1. Cardio/Aerobic endurance: train between 20-40mins 3x a week at 70-90% heart rate. @2:33 2. Flexibility: stretching should be done when the body is warm at the end of class, before class mobility/joint warmup only, no intense stretching but you can do some stretches an hold for just a few seconds. Hold stretches in correct alignment and position for 1-2mins for 3 repetitions on a daily basis. @7:45 3. Turnout: make sure your turnout is right for your body! Turn 60% from your hip and 20-30% from your ankle, don't "screw" your knee. Turning out further than your body is able to will ruin your beautiful dance posture and alignment! @16:38

LOVE ur vids!! im super super nervous because im starting a dance class mext week at age 15 and i feel like its too late. im so nervous i feel like im the only one who won’t be that flexible:(
think of it like this : at least you are starting now. 15 is a young age for finding your right path, for going on an adventure, for trying new things. and sure if you choose to constantly compare yourself with dancers who started way younger than you do now you might get frustrated. but if instead you choose to remind yourself and to remember (especially every time you do not get it right away, or when at first you fail when you try something new in dance class) that some people never actually walk through their dream door ending up way more miserable than you ever will be being such a strong and determined 15 years old, also some people do not have the opportunity that is presenting itself to you, and finally some frustrated underachievers will just project onto their children what they either were never given the chance to try or strong enough / determined enough to try for themselves. So just ENJOY Fully this new experience that you do get to go through @15. it sounds absolutely awesome 😎, you are so lucky that you are going to learn so much about your body and about how to work best with yourself with the body that you have. you only get this one body for the rest of your life. Make the most of it..so precious💐👏🏻❤️ 💐👏🏻❤️

Do you have any tips for dancers coming back to pointe from an injury. I had an ankle injury and I'm now able to go back en pointe but still having some issues with that ankle getting fully over my box.
