Z80 will replace the D7xxx series whereas Z90 will replace the D500.... That is if and only if what video's posted becomes reality from Nikon... Anyways Nikon already have been late in revamping their Z APSc line up thereby allowing competitors to grab the opportunity to launch their APSc bodies....
Information is limited because Nikon is not working on a Z90 or Z80. If you want quality APS-C Canon and Sony are your best options. Alternatively you could opt for the OM1-MKii and the supertelephoto lens they released in 2024. It's micro four thirds.
I think the Z90 would be the perfect replacement for my D7200
I expect Nikon's Z90 & Z80 should surpass Fujifilm's flagship APSC cameras, viz. XH2 & XH2S.
