    I'm watching this and I'm already commissioned lol. I'm in medical so I was fortunate enough to receive a direct commission and attend OTS, it was a fun experience!

    You should talk about the difference between reserve and regular commissions.

      OTS is for college graduates. you should look into doing JROTC and then AFROTC.

    I'm 22 and have a bachelor's degree but I want to keep pursuing education. Should I go OTS or try and apply for Air force academy?(23 is the cutoff)

    • @airforceofficerpodcast
      @airforceofficerpodcast  Год назад

      you’re not eligible for USAFA because you already have a degree. you can do AFROTC while working on a second bachelor’s or a master’s degree. only do OTS if you have no other option.

      @@airforceofficerpodcastwhat do you mean by only due OTS if you don’t have any other option? Also I have Bachelors, and currently have 6 months left on a 5 year enlisted contract in the Marines. How difficult is OTS compared to OCS for Marine Corps Officers?

    • @airforceofficerpodcast
      @airforceofficerpodcast  8 месяцев назад

      @KoolAidSquirt the selection process for OTS is so competitive and takes so long that it’s way easier to do AFROTC. but not everyone has that option.

      not really. vast majority of cadets will end up in Active Duty. it is possible to commission directly into the Reserve, but that’s rare.
