You sounded way too calm while describing that story. I would be freaking out just thinking about it. Thats an insane thing for someone to do.
I have a couple of stories… some not very whimsical… I’ll share a more appropriate story. One of my jobs I was summer camp counselor. Something you should know about me is that I am notoriously bad at counting things. So it was the first day of one of the weeks of camp and we just got a new set of campers. We all met, they got shown where they were staying, and were told to meet at a certain location to walk to orientation. The time came for us all to walk to where we needed to be and I thought that I had counted every camper. Turns out I missed one. Since we had all just met and hadn’t shared a way for them to contact us, there was no way for them to tell us that we missed them. Eventually they told their parents who called the director who called me and I went back to get them. Not the craziest story, but a work story nonetheless
