the iron farm is very good but I built it in a village and one of the iron golems accidentally spawned in a house which stopped the farm from working luckily I found it and killed it 8.2/10
The iron golem farm works great in Java too, just had to dig the pit 1 block deeper to keep the golems spawning only in the pit/water. I should have been able to skip the job stations (used cartography tables, very cheap with some sugar cane by the river) and reduce beds, but I didn't bother. Great first farm when you got nothing to your name but a pen of sheep and a few iron for a hopper.
You need to be in the chunk or they won't spawn but you can build it near your house if that's where your going to be I built mines on a lil island with all my other farms so when I afk there everything works

You need it to be that big because of the beds underneath and the space golems need to spawn, there are other designs that are smaller but you'd need to change things and they're way more complicated to build (in my opinion)

Try shoveling 4 blocks in length at the outside (don't break it) to make it a "path block". And then, your iron farm should be 100-150 blocks away from the village. Lastly, making this farm more essential in plains, and more biomes that with grass on it. If you are in a desert, more non-grass biomes, replace the sides of your farm with dirt and then make it a "path block" using a shovel, you can replace it with leaves too.

You can use eggs, the mine carts thing is in case you're playing survival, and I think you can use glass for most of them as long as you're only replacing the blocks that functions as walls or floors (obviously)
The iron farm was working but stopped after I left and rejoined, then they started spawning outside so I tilled all the grass and killed them and they just stopped spawning all together

@ other villagers being nearby, if that’s an issue just add them to the farm. Being able to lead boats makes this tons easier

Iron farm works so well! Make sure you turn a decent area around it into dirt paths with a shovel. Got hundreds so far.

Every sugar cane I’ve made has been slow and barely produced I could get more sugar cane from the ones I planted up the river

has to be mud for the hoppers to pick it up as mud is couple pixels smaller than dirt or sand which allows hoppers to pick the items through it.

Try clearing out all blocks that the hopper can connect to. That always works for me
Will the Looting III actually have an effect on the cow farm since game technically you're not attacking; lava is just flowing.
You have to kill the cows with the looting III sword for the enchantment to work. If they are killed by lava.. you’re not the one killing them.

10 will produce half as much. Villages create maximum of 1 golem per 10 villagers.
