is currently going nowhere and I'm having a difficult time finding myself. Bayek is a character that represents the dude I want to be: wise, funny, good looking, strong, ripped, someone who actually believes in something with a responsability that exceeds his personal desires and interests (being a medjay) and obviously, a fantastic fighter. Because of Bayek, I am not lost in the world anymore, at least, I have a starting point of what the man I want to become looks, act and live like. Thank you so much to everyone of you who was involved in the creation of this great character.
This is honestly one of my favorite Assassin in the entire franchise. I realize that Ezio is still, and will always be the quintessential Assassin for most fans, and while I do love Ezio, I just couldn't really relate to the guy. Ezio is a charmer, ladiesman, etc... I like that about the character, but that's just not me. With Bayek, he's more serious and stoic than Ezio, but he's not as monotone, naive and borderline annoying like Connor. He seeks revenge and has a dark side, but he's still able to enjoy the little things and has a sense of optimism and honor. To me personally, that's far more relatable than Ezio. My favorite assassins will always be Ezio and Edward... but Bayek definitely up there standing next to those characters as one of the best in the franchise. Bayek is basically what Connor should have been.
Bayek looks the most like me out of all the assassins 😏 but he's also got a mysterious quality that pretty boy ezio did not have. I didn't like exit at all lol
But I can’t imagine Connor making the kind of jokes bayek does in the game. I think the reason Connor was so boring is because he suffered from a tragedy at a very young age. Bayek faced a tragedy while he was much older. It is easier for bayek as he was wiser than Connor at the time of their tragedies.
I think my favourite part of Bayek was that he’s actually a pretty fun character. I thought he was going to be super boring but he’s actually really likeable. He jokes he’s happy he bangs his wife. Which I find so funny because out of all the Assassins Creed protagonists he has the most reason to be an asshole. I won’t spoil why for people who haven’t played the game but believe there is reason for him to be a totally one dimensional character but he’s not.
He was a man who lost great love felt great pain harbored great hate but always had hope and never lost faith he had probably one of the worst destinies in ac but he never lost his way
I said it after I finished AC: Origins and will keep saying it until the end of times: Bayek, for me, is up there with Ezio regarding development, emotions, reactions, just about everything. He feels ALIVE, like an actual person on a journey of revenge and regreting each step even tho he cant and dont want to stop. It is just as Abubakar Salim said it, Bayek is about internal change and emotional struggle and personal redemption, instead of shaping the world from the shadows as a killing machine with no feelins and goals in mind. Bayek actually feels like a deeply troubled human being and i fucking applaud everyone involved in the game.
The thing I like about Bayek is that he isn't "untouchable." Like, tough guys can give him a problem and he has to work with his strengths and weaknesses to succeed. Like in the cinematic trailer when he gets knocked down but uses the bow with his feet to shoot a guy. It was like "oh snap, an assassin getting hit?!?" It humanizes him instead of idealizing and it makes it so much more intimate of a story and character.
Bayek deserves a trilogy!!! I love so much his voice that when I heard it in the 15 years trailer celebration I just broke in tears back then. Same when he talks about the Codex in Valhalla. ❤❤❤
