In this episode Lamar and Kerry go over some key concepts of Nephi's vision. They especially explore the different things the angel teaches Nephi about the condescension of Christ and what that has to do with us. They then discuss some of the crucial things the vision teaches about the covenant, its loss, and its restoration, and our role in that.

Jeremiah, thanks for asking. Our show notes are very brief. I have had to ask myself if I have time for making show notes, or for creating new content that may be helpful in other ways. I don't have time for both. I have opted for the new content, which may or may not be the right decision. I am putting time into creating some classes, lectures, handouts, etc. All of that is at Patreon.com/enlightenedgeedu. Sorry if that is not the way you and others would prefer. I love your podcast. I was wondering where it says that Lehi held onto the rod of iron. As I looked back, Lehi saw the rod after he had made it to the tree, had partaken of the fruit, and was looking for his family. Verse 19 is the first place where it mentions the rod.

I think that is a very good point. I think we misspoke. Lehi saw the rod after he got to the tree. The angel seems to have been his rod!
