For anyone wanting to improve the rates, simply tame 5 cats and put them in the chamber with the villagers, this way when the game attempts a spawn it will attempt only to spawn golems since the cat mob cap will be reached. It’s also possible to hook up a trident killer to the design to use in conjunction with a looting 3 sword for even higher rates. This farm works fine for anyone having trouble make sure there’s no nitwits (green coats) villagers, and that there are 20 in total and there are also 20 beds and fletching tables. Also be sure that you’ve built it at least 100-150 blocks away from your base or other villages/workstations/beds as if there are villagers connected to a bed nearby it will shift the centre of the village so golems don’t spawn or it will mess it up entirely. Just built on my realm and works well, around a stack of iron in 25 minutes I will afk for 6-7 hours while I sleep to get a better idea of rates and edit my comment with the results. Results for me was about 200 iron per hour.
Awesome guide, thanks!!!! This is very easy compared to others I’ve built. My tip is to do it at a village you’re not using otherwise…… break all the beds, stick all the villagers in boats and brick them in with torches to keep them safe while you build… then ride the boats into the farm…. Breed up so you have 20….. (don’t trade with any of the villagers before doing this or u may have linking issues with job blocks). Doing this saves having to transport villagers 150 blocks from another village (which is one of the most time consuming/annoying aspects of iron farm build
Im so used to the farms i make working just barely or not working at all (and i never know why), so when i saw the iron golem pop up when I put the roof over the villagers, I got really hopeful. And it does work!! I haven't been here long, just expanding the storage so I don't run out of space, but I already have a stack of iron, not including what I used up to make hoppers with!! I don't really know what to say, but I guess a thank you is in store. So, thank you!!
So for those that think your farm isn't working try looking in the few blocks surrounding the gloem chamber. I noticed I built next to a underwater cave and yep... the golems are there just chilling. Ima fill in the few blocks away and hope for the best and will let you know.
Yep as soon as I filled it enough to were golems couldn't spawn (not enough space, less then 3 blocks I think) they spawned in the kill chamber!!!! SUCCESS! hope this helps
If anyone's golems aren't spawning, my issues was there was space for them underneath where i had built for them to spawn, even though it was all water, they were still able to spawn, therefore I had to place a bunch of blocks to make a space where there wasn't enough space for them to spawn to solve the issue and make the farm work.
